TMZ Producer says it ‘might not’ be Kate!

Severalwhippets · 21/03/2024 04:14

So after days of so many of us saying it is not Catherine, and being screamed at, shut down and called ‘crazies’ and ‘trolls’ and all kinds of offensive names. It turns out we were right after all. It does not appear to be Cathrrine (no shock there for many of us) According to the producer that beamed this out across the world. Clearly unverified. Incredible that the news outlets just went along with it - no questions asked. What does that say about the quality of our journalism?

It was a huge gas lighting exercise.

So now we know we have one fake Mother’s Day photo and now one fake farm shop footage - it begs the question in a much more pressing way - where is Catherine? The stupid memes have to stop. This isn’t funny or anything to joke about.

No one can verify even a single shot ( I am discounting the photo of Pippa in the car with Carole, and someone’s head in the car turned away in windsor)

I don’t believe we are going to see Catherine this Easter or at any time soon. I don’t know where she is, or what has happened to her but I feel extremely worried for her.

I await Kensington Palace’s statement - it’s about time we learnt the truth. How can it be any worse than what has been speculated?

What will happen next? As this can not continue any longer.

Kate Middleton farm shop video 'isn't her' claims TMZ producer who bought clip

The Princess Kate saga continues to rumble on as the executive producer from TMZ cast their own doubt on whether the farm clip was actually her, despite running the footage

KP wasn’t the source of the hospital story and they have confirmed that W&K were at the farm shop. They won’t verify paparazzi footage

I doubt the clinic were the ‘source’ of the leak, reputation costs alone would prevent this. As well as disciplinary proceedings requiring privacy and confidentiality.

The timing couldn’t have been better for KP however, how helpful that this was produced just as the TMZ producer decided it might not be Kate after all. What a mighty coincidence!

@Severalwhippets Never thought I would end up quoting a tweet from Kevin Pieterson on a RF Thread.

https://x.com/kp24/status/1770049071811547501?s=46&t=lJm6-66fq4MtGcwwAsK6Kg

The conspiracy theories around Kate are absolutely absurd!
We see W&K most days and in the last couple days too!
It beggars belief that people would be so ridiculous and cruel in writing BULLSHIT on this platform that are out and out lies!
W&K are the most wonderful parents and as normal/humble as they come. Let K who is recovering from an operation recover.
Leave her and her beautiful family alone!!!!

FYI Kevin Pieterson is not someone who shies away from telling the truth.

They probably don't want to fuel the hysteria. If they release a statement saying 'Yes, that was Kate, and she was carrying a bag of sourdough bread and asparagus' it wouldn't quell the conspiracy theorists who are adamant it's not her in the video. It would make the online stuff a million times worse, with KP accused of outright lies. So I imagine they've reached the point of 'sod it, what's the point, anything we say will be misconstrued, let's leave them to their tin foil sculpting.' Letting the hysteria blow itself out is probably the only sensible PR approach now.

This is all wild speculation as I’m sure you’re aware.

This is not any ordinary royal story. The whole world has noticed Kate is missing. KP could shut down the nonsense in one sentence by confirming Kate was at the farm shop and she will return to royal duties on x date.

They are not confirming because it is not her.

My thoughts too.

I don’t think William has instructed any lawyers at all, which given the significance of this situation- you would have thought they would be coming down hard on such misinformation.

The response looks weak, and without conviction.

So she's out and about most days but needs 3-4+ months off? Ok.

Everyone's in the clear here. The degree of separation keeps everyone's hands clean.

Video guy? Just made an honest mistake, guv. I swear it was them.
TMZ/The Sun? Just reporting what the Honest Mistake Guy believed. Video footage supporting why he believed it, same as panthers in the Peak District, innit?
KP: no need to comment on third party stuff. Don't need to grant permission as effectively member of public saying "look at my bit of grainy video" (which the world did).

The abuse that posters/presenters/anyone got for simply saying: "Erm...that doesn't really look like Kate" was a bit unsettling though.

The clinic has issued confirmation that investigations into several staff members are ongoing.

