So after days of so many of us saying it is not Catherine, and being screamed at, shut down and called ‘crazies’ and ‘trolls’ and all kinds of offensive names. It turns out we were right after all. It does not appear to be Cathrrine (no shock there for many of us) According to the producer that beamed this out across the world. Clearly unverified. Incredible that the news outlets just went along with it - no questions asked. What does that say about the quality of our journalism?

It was a huge gas lighting exercise.

So now we know we have one fake Mother’s Day photo and now one fake farm shop footage - it begs the question in a much more pressing way - where is Catherine? The stupid memes have to stop. This isn’t funny or anything to joke about.

No one can verify even a single shot ( I am discounting the photo of Pippa in the car with Carole, and someone’s head in the car turned away in windsor)

I don’t believe we are going to see Catherine this Easter or at any time soon. I don’t know where she is, or what has happened to her but I feel extremely worried for her.

I await Kensington Palace’s statement - it’s about time we learnt the truth. How can it be any worse than what has been speculated?

I don't have a flipping clue whether it's her or not, and frankly don't give too much of a shit either way. What I do care about is the 'contractual' relationship the public has with the royals.
What I mean is that they live an extraordinary life of privilege and entitlement, they are both independently wealthy, and receive taxpayer income from their 'subjects'. They are lauded and protected from the type of investigations and criticism that ordinary people are not.
As a result, they have a role to play, as pseudo-heads of state with no power, envoys and tourist attractors and as people with their life 'on show'.
While I feel anyone's medical history is private, and their right to privacy when recuperating is important, in the case of the royals I absolutely don't - they give all that shit up when they feel entitled to palaces, riches and some of my pay thru taxation - they need to be both role models e.g. Diana with aids victims, the Queen at her husbands funeral during Covid, and people that normalise the health struggles we all have.
Unfair? Couldn't give a shit, they can give up their palaces and income from taxes and have all the privacy they want. Until then, lay your lives bare and play the game.

It undermines the concept of reliable journalism, it corrodes trust and integrity. We rely, to a certain extent on these organisations to produce accurate, checked and verified information.

How else can we possibly learn about the atrocities in Ukraine and respond with charity and support? Or trust that Sudan is heading for a famine. The issue per se is not just about the RF.

I think the “hate” stems from wording in your OP. Making it sound like a random dude from TMZ deciding to read a few comments on a post is somehow a mic drop to this (or any) debate. It really isn’t.

TMZ want this story to carry on. They get money for clicks, so making a public statement that they question the validity of the video means people like you will share and click. They make money. Simple.

Issues I have known about at first hand that have made it to the papers have never, IME, reported factually what actually happened if you were there.
