The royal family

That’s disgusting! Seriously I hope anyone found guilty of doing this is fired!

I love the Mail’s shock and outrage when they would 100% pay for this information and bail out the staff member if they could get the exclusive.

This is what happens when you stoke the fire. Love their faux outrage, as though they haven’t contributed towards this.

Haha absolutely.

The whole thing is cuckoo. I bet the RF regret not just telling the truth from the get go. Then literally no one would care.

Also here for all the comments.

The conspiracy theories are "nutty".

The attempts to access her records are a return to situation normal; arseholes prepared to break the law to sell a story for £££££s.

Reminds me of the time when Catherine was in hospital pregnant with George and those Australian radio show presenters pretended to be the Queen in order to get details about her pregnancy. They managed to get through to her nurse and the poor nurse who transferred the call committed suicide due to the shame of falling for the hoax. Only this is worse as this seems like nosey hospital staff trying to provide evidence due to the crazy conspiracy theories circulating at the moment.

It's not on at all however there wouldn't be all this mystery/conspiracy if they'd been more forthcoming about the reason for her surgery. I get that she wants it to be private and she should have that right in an ideal world but she is a member of the royal family in a far from ideal world and knew what this entailed when she married into it. Charles has been open about his diagnosis and treatment etc. IMO she would have been left alone far more had there been a bit more explanation from KP.

Things like this are bound to happen purely driven by all the secrecy and lies.

So essentially what you're saying is, unless members of the royal family share their deeply personal medical details with the world, it's basically their fault if their privacy is invaded?

You do know that divulging someone's medical details is a crime? Yes, even when it's a member of the royal family and wE aRE paYinG fOr heR.

Sorry but I don’t believe this story. It’s so convenient.

Just like all the other crap they’ve released the last few weeks.

If they would just shut up maybe this story would disappear and people might actually forget about Kate Middleton until they next see her waving and laughing maniacally like she usually does.

I honestly don’t know what the end goal is nor do I care. Leave the woman alone.

and knew what this entailed when she married into it

If there's one witless cliche that enrages me it's this one. It's victim blaming and another version of 'what did she expect?' all her fault because 'she knew what she was getting into' and it's to absolve the trolls, muckrakers and rumour mongers of any blame or responsibility for what they say.

And unless she had a crystal ball, no she didn't know all of what she was getting into.

Honestly? I'm shocked, but can't say I'm that surprised. It's a serious no no, but I imagine there is serious money on offer from the more unscrupulous sources. It's not that astonishing that some people will be tempted.

They will probably, quite rightly, lose their jobs.

I don't see what the issue is with the pics being edited ? Now it's the one of the queen with her grandkids that's been said to have been edited. So what ? Why does it matter ? Aren't every picture in the media/social media edited ?

I disagree

This wouldn't be happening if stupid people on social media were not having their idiotic conspiracy theories replayed on more mainstream news, so that the baying mob gets louder.

There have been all sorts of "well if the Palace would just do THIS then it'll all go away". And it's simply not true - if the Palace engaged then the feeding frenzy would get even worse.

This is not the fault of the Palace - it is the fault of every single person who cannot wait until Easter

And yes, trying to get information about her hospital stay has cost a life in the past. And here's some utter twat thinking that it's OK for them to try something just as hideously intrusive and just plain wrong because there's a public clamour and possibility of a quick buck.

Disgusting

As a Nurse I can easily say, this is really fecking bad.

Patient Confidentiality is a cornerstone of care, and it's drummed into all staff that you cannot access patients records unless you are directly caring for them and have a legitimate reason to do so.

Well. Someone's about to lose their job. And if a Medic or Nurse (or any allied Health Professional with a governing body) - their ability to practice.

People in the public eye are not public property.

And if you think people in the public eye should disclose their personal medical information just to satisfy purient public cosiness, then that's a slippery slope I really don't think anyone wants to venture near.

Are you really suggesting that her medical condition and treatment should have been made public?

You can’t be serious.

Would you be happy with your medical notes being widely circulated amongst your family, employer, friends, neighbours etc etc.

Charles has revealed that he was treated for prostate issues and that he is now being treated for cancer, but has not revealed what type of cancer and what treatment. Good for him. He’s revealed just enough and no more.
