They knew that announcing Meghan's new venture would be big news. So they dropped it 45 minutes before William was due to speak yesterday evening. At an awards ceremony dedicated to harry and William's mother's memory.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh no. They then announced the winner of their own awards. While the Diana awards were still going on and Prince William was handing out prizes.

Is there no level this petty, bitter couple won't sink to?!

Sarah Ferguson, although a massive climber, grifter, dishonest and all-round morally dubious person, has an essentially likeable quality, a sense of humour, can be self-deprecating, and is careful not to insult or disparage the UK or RF. She doesn’t preach, or lecture others on how to live their lives, nor does she make grandiose claims for herself.

So back to basics. I do think launching American Riviera Orchard while the Diana Awards were happening seems petty. Meghan is known for her freakish attention to detail. She will be aware of the timing.

Harry being so late to his virtual speech seems both petty and disrespectful to the award recipients. Further, I can’t help but wonder why he could not show up earlier. I am hoping it was a technical issue. But have other suspicions. I do think if it’s on purpose the “bitter” tag is fair.

I strive to label behavior not people. Except some people I know IRL and then I feel comfortable with giving an overarching opinion on their character.

Although PPs have now pointed out that maybe they were doing it cynically to draw attention. Certainly, it all seems to have been thrown together behind the scenes. Very recent URL and trademark registration.

In fairness, they seem to have admin issues so the late registration, Harry being so late, the terrible timing might just be ineptitude in Harry and managing the organization.

It’s reported a number of places and sounds like it’s coming from the Sussex PR team, so I think so but of course can’t be sure.
