I think that's exceptionally short for final prep for BM100!!

And of course they can't say exactly when she'd be back and recuperated as Laz wouldn't let them. But knew they'd be OK to say around Easter, because he's doing a charity trail from 7/04.

It's the only one that's safe, you see; no spectators, no pix until afterwards, nicknames not names in the early stages.

Grin

(btw, IYK,YK and there is a BM100 thread, opened in anticipation, but still awaiting news of the conch)

oooh, I shall need to find that thread! Love a Barkley watch along 👍

It is rubbish. But it is because no one trusts what the Royal Family says since the photoshopped photo. When trust goes, conspiracy theories flourish.

lol. Conspiracy theories abound since the year dot. And they started long before the photo shop fiasco. And it’s now moved to Charles for goodness sake.

Oh ffs. So because of a photoshopped picture, nobody has any sense at all to refer to a reputable news site?
It's not the RF fault that folks can't use common sense.

Why are you frothing like a rabid frothing thing? My aunt’s cousin’s girlfriend’s sister in law lives 3 miles away from Paddington and she has never seen a Tiptree in his garden. And his garden is definitely not black and white. Although she says she can smell the panda

LOL that your aunt’s cousin’s girlfriend’s sister in law would get within 3 miles of Paddington’s garden without getting gunned down by his protection. He has to employ a psychotic armoured polar bear called Iorek Byrnison as a body guard. The bastard queen left him without so much as a rabid frothing beaver to protect him from the marmalade haters, who have really been showing their true colours since Paddington took tea with her. That 30 minutes of tea service should ensure him royal protection for life, but no, she left him high and dry, not so much as a Darjeeling teabag to help him start his new life. And let’s not even go there with the threat from the strawberry jam lovers. So he said he doesn’t consider them to be human. So what? They don’t understand that he meant that as a compliment, and of course the bearist press took his words out of context and twisted them.

Gosh, photos have been photo shopped for decades ! What makes people think they shouldn't be trusted because of one photo ?
I bet they wished they had just made a generic statement last Sunday saying ' happy mother's day ' and left it at that.
I'm not a royalist , but the fury and speculation over all this is off the wall.

It was undoubtedly a stupid move from thr palace given the context. But the sheer childishness of the petulant well we don’t trust them any more is beyond cringe worthy, it’s the sort of reaction I’d expect from a bunch of bitchy 12 year olds bullying someone.

ThisGreyPoster · 18/03/2024 13:24

The photo was faked.

Delphigirl · 18/03/2024 13:45

The problem is that the Prince of Wales, the apparent next head of state, released under his own name a photo of his wife that he said he took, and he did so specifically to “prove” that she was not in a coma, or dead, or with significant facial injuries due to domestic violence. Those were the public concerns. But there was no such photo. He never took one. Somebody pieced together a collage of photos of his kids from several months ago, a different background, and his wife’s face from 8 years ago, and that was the photo he released.

So the Prince of wales lied to the public - about the fact that he was on that patio with his wife and children on the day he said he took it, that the photo represented something that happened, and that the public could accept that as evidence that his wife was not dead, in a coma etc. he put a forged document into the historical record. If I was a judge and he appeared in my courtroom I would start from a position that he is a man who is happy to lie and forge for his own purposes. That is shocking but that’s where we are.

So he lied. Why? What is he hiding? And how many other lies have we been told? One has to assume a lot, given the contradictions in everything we are hearing. And why should the public accept anything at face value that comes out of his mouth or his operation at Kensington Palace?

I think the public deserves a better person to be their next head of state. I’m not alone in that. Sadly we don’t have any choice in the matter.

Are you on glue? The psychotic polar bear is not real. His name has been taken from some book that I am sure you have not read. And his bodyguard are not armed. That’s not allowed in the UK. Those little cases marked GLOCK have musical instruments in them 🙄. Anyone can walk within 3 miles of his house and peer over the fence. I’ve seen photos of his marmalade sandwich monogrammed doorbell.
Why didn’t he visit the late Queen at her castle? Was it because when he did take tea with her, he had been at the mushrooms and drank tea from the spout?
I’m not sure about him playing strip poker with angry frothing beavers. I’ve googled and I can’t find anything

Edited to change polar bead to bear 😆

This is an excellent summary of the issues.

He did so specifically to “prove” that she was not in a coma, or dead, or with significant facial injuries due to domestic violence.

But this is complete speculation here. It was Mother’s Day, and for four of the previous Mothers’ Days they have released a family photo. They have also previously marked the day by releasing photos from their own childhoods. So releasing a photo on this date was completely in line with their usual practices.

But it wasn't just a photoshopepd photo to touch everyone up an make a composite best shot, it was an entirely constructed fake. That is a different matter.

BasilBanana · 18/03/2024 13:52

I think it's quite interesting that about 10 years ago there was significant noise around the fact that Charles wasn't good enough to be King, should it skip to William etc etc. The last few weeks have emphasised to me, at least, quite how lazy and badly advised William is, and that we really do have a potential problem if Charles's reign is short.

Or it could just be that the same thing is happening to William as initially happened to Charles ie “William isn’t good enough to be King. It should skip straight to George”. And then when William does become king, people will say “Oh actually I like William, he’s a good king”. Like they have with Charles for the most part

Aside from the 'why' (I agree that they usually post a photo) and we cannot assume his motivations, as plausible as they may be, this is a factual summary.

This was no 'tweaking' with enhanced backgrounds and whiter smiles, it was a collage of images and it amounted to a lie. PW knew it was a lie. His name was on the byline.

'Kate at the farm shop' is absolute BS.

I wish Kate well, but as a Republican, let them crack on.

@Hughs

Yep, Pandas are really whiffy!!
I won a competition to feed them at London Zoo about 40 odd years ago, we went round the back of their enclosure and fed them bamboo through their cage… good god, they stink!!! And they are NOT cuddly close up, either!! Massive teeth, massive claws and coarse fur… and the smell… wheeeeew!!
Lovely experience, but totally changed my opinion about them🐼

I wouldn't be surprised if this story was completely made up by the Sun for clicks. I'd say the editors are having a great laugh about it.

Pictures or it didn’t happen. You could have killed Heather and be shagging her dog for all we know.

More likely to have killed them both but that's a story for another day :)

I saw the kill notice. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t see too much here on MN that I find credible.
