THIS Friday. This Friday for sure.

Oh has the date been updated again then? It reminds me of those furniture sale ads that say “sale must end Monday”, but never specify which Monday 😆

All the money in the world wouldn't be enough to save your career / vocation / respect from colleagues family or friends.

I wonder how much they were getting paid?

Enough to go home and live well. My son worked in the middle east. Visa employees abounded.

Construction crew, prostitutes, gardeners, hospitality staff. He chatted with them all. Almost all the money they earned was sent home to family. The families bought houses, became landlords finally climbing out of poverty.

We're sheltered from so much

Christopher Bouzy (Bot Sentinal and who featured on H&Ms Netflix show saying how they were targeted by bots) is one.
He's constantly posting about it just now. Has put together video clips analysing gaits/heights/eye level etc.

I know! I’m sure he doesn’t care what I think about him (🤣) but I genuinely thought he had a professional reputation to maintain, and he’s an utter crackpot!

Uricon2 · 20/03/2024 14:25

I honestly hope that any attempt to access her records was entirely unsuccessful, they find out who it was that tried and whatever happens is a huge disincentive to pulling such a stunt in future.

The way Kate has been treated during the course of this by so many parties is absolutely disgraceful and yes, I'd say exacting the same thing if Meghan was harassed/vilified/slandered in this way while recovering from serious surgery.

Absolutely. I started following him years ago because he had some really astute political takes (& he still does, even now), and he was pretty on the nose with recent US election results.

So I couldn't believe it when I saw his posts about "Kategate". At first I thought it was a pisstake, but then it dawned on me he was being serious.

I feel a bit sorry for him because he's digging himself into a hole he might never be able to get out of.

@justasking111 Are all of the employees not British?

If this report's true at all, I guess that depends on the friends and family, lala

Looking at some of the comments on here, no doubt some would cry "Good for you!! We're paying for them so we're entitled to know"

That's depressing but not surprising - after all agencies want to get their candidates in and earning fees. Would those sort of agencies deal with a place like the hospital the PoW went to, though? you'd hope their recruitment procedures would be rather more rigorous than the place that just wants a warm body.

Edited

You'd hope so wouldn't you?

I've also been very cautious in the past when caring for high profile patients in the NHS (think sun & mirror bread & butter, rather than royalty, mind) to allocate employed staff to their care rather than agency.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/03/2024 15:32

Finally something reputable ... it seems to be true at least that the ICO are looking into a report of a breach:

ITV news are reporting that three staff members of the London Clinic are being investigated for trying to gain access to royal medical records.

OK this is getting seriously nutty now !
DewinDwl · 20/03/2024 19:28

I'm trying to get my head round this. So these are the basics...

  • 3 employees attempted to access Kate's medical records
  • They didn't access them. Whatever systems the clinic had, worked. This was and attempted data breach, not a massive safety breach like the Mirror reported.
  • From the article in the Mirror these attempts happened in January and the Palace were notified at the time. No idea why this has all exploded now although I have heard conspiracy theories about it
  • The investigation is ongoing. No outcome yet
  • it seems that it's deemed to be okay to publicise this. I feel this is re-victimising Kate.

@DewinDwl are you able to link or screenshot the exact article you saw that said the attempts happened in January? I’ve checked several articles and all I can see is that Catherine was discharged in January and that senior bosses notified the IOC within 72 hours of the alleged breach/es.

ShamedBySiri · 20/03/2024 20:37

Shocking that as many as THREE staff were so unprofessional. Not just one bad egg.

Assuming it is true, as reported, that they didn't succeed in accessing the records I think there must have been some extra ring fenced security set up by the IT department to protect the records. Very well done by the hospital to think ahead and take no chances.

ShamedBySiri · 20/03/2024 20:52

My hospital systems make me laugh (not in a good way). We all have to do annual GDPR training etc. obviously. Meanwhile when you are logged into the main patient system (notes, drug charts, observations etc) there is a pop up, which very annoyingly pops up frequently, giving alert for all patients with a high Early Warning Score for their observations.
I have no idea why this has been set up to do this. Maybe someone in management likes knowing how many acutely sick/deteriorating patients there are or something.
Anyway it means you see the names of anyone in the hospital who is scoring.
So for instance in the early days of covid I saw the name of someone famous pop up and knew he was acutely ill with covid. He died and it was reported in the news afterwards.
But I wouldn't have known he was in the hospital if they didn't have the stupid system that alerts everyone who is logged in to the names of patients with high early warning scores. Seems like a regular hospital wide breach of the Caldicott principles to me. 🤷‍♀️

Principle 4: access to confidential information should be on a strict need-to-know basis.

It’s very unusual for a celeb not to make a brief medical statement, as the King has. The only reason they wouldn’t is if it’s embarrassing or makes her look bad. Which suggests the theories about anorexia or plastic surgery are correct.

lol; how embarrassing for you. Did you not see the statement on abdominal surgery, or was that not quite enough for you?

The article is hinting / pointing towards it happening in January. Whether that's what actually happened, God knows.

Major Kate security 'breach' as hospital staff 'tried to view medical records'

Bosses have launched a probe into claims Kate’s confidentiality was breached while she was a patient in The London Clinic in January - with at least one member of staff said to have been caught trying to access her notes

It seems as if they failed, thankfully. I had wondered whether it was they who had sold info to that Spanish journo with the impeccable “source”

FizzyStream · 20/03/2024 07:44

Nope I don't think her medical details should be public. I just think if they hadn't been SO secretive and then lied in the form of a doctored photograph then the level of media hype would never have got to this point. They knew it would generate too much interest and they made it worse. They could have mitigated some of this complete circus so they aren't entirely blameless.

Couldn't disagree more.
Purely wanting to know stuff that isn't yours to know.
People should concentrate on their own lives and let them be.
They do more good than the average person realise with charities and deeds in general.
Let her and her family be.

Sorry I thought you said should be public. My bad.
