The royal family

Harry and Meghan are so petty and bitter

They knew that announcing Meghan's new venture would be big news. So they dropped it 45 minutes before William was due to speak yesterday evening. At an awards ceremony dedicated to harry and William's mother's memory.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh no. They then announced the winner of their own awards. While the Diana awards were still going on and Prince William was handing out prizes.

Is there no level this petty, bitter couple won't sink to?!

Ok. So she criticised the system rather than the actual family?

I think that most people would assume that calling a member(s) of a family racist is criticising them?

I suppose Sarah still seems well connected (thanks to her daughters and diplomatic social skills), and she shows up at the odd royal event

I think Sarah has zero social skills !

Grinning and laughing whilst leading all the Royal family into a memorial service for the ex King of Greece! I mean...😮

I think she gets an easy ride on MN. She is ex wife of 30 years of a disgraced member of the royal family who borrowed money off of a convicted sex trafficker, who has traded on her title for decades, but who lives on a Royal estate. Which she uses the grounds for, to film excruciating footage of her dressed in old royal garb to flog her mills and boon books.

Why should she show up at any royal event, I dont get it.

jeffgoldblum · 16/03/2024 14:31

I believe that poster was referring to Sarah Ferguson!
Who I believe only ever criticised the "men in grey "
Rather than the actual royal family.

sorry for any misunderstanding OP. I meant SF. I haven’t seen her doing a number on the members of the RF.

Perhaps criticising the men in grey suits or whatever but not the family.

Allaboutthegrift · 16/03/2024 14:39

I do wonder why H&M didn’t criticise PA soundly though.

They criticised others plenty enough.

I wonder why not him - save a little paragraph. That strikes me as very odd.

I truly wish them the best. Having the courage to seek freedom specially as Harry did not know any other life is admirable

I agree. I think he was brave

But he didn't want to leave, or break free, did he? He wanted to be half in, half out. Cake and eat it. All the fun of being a royal, all the privilege, all the perks, with none of the boring stuff.

To which the very wise late Queen said "Nope!"

It doesn't strike me as odd. After all, his two brothers and sister have not said a word, so why should his nephew who doesn't even live in the country say anything

Oh I see! Soz.

Yes, after a fairly disastrous time in the family, she has trodden a careful path.

Roussette · 16/03/2024 14:44

Yes, she knows which side her bread is buttered. Without her ex and royal Dosh she would probably be in the bankruptcy courts

Allaboutthegrift · 16/03/2024 14:44

His brothers and sisters haven’t bad mouthed anyone (in public) though.

If I were going to berate anyone in public it would have been him.

Not chatting on about bridesmaid’s tights.

His brothers and sister haven't made a career out of going on tv/Netflix/chat shows/writing books/doing magazine interviews about the family, in detail and breaching privacy. It's funny that they do all that about other folks in the family and not Andrew. Unless I've missed it?

Sameratdifferenthat · 16/03/2024 14:46

I agree OP, H & M are bitter effing grifters.

That's what I don't get. Tights, lipgloss, a whole ton of nonsense. Andrew ? Nada. Such a social justice warrior 😉

Roussette · 16/03/2024 14:48

I totally disagree with the last few posts

If there is anything to be said it should be by his siblings one of whom is the King!

He is very wise to avoid the debacle of disgraced Andrew

As normal on here we can agree to disagree

BigFluffyHoodie · 16/03/2024 14:48

I've thought of a motto for Meghan:

"Pioneering philanthropist activist feminists can make jam too!"

IsoldeWagner · 16/03/2024 14:50

We can, @Roussette . However, some members of the family don't publicise criticisms of the others. Harry openly and frequently has done so. His choice is never to criticise Andrew. Puzzling but that's Harry for you.

Also I don't know what Kate ever did to him, I always thought she was the sister he never had?

Could you please explain how he has 'covered up' Andrew's awful behaviour?
Was he the one who paid out £12 million to a sex trafficked victim?

Harry has done nothing to help or enable Andrew. That was his mother's doing

Allaboutthegrift · 16/03/2024 14:53

Yes. You can be disappointed in a lot of things they’ve done.

But that would have really hurt and seemed deeply unfair Isolde

I only say that because we could go around and round in circles for hours. At some point we have to agree to disagree. Sorry if that offends you
