Instead of not as well as a faked photo. That is what blew the situation out of control.

The situation was already out of control. She was forced to release that picture because of the pressure she was already under. And it wasn't faked, it was photoshopped.

AliceOlive · 22/03/2024 19:33

Absolutely remarkable woman. She’s going to Make an incredible Queen one day.

Obviously wasn’t her going to the farm shop! I wish her well as I do anyone undergoing treatment but especially anyone who has to go to work despite treatment and those without support.

Really? Give your head a wobble you weirdo

So much back pedalling on here by certain posters.

Yes there is.

I’m flitting between feeling second hand embarrassment for them and enjoying watching them try to squirm their way out of what they have posted previously.

Roussette · 22/03/2024 19:31

Even if she did retouch the photo why on earth did they let a woman with cancer take the blame?
They could have put out a statement saying...
"Kensington Palace would like to apologize for the veracity of the picture we put out to news media. It was unacceptable, please accept our apologies"

That would have been so much better given the circumstances.
I am sure she is surrounded with love and will make a full recovery

Have you ever been a boss, Roussette? I have (I am!). I would never throw my staff under a bus for a situation that I’ve created. That’s how the whole management structure works. Well, for good managers, that is.

ArcaneWireless · 22/03/2024 19:34

No. The gobshites, fools and twats blew iThe situation out of control.

It was her. The guy who filmed it has been interviewed.

You are still stirring up gossip and your later posts about how other people have cancer and don’t get special treatment suggests your motive is just spite and envy.

Try being more compassionate. She’s a mum of young children with cancer, regardless of her job.

Totally agree, it was disgraceful.

Does anyone really think she retouched the photo with all this going on? In the middle of chemo? And even if she did the comms team should have known it wouldn’t be accepted by media agencies.

Can you imagine the stress to her having to put that statement out.

It was very obviously not her in the farm shop - seeing her now her interview. But now we know why that was done.

What has my career got to do with my post. Perhaps drop that line of questioning thank you

I am saying that even if she did retouch the photo they could have spared her that given the difficult situation she was in with a cancer diagnosis. A KP statement is more generic
And maybe she didn't retouch it who knows

Yes, that’s so obvious, too. Leaders lead.

Absolutely this. It's a mark of her decency that she wasn't going to throw her husband or her team under the bus for a decision that she, as principal, made. She's fucking awesome not to have hidden behind anyone ,and taken the very feminist decision to take responsibility for her actions.

Have you ever been through chemo? My partner has. He could still go to get dressed, shower, go to the shops and - get this - could open his laptop to do edit work without keeling over. Of course she retouched it herself. If anyone else had done it it wouldn't have been so amateurish.

She didn’t create the situation. The idea that she was dicking around on photoshop during chemo is ridiculous. It was the other way round. She took the fall for her staff’s mistake.

StickyWickets · 22/03/2024 19:41

I think she’s got balls of steel and is bloody incredible.

This woman has been subjected to more abuse than any other woman on the planet and despite everything, faced the cameras for the world to see.

Now THAT is what bravery looks like!

Some people just dig themselves a deeper hole, not content with people thinking they may possibly be an arsehole they seem hell bent on proving it

I'm sure Kate and William couldn't care less about all of this. Their main concern will be Kate's health and the well being of their children. William and Kate are a tight unit. Good luck to them

Wise up, chemo doesn't take every minute of your day!!

I was just about to type the same. Chemo doesn't confine you to bed rest. You are still able to function. Fucking hell, the absolute ignorance on this thread to prove a point and cover for utterly reprehensible conspiracy theories.

ArcaneWireless · 22/03/2024 19:42

Well quite Bookmark

Not everyone reacts to chemotherapy badly.

My granda did not and managed to go about his day like your partner.
