It's so sad that she had to do this - get in front of a camera when she will be so worried about herself and her children. It doesn't bear thinking about.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll admit I really didn't think it was something like cancer. I genuinely assumed it was plastic surgery and I'd much prefer if that's what it was!! I don't judge people for cosmetic procedures at all (I'd totally do them myself with the money).

No it wasnt. This was a planned announcement. They waited till the school holidays. Which I think was very sensible in view of their young family.

Kate has always shown such strength and dignity - ever since she entered the public eye. I honestly can’t understand why anyone would want to attack her? It’s like kicking a duckling or pulling a cat’s tail. Why??

It was filmed on Wednesday then released today now the children have finished school for Easter.

I think this thread should be deleted too. I am mostly reading hate here. Reading attacking each others post and saying all horrible things each other. You have no difference than others that you are not agree with. Most of you poring the hate out from your chest here. Unbelievable

I hope it was timed. Far better that than the alternative of a woman dealing with cancer being forced to reveal her diagnosis well before she was ready because people wouldn’t leave her alone.

I think people are justified in being angry about the way Kate has been treated and for criticising those who continue to target her with gossip and supposition. Many posters feel compelled to take a stand and defend her against the relentless attacks.

Whilst I don’t necessarily agree with your direct comparison I know exactly what you mean!

It seems just senseless. She’s always acted with grace, composure and dignity as is very befitting of her role. Why oh why do some want to pull and put her down. She’s a fabulous asset to the royal family.

I wish her well and, after the weekend madness of media coverage which is inevitable, private time to complete her chemotherapy and recover in private with her family.

I think the timing has more to do with precisely what Catherine said: they have rightly spent time coming to terms with her illness and the diagnosis, they have also spent time very carefully letting the children know and reassuring them, and waited for the end of the school term. Also they knew that when she doesn't return to work after Easter the papers and social media would go bonkers if they weren't given the facts.

There is a type of bully personality who hate on people who just get on with things with grace and dignity. These types don't understand how anyone can be not like them, e.g. full of toxic attitude and behaviour. They see these qualities as weakness while also being jealous of something they can't quite put their finger on. Saddos.
