I think William learned well from his Grandmother

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 22/03/2024 19:00

The comms team principals at KP are a woman with cancer dealing with the shock of that and how she manages it as a public servant and mother of 3 little kids, and a husband struggling with the illnesses of his beloved wife, his father, the chance he might be catapulted into the head of state role imminently and the fact he has to comfort his kids - on top of being accused of all the vile, deviant things he's been accused of (and which many MN RF board well known names have laughed along with). Fuck the comms. This situation is unprecedented and it's human beings with real feelings and their lives at stake at the heart of it. There is no comms that can deal with this, absolutely none.

Mirabai · 22/03/2024 19:01

areyoutheregod · 22/03/2024 18:49

ah, the fake photo? That is the comms team, they should never have done that. It did attract more attention, that is the reasons this blew up to extraordinary levels. I think this announcement was planned regardless of what the media or social were saying.

I agree, but for that she would have been left alone. It was a major blunder.

AliceOlive · 22/03/2024 19:02

Imbeciles would never leave this woman alone. That’s apparent by a quick look at the news.

ArcaneWireless · 22/03/2024 19:02

There was plenty of nasty speculation before the photo.

As we all know.

Salemforcuddles · 22/03/2024 19:03

Its apparent by this thread

RachelWalshsDog · 22/03/2024 19:03

It's not about 'the Comms' anymore.

Just stop. You obviously have no idea how ignorant you appear.

So many posters were calling him a slacker and unprofessional for cancelling.

And constantly going on about both of them being workshy. Several posters on this thread and others this week have said that if Kate was well enough to go to a farm shop, she should be back at work. And that William was being lazy for not doing a packed diary of events - that’s despite knowing Charles has cancer and his wife wasn’t well.

I do hope those poster think about this in the future when they’re tempted to be judgemental.

Serenster · 22/03/2024 19:03

That’s just re-writing history. There was already a huge “Where’s Kate” campaign ongoing before that photo was released, so much so that at first it’s publication was marked by a reaction of “See - she’s still alive!”. She was not being left alone when it was released, not remotely.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 22/03/2024 19:04

Absolutely the photo was a symptom of the absolutely disgusting campaign of harassment against Catherine and William, not the cause.

It won’t happen.

Of course she wouldn't have been left alone. Idiots were already posting about where she was and what had happened.

Newsflash: the majority of people who saw the picture DID leave her alone. It was a merciful minority (albeit alarmingly sizeable) who went at her like vultures. The photo being minorly tweaked was a massive non story to the decent among us.

Salemforcuddles · 22/03/2024 19:04

I've learned the hard way after years on Mn that posters can name change but they can't change the vitriolic shite that they spout, never was it more apparent than on this thread

I'm assuming @Mirabai means by the media, because without all their articles, this would not be such a huge deal, thats where the pressure comes from.

Yes, I'm thinking of one poster in particular who demanded apologies from the rest of us who were certain it was her in the video and that you can still be ill and pop out occasionally. Notice they haven't been back on to eat their words.

I think it was the other way round – the press largely responded to what was being said on social media, which has been far, far worse.

StormzyinaTCup · 22/03/2024 19:07

Blimey, there are some grade ‘A’ arseholes on here tonight (looking at a couple of posters in particular).

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 22/03/2024 19:08

The pressure came from the US, and it's been a coordinated campaign of certain US publications, certain stars all connected through WME and social media bot farms that the idiotic UK media have picked up on. It's been a planned campaign of harassment.

What, you mean 'left alone' like she was before Mother's Day? The baying for information, a video whatever was relentless.

Bet you're so proud of this thread now are you? Well done in contributing to the harrassment and terrible speculation of a seriously ill mother.

At that point they should have simply put out a statement, rather than a major blunder that simply fanned the flames.
