MN HQ bear a huge amount of responsibility here.

They have allowed the vicious speculative threads to continue stating that they don’t break guidelines” while deleting posts from those who dared to call out the trolls who posted them. Because let’s be honest here, they have been loving the increased clicks and the revenue that has generated for them.

There was one particular poster who spent 18 hours a day on here (and presumably elsewhere” speculating about Kate, and dragging up whatever tabloid fodder she could find under the guise of concern. Personally I think she and her various other trolly mates should be banned and their posts deleted.

And as much as those posters should be hanging their heads in shame, so should MN HQ for allowing those posters to have a platform.

Just as she found out about her health situation, Scobie published that nasty book.

Yes people will be on now in droves attacking anyone who was questioning the obviously unusual situation. Mainly it's been people curious/ concerned about what was going on with Catherine I haven't seen much of this apparent hate and I do think the palace PR should have handled it much better. Let's all just leave it now ay instead of a vicious I told you so campaign.

Oh for fucks sake! WHY do all these bitter people come crawling out of the woodwork when someone with more money than most of us has a serious problem? So what if she's wealthy? We all know loads of people have the same problem it doesn't make it anymore comfortable for her because she has servants and people fanning her eyelashes. If she's got cancer she's got cancer. I'm pretty sure behind the scenes she's shitting herself and worrying that she might die and leave her kids without a mother. I'm also pretty sure she'd give all the crown jewels away to be healthy again. Look at Steve Jobs? Bob Marley? Freddie Mercury? They had all the riches in the world "but" things were still "much harder" for them! Sympathy for anyone with cancer shouldn't be based on what status you have. Get to fuck man.

This. ^ Some people (not only on here, but on Twitter, Facebook, and other various forums,) should hang their heads in shame. Some comments I have read are utterly abhorrent.

I didn't mean to be mean about her
I was actually shocked to hear she is ill
I was making the point that she will recover and she won't have to worry about money or any other things that make it tougher for other people going through the same thing. That was all

Exactly this. My great aunt flew to America and paid for some of the best cancer treatment in the world and had the money not to worry whilst going through that treatment about how bills were being paid, being able to afford comforts etc - it still killed her.

Those poor children. My mom had breast cancer when I was 4 and died when I was 6. The way people have been talking about her has made me feel sick. What is wrong with our society?

I suspect the announcement has something to do with the unauthorised access to her medical records. Such a serious breach. I hope they are stripped of their registration.

I thought that too. Very hard of course for Charles & Catherine themselves but also for their families, especially W&C's with such young children involved. I do wish Catherine well & a full & speedy recovery from this horrible disease.

Yep. I never push for anyone to lose their livelihood but if reports are true this is utterly disgusting

In my (limited) defence, as I saw the image I posted flash up on a trashy American celeb spotting page, I thought it could have been Harry and Megan related.

It's a lesson for me not to partake in online gossip. At the centre of it, there's a real person.

For all the talk about "supporting parents" the real purpose of any business, online or otherwise, is to make money - something which can be all too quickly forgotten, even though there's nothing wrong with making money in itself

So if it was something to do with Harry and Meghan you wouldn't feel bad about starting a thread?
