I also felt emotional watching the video & seeing her falter at points. I have stage 4 bowel cancer & when I heard that Kate was having major abdominal surgery it resonated with me because I have had the same. I also have a young daughter.
One would hope this would make all those clamouring for more details of the surgery & her condition to put themselves in her shoes as the mother of young children. I hope that she now gets the privacy she deserves.

Apparently being privileged means you don’t deserve sympathy when something bad happens to you because presumably being privileged automatically makes you a bad person. You only deserve sympathy when something bad happens to you if you’re struggling on the breadline it seems.

I hope she does have excellent treatment, she deserves it. So does everyone else, but its not her fault we don't all get the same level of care. We should; only wish for good care for everyone.

My comment was a response to a post which was deleted which alluded to advantage. There is fuck all advantageous when it comes to cancer. The care may differ but the cancer is the same. The prognosis is the same.

Yep she has cancer and I wish her well. But you can put money on her not having had her op pulled at the last minute and rescheduled for 2 weeks later as it did to a friend of mine a month ago due to 'timetabling'. Can you imagine the added stress that created?

The chemo will be the same but the speed, quality and treatment will be completely different and you are a fool if you think otherwise.
