Photoshoot for the Sussex Children?

1000 replies

MrsFinkelstein · 21/03/2024 16:03

I actually hope this isn't true. It's one thing I've always admired of the Sussexes, that they have (generally) protected their children's privacy very effectively.

I hope its not related to the new commercial venture.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: The photo-shoot, at Prince Harry and Meghan's mansion in Montecito, coincided with the launch of Meghan's lifestyle and cookery brand, American Riviera Orchard.

I believe H and M have sent him a message of private support, they have said it on their website, apparently they have also asked him for his marmalade recipe

I’m not sure if the instagram is to allow investors and producers to see the numbers of followers

I think the launch is all looking a bit murky now, as I said on another thread, considering the insinuations in the Puck article, maybe there are some legal matters being ironed out, hence why it appears to have gone very quiet..

Well it's not great if it is. 500k followers is not a lot for a big name, and a lot of the accounts have no followers - so are probably bots, basically.

That's really disturbing @CathyorClaire about the Royal Foundation money. I would hope the Royal Foundation itself would be able to request an account of where its money has been used. Is it now a US corporation? Delaware by any chance? Is Harry still involved?* All his private jet use for unnecessary jollies is rather incompatible with the original aims of the organisation.

*Sorry for all the questions!

Sorry. Have only just seen this.

It's a very convoluted story ending with Travalyst trousering whatever remained of the £145k grant given by the RF for setting up Sussex Royal (Travalyst being the only project set up under that umbrella) and another grant of a similar amount.

Travalyst is a private limited company (not a charity) and Harold is the sole 'person with significant control' comprising ownership of 75% of shares and voting rights (interestingly he's still noted as a UK resident in the accounts).

As the funds now lie in a private company rather than a charity it's not now possible for the charity commission or anyone else to follow the trail.

This article explains it all quite well:

@CathyorClaire That is a 2021 article.

That is a 2021 article.

If you can find anything updating or clarifying the situation I'd be fascinated to see it.

id say most celebrity brands have a secure fan base, their core support is unknown, what is known is the royal family angle sells, individual support is yet to be established, that doesn’t mean it’s not there, it’s just unproven. I’d of expected a million followers in the first 24 hours, I do think having no teasers has not helped.

@CathyorClaire Most recent info I could find. I highlighted the interesting parts. There was no actual link to download the full report.
Trip.Biz Uses Travalyst Aviation Framework on Emissions Reporting.
Date: Feb. 16, 2023
From: Airline Industry Information Publisher: Normans Media Ltd. Document Type: Brief article Length: 334 words Lexile Measure: 1550L Full Text: AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2023 M2
COMMUNICATIONS China-based travel service provider Trip.com Group's (NASDAQ: TCOM) Trip.Biz corporate travel arm has become the first corporate travel platform to use the Travalyst Aviation Framework to provide transparent flight carbon emissions data to corporate bookers, the company said. Trip.Biz is the second Trip.com Group brand to fully integrate the Travalyst Aviation Framework on emission reporting, following the successful integration for consumers on Skyscanner. Last year, Travalyst announced that its coalition of top travel brands had aligned on a shared framework to collect and display flight emissions data, providing consumers with essential information on flight emissions before booking. Trip.com Group is a Founding Partner of Travalyst, the not-for-profit sustainable travel coalition, founded by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. The Travalyst framework consists of a set of shared principles and preferred methodology for estimating carbon emissions from air travel, agreed and committed to by all Travalyst travel distribution partners. In addition to displaying emissions data on individual flight routes, Trip.Biz also provides its corporate clients with an overview of total flight count and estimated accumulated emissions - giving clients a complete picture of their aviation emissions. Trip.com Group, recently released its inaugural 'Sustainable Travel Consumer Report 2022' which shed light on the increased acceptance of sustainable travel and its implications for the travel industry and the wider world. The global survey of 7,705 respondents across 11 markets in Asia and Europe, revealed the impact of travel upon the environment has topped the list of reasons why travellers are increasingly drawn to sustainable travel. Download the full report here. Trip.Biz currently provides travel management services to 14,000 large enterprises and 730,000 small and medium-sized enterprises, among which over 300 are Fortune 500 companies and over 10,000 are Sino-foreign joint venture businesses. Trip.Biz is a business travel management company with a network of corporate clients extending out of mainland China.

It makes me angry that PH seems to be above the law in all sorts of respects. He still thinks he’s a victim though!
