So after days of so many of us saying it is not Catherine, and being screamed at, shut down and called ‘crazies’ and ‘trolls’ and all kinds of offensive names. It turns out we were right after all. It does not appear to be Cathrrine (no shock there for many of us) According to the producer that beamed this out across the world. Clearly unverified. Incredible that the news outlets just went along with it - no questions asked. What does that say about the quality of our journalism?

It was a huge gas lighting exercise.

So now we know we have one fake Mother’s Day photo and now one fake farm shop footage - it begs the question in a much more pressing way - where is Catherine? The stupid memes have to stop. This isn’t funny or anything to joke about.

No one can verify even a single shot ( I am discounting the photo of Pippa in the car with Carole, and someone’s head in the car turned away in windsor)

I don’t believe we are going to see Catherine this Easter or at any time soon. I don’t know where she is, or what has happened to her but I feel extremely worried for her.

I await Kensington Palace’s statement - it’s about time we learnt the truth. How can it be any worse than what has been speculated?

Maybe it's just a set up by the media, put out a "story", then claim its untrue, blame everyone else but in reality it's just a pathetic attempt by the media to force them to come out and make a personal appearance just to satisfy the vultures. The RF don't need to respond, if its all just a media game then let them dig an even bigger hole.

I must admit the thread was intended for talk. My defence is an early start. I need to crack on here, but thank you to those contributing to a conversation around how we have arrived at this situation, at all, with trusted broadcasters. Why was it allowed to run and run? Why are they not verifying footage and where does that leave Kate?

Dear God, I do hope Kate is okay, she is the best thing that has ever happened to the RF in my view. She gives the old institution glitter and relevance. I wonder if this would have even happened if the Queen was still alive and well. It makes me sad to imagine what she would make of this ( or Prince Philip for that matter, no doubt that would be colourful!)

Who else uses convoys in the UK With multiple security units in multiple vehicles? I'm open to being wrong but I'm pretty certain it's only royals or extremely important people of which there weren't any visiting who would warrant such a convoy. And no problem, the ambulance is the flashing blue lights out of shot. At that point of the video being posted, there was nothing happening at all with Kate, so the timing JUST before she was admitted to the same hospital could absolutely just be chance. But it's probably not, is it?

The thing is OP I do actually think the video is of William and Catherine.

I also think that KP issued a statement early on stating she was having surgery and would not resume royal duties until after Easter - and that statement was fine and perfectly sufficient.

But the media and SM have whipped up a chorus of noise all around no further statements being issued. It seems that in this modern world of SM if there is a vacuum of information people speculate and arrive at non sensical theories of their own.

It's quite well documented that William draws a hard line around his privacy and that of his family. Perhaps going forward they may have to relook at their PR strategy and issue "titbit" statements to appease those that look for issues when there are none.

The editing of the Mother's Day photo was a mistake, but this is something that Catherine owned up to however misguided it was in the first place. But we all make mistakes.

But I quite understand why KP does not confirm or refute every single nonsense claim as they would be continually responding to some utter junk half of the time. They simply have to rise above it all.

But with a sensible head on, even if you do not think the video features W & C, surely you can see that others do - mainstream media and broadcasters. There is no reason for randoms or lookalikes to have been used! It would all have come out by now if that had actually happened.

It is a sad commentary that comments on the NY Post and Page 6 are more sophisticated and balanced than posts on Mumsnet. The woman is alive and will show up at Easter. The Spanish press is reporting she just went through plastic surgery, her face has changed and looks much younger so MAYBE that's her in the video with her "new face"? It definitely looks like a much younger version of Kate...

The clip is in central London and there is no evidence it travelled from Norfolk.
