Harry and Meghan are so petty and bitter

1000 replies

BigFluffyHoodie · 15/03/2024 10:30

They knew that announcing Meghan's new venture would be big news. So they dropped it 45 minutes before William was due to speak yesterday evening. At an awards ceremony dedicated to harry and William's mother's memory.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh no. They then announced the winner of their own awards. While the Diana awards were still going on and Prince William was handing out prizes.

Is there no level this petty, bitter couple won't sink to?!

@LittleGlowingOblong Her dad’s a retired cameraman Actually, her father was Director of Photography on several shows, one of which was eight years on "Married with Children", which, like it or not, was enormously successful at the time. He was also Lighting Director on several projects.

@IsoldeWagner The $4.99 Sizzler salad story is a more romantic one though! I think on The Tig (or somewhere) she said her dad used to take her to Musso and Franks restaurant after Saturday morning dance classes.

I am a keen reader of the Harry Bosch books and Michael Connelly frequently used to mention LA restaurants in them. Now I am such a saddo that out of idle curiosity I looked some up. One that he would frequently having meals at was Musso & Franks. I was gobsmacked. It was moderately expensive, and I thought Harry - not Harry Bosch, surely! - must be on the take to be able to eat there so frequently.

Anyway, I was again gobsmacked when I read the Sizzler story, because M&Fs is definitely a few steps above Sizzlers. I wished she'd get her stories straight.

Here you are getting in a flap when I suggested that you may well report people who you said were ganging up on you yesterday. You obviously don't like it when people seem to suggest things about you but then you do it in an obvious and sarcastic way.

There have been a core group of posters who have been picking on Roussette for as long as I can remember. Often they gang up.

(It’s happened to me on here, but nothing like Roussette has had to put up with. I salute that Rousette has never name changed. I’ve name changed as a result of it happening to me and it didn’t happen to me near as frequently).

The other day someone quoted a single sentence from one of Rousette’s posts in order to respond to it. The middle part of Roussette’s sentence was deliberately omitted so that it changed the meaning of the original sentence. The poster then critically addressed the partially redacted quote as if Rousette had written it that way originally. She had not.

If you’re gonna give it you can expect to get it back. I haven’t witnessed bullying, challenging, yes.

that is so true. anywhere else it would be seen as bullying.
as you say @Roussette never name changes, but has to put up with her posts being pulled apart.

themessygarden · 18/03/2024 08:53

I also think some posters take issue when a poster appears to flip-flop in their stance, that often gets called out by several posters for being hypocritical, rather than it being a 'pile on' or bullying.

Edited - That's the upside to name changing, you can have an opinion today on one post and tomorrow contradict your previous comment and no one will realise.

PinkTonic · 18/03/2024 08:55

Ouch

MaturingCheeseball · 18/03/2024 09:01

Ozempic sounds horrific - you must have to pair it with a packet of Imodium if you leave the house; three packets and a cork for a red carpet event Shock

I read that no one eats at celebrity parties at all for fear of being photographed doing an “eating face” ie chewing or swallowing or generally not looking ready for one’s close up.

A link -up for the Orchard Riviera stuff is the way to go. I have just bought some Stacey Solomon bedding from Asda. It’s very pretty! Bluebells.

Re: Ozempic - there's something called "Ozempic face" - you lose the fat from your face and it makes your teeth look big and out of proportion, so you have to get fillers to reduce the problem.

MaturingCheeseball · 18/03/2024 09:18

Is it worth it? I was looking at a Famous Woman on the tv the other evening and she looked as if there was no flesh on her face at all. Well, they say it’s face or figure over 50. I’m sad to say i’ve ended up with neither -waaaagh!

MarmaladeMarkle · 18/03/2024 09:21

I think Sharon Osborne and her daughter are both very good examples of why you should stay away from Ozempic if you are not obese or a diabetic. Both of them look about 20 years older than they actually are, it has ravaged their faces.

This reminds me of when Alicia Douvall had to get a chin implant to make her lip fillers look in proportion.

I'm a little disappointed to hear that they think the plastic storage containers are unlikely to feature, they are universal in their service and ones produced by a real life duchess, monogramed for authenticity, would be a star line

I saw one too.

A once absolutely gorgeous woman who now, so terribly sadly, is not.

I know looks aren’t everything. I should know as I have a rearranged face and look like a battered bin lid. Couple that with a body like a barbapapa shaped Bungle? It is apparent my hefty self is not for the screen.

I just don’t get why someone who has bumped every branch on the beautiful tree would do that to themselves.

Weight loss is a very tricky thing to get right with diet alone , I have a very slight build ( not a stealth boast!) , no excess fat on my face hands at all , when I put on weight while pregnant ( twice!) it has taken 12 years to lose it!!
It always goes from the place you don't want first!
And once you hit a certain age , losing from you face is just a recipe for looking old!