What’s your point about the timing? I don’t see the correlation between the two things and in any case the hospital story has been running for several days now whereas the TMZ thing overnight so the timing doesn’t coincide however much you want to stoke that narrative.

Jesus Christ, I tried to catch up on the whole thread but its full of unpleasant posts directed at the OP and its absolutely not remotely 'in the spirit of MN'. @Severalwhippets I really urge you to report every single personal attack, despite thinking its not usually necessary, this constant attack on you is not ok.

As for this: FGS the Mothers Day photo was edited, doesn't mean it was fake. The kill notice was probably about driving more traffic to the Reuters website.

IT WAS A FAKE PHOTO. Several agencies killed it and various experts have confirmed pixel manipulation and Kate being added into a photo. That is a fake. William did not take that photo because that photo does not exist. This is an extraordinary level of deception when it was not necessary to do so. When the palace goes to this length to try and deceive us, there is going to be a reason. The reason is not 'Kate is recovering' or "Kate is being bullied'. If they can stay quiet about accusations of racism, they can stay quiet during her so-called recovery for a few months. There is a reason they tried to deceive us. Its absolutely reasonable for people to ask what that is.

I agree.

No they have not confirmed they were at the farm shop.

The quote was that palace sources hoped the video footage would put an end to conspiracy theories about her welfare.

That is implying it is them without officially confirming it is.

areyoutheregod · 21/03/2024 12:37

The editing of the Mother's Day photo was a mistake, but this is something that Catherine owned up to however misguided it was in the first place. But we all make mistakes.

I am tired of this line, its crazy to me anyone is still saying this given the coverage of actual experts commenting on the level of photo manipulation that was contained. It is NOT a mistake to ADD IN Kate to that photo and claim William himself took a photo that actually does not exist. Either she was not in it, or she was but they replaced her. Why? This has not been answered yet, and they owe it to the public who they wilfully set out to deceive. They not only created a fake photo, they also said Prince William, our future King, took the photo.

Yes to all of that.

It was disturbing.

It’s okay to question what we are looking at. It’s fine to discuss what we see. Where is this coming from? It’s really a new thing - the absolute shutting down of even a conversation about the authenticity of what we are being shown. China levels of silencing.

@Wordsofprey But that speculative tweet with no concrete evidence led to the generation of the story "she was rushed to hospital in December, what for, was the January announcement of surgery because something went wrong in December" . The Spanish papers stories of induced coma relate to the first hospitalisation being December 28. I think (but not entirely sure) the rushed to hospital on 28th December is also linked to the domestic violence rumours.

There is a massive global issue about misinformation and destabilisation and whilst on the face of it, the "zombie ambulance" (I used zombie in the sense that this story doesn't die) is small fry, the fact is too many people have regurgitated the story without checking provenance or deploying any critical thinking - and that is worrying for anyone concerned about how easy it can be for disinformation to be stoked up into serious situations (storming of the capitol being a classic example?
)

To your last paragraph I don't entirely disagree, BUT to your first paragraph I would say actually it wasn't just that video that fueled rumours. It was the fact that early December Will and Kate announced they'd be doing an overseas trip spring time, around March, and there were multiple upcoming events in January February time scheduled in for them both. Then Kate is noted as having a "scheduled operation" but these events are all cancelled. It just doesn't make sense that they'd be adding events to the calendar that they knew they couldn't attend. So that adds credence to the rumours of a coma or otherwise serious emergency happening, and then reports of police presence at the home in which they were staying furthers those theories.

We're being fed crumbs and trying to piece together crumbs to make a victoria sponge (queen victoria? Royals? Get it? Anyway..) and it's not going very far but I would argue evidence suggests something is amiss. The fake images and sightings are petrol to the flames, and if KP wanted to put these rumours to bed and they were categorically untrue, I'm sure they'd have done so already. The damage to Will and Kate's reputation is palpable at this point, why would they possibly want to continue fuelling that?

Camilla is taking a wee break from royal duties at the moment, Charles is unwell, William isn't expected to do too much under the guise that Kate is unwell and there is quite a bit of public backlash, Kate is MIA - possible security threat? I'm not sure. Now there isn't much evidence to back that up or really any at all apart from what's been discussed, but it does get you thinking..
