So after days of so many of us saying it is not Catherine, and being screamed at, shut down and called ‘crazies’ and ‘trolls’ and all kinds of offensive names. It turns out we were right after all. It does not appear to be Cathrrine (no shock there for many of us) According to the producer that beamed this out across the world. Clearly unverified. Incredible that the news outlets just went along with it - no questions asked. What does that say about the quality of our journalism?

It was a huge gas lighting exercise.

So now we know we have one fake Mother’s Day photo and now one fake farm shop footage - it begs the question in a much more pressing way - where is Catherine? The stupid memes have to stop. This isn’t funny or anything to joke about.

No one can verify even a single shot ( I am discounting the photo of Pippa in the car with Carole, and someone’s head in the car turned away in windsor)

I don’t believe we are going to see Catherine this Easter or at any time soon. I don’t know where she is, or what has happened to her but I feel extremely worried for her.

I await Kensington Palace’s statement - it’s about time we learnt the truth. How can it be any worse than what has been speculated?

What will happen next? As this can not continue any longer.

This isn’t a tabloid story anymore, it’s been run by the BBC. There’s an important distinction between unofficially endorsing it - ie allowing it to run, and officially confirming it on record. KP and Buck House do release statements of fact.

I give some credence to the executive producer who circulated the original footage, if he is doubtful then it is likely it is not them. It looks nothing like her for one.

Yes KP have an issue short term with an information vacuum they themselves created.

It would be wise given Catherine’s status to have followed the same strategy as Buckingham Palace, and offered minimal but honest regular updates. No photos. No footage. No car shots. Nothing. Just regular updates that she has recovered as expected and looks forward to her return etc etc.

Why is it so hard to just do that? So impossible for them to make simple updates and control the narrative?

Why cover and smear by producing fake photos and allowing trashy media sites to run riot with said narrative?

This is not exactly creating mystique, but really a run away Katie Price type of gritty unpleasant cat and mouse theatrics that the RF should have been able to rise above with relative ease. Who is in KP calling the shots? They seem to lack the finesse to handle this situation with the dignity and care it deserves.

That's based on a Times article from a few days ago, which said when KP referred to her returning to work after Easter, it always meant after the Easter school holidays. This is from the original article.

I think most of the public will be expecting to see her at the Easter service as normal, next weekend.

So Kensington Palace are quick to leak that someone tried to log on to Kate's medical file but won't leak that BBC got it wrong broadcasting that W&K were at a farm shop.

All of this leaking is simply feeding the speculation. It feels deliberate. They can’t honestly be this useless surely??

They probably don't want to fuel the hysteria. If they release a statement saying 'Yes, that was Kate, and she was carrying a bag of sourdough bread and asparagus' it wouldn't quell the conspiracy theorists who are adamant it's not her in the video. It would make the online stuff a million times worse, with KP accused of outright lies. So I imagine they've reached the point of 'sod it, what's the point, anything we say will be misconstrued, let's leave them to their tin foil sculpting.' Letting the hysteria blow itself out is probably the only sensible PR approach now.

They haven’t leaked it, the story came from the hospital and KP have said it’s a matter for the hospital.

I do think she'll appear, but only because she's being forced to by the endless speculation. Which is appalling, she should've been able to see out her medical leave.

KP wasn’t the source of the hospital story and they have confirmed that W&K were at the farm shop. They won’t verify paparazzi footage
