Do not read or comment if you aren't interested!

Shamefully starting a new Kate related thread for the fellow people like me who are so far down the rabbit hole they need to talk it out with fellow tin foil hat wearers 🤙
I want to know.. what do you think?
Where is she?
The wild theories?
Will she make the Easter Day service?
What the hell is going on over at KP?

I think she's seriously ill and will be stepping back soon.

I've got popcorn and I've got alllllll night, let's dissect.

How convenient they have stopped the future engagement entries.

We can see from the posted stats ti
that they have done virtually nothing for years and years.

It’s extremely shocking how little they do, I was completely naive to it until recently and, embarrassingly, assumed their engagements took about as much time as a full time job. When you think of their children being in full time school, and all their staff, what on earth do they do all day?

kirinm · 18/03/2024 08:28

Re the DM, I don't believe for a second some random who saw her decided to 'adhere to her privacy' wish and took no pictures. They were quick to enough to go to a paper.

LadyMuckonpancakes · 18/03/2024 08:43

I assume he’s taking time off because it’s the Easter hols coming up. If Kate is still not 100 percent , he wants to take the strain off her. Presumably they don’t want the nanny managing their children whilst Kate sits on the sidelines on her own. The PR has just been managed so badly it’s laughable.

anonymousamy · 18/03/2024 08:44

Wouldn’t she want to be near the kids school and her parents and sister though? Assuming she’s still ill and not skiving. William called her the Duchess Doolittle but he’s a fine one to talk .

@JANetChick wait - are you saying William called Kate “Duchess Doolittle”? I highly doubt that TBH!

@Marchintospring So ambulance is true then? The palace lied about it being a planned procedure . . . it was an emergency.
It looks like they keep lying to people.

Even if Catherine was rushed to hospital in an ambulance it doesn't mean (and it hasn't been reported) that surgery was performed immediately.

If she went to hospital and surgery took place a day, 2 days, 3 days or a week later then it will have been planned surgery.

It most certainly doesn't mean that we have been lied to.

A relative of mine was blue lighted to hospital, was in resus for hours, was transferred to another hospital where surgery was planned for the following day. It was an emergency but it was still planned surgery.

The Princess, who made her last public engagement at Sandringham on ChristmasDay, is expected to return to public duty after April 17, when her children start back at Lambrook School, near Ascot, following the Easter Holidays.

From the DM article. When they said she’d be returning after Easter, I assumed they meant the Easter weekend, not the end of the school holidays.

Yes, me too and apparently William is also taking more time off to support her and the kids. Obviously he's exhausted from juggling the school run with his arduous schedule of royal events.

mardylookingfrump · 18/03/2024 09:03

I assumed “after Easter” meant “any time after Easter”, and at that point they were hedging their bets and assuming she’d be back out long before that: under promise and over deliver. I think they underestimated the time needed, and should have said June, but they also weren’t anticipating any of this ::gestures at global gossip binfire:: At this point they’re going to need her at 10/10 glamour on Easter Sunday or we’ll hear the internet’s collective cackle from the MOON

MrsWidgerysLodger · 18/03/2024 09:09

So we're meant to believe she shirked her official duties for the St Patrick's celebrations in order to go and do a spot of shopping and not even a blurry picture taken on a mobile phone by the public exists... I'm not one for massive conspiracies, and I do believe that she's been unwell and needed time but what with the fake photo for Mother's Day and now this.... Something isn't right somewhere.

Yep "after Easter" could mean any time after Easter, I admit I was not expecting to see her the day after Bank Holiday Monday.

anonymousamy · 18/03/2024 09:21

I clearly misinterpreted. I did think they would use the Easter Sunday service as her first reappearance.

It's not shirking to go to the shop when you're signed off on long term sick leave. I've gone to Tesco when ill, I've gone for a gentle stroll when getting energy back after a flu etc.

Being off sick from work doesn't mean you are confined to your sofa, especially when it's a long illness and getting out and about is an important part of recovery.

Whether you're a princess or on minimum wage.

I also don't believe that she would be seen shopping so close to her home on a day that should have meant Royal duties. That's ridiculous to suggest that she'd be so disrespectful.

LadyMuckonpancakes · 18/03/2024 09:28

What Royal duties was she doing this time last year out of interest? Was she doing many? Was William?

I went abroad on holiday for 10 days when I was signed off sick last year. Did me the world of good. I even had my annual leave refunded so I could take it at a later date. What a shirker.

Seriously, there's nothing disrespectful about it. No idea if it happened or not, but surely you can see the world of difference between a brief trip to the shops Vs getting dressed up and standing for ages etc at a work thing. Before you even consider the mental difference the physical difference is hard.

This kind of thinking is what leads to the awful threads on here of people judging colleagues off for cancer treatment who post holiday pics on FB.

I absolutely hear what you're saying and I do agree...I just don't think, considering the past few weeks, that KP would make such a big misstep as to risk the backlash. "Couldn't be bothered to do the St Patrick's Day parade but happily bouncing round a Farm Shop, smiling and looking very well and healthy". Yes, I'm exaggerating but it's awful timing if it's true. It just invites more mad mouthing.

Severalwhippets · 18/03/2024 09:37

I have come to the conclusion that Willliam and Kate are trying to force the option of barely working and keep an almost entirely private life with the exception of one of their sickly fake family (photoshopped?) shots and the odd troops of the colour etc. That is all they are interested in. Certainly not public duties or hard work.

We only need to look at that pitiful table of stats to tell us these two have been skivving for years. I actually supported them up to this point, but I will not support a lazy work shy couple that take £86 million from the country and do nothing in return.

mardylookingfrump · 18/03/2024 09:38

Then what’s she supposed to do? Live under house arrest until her next official engagement? It makes perfect sense to start to introduce small outings, test her stamina, put herself in situations where she can go “you know what, this is too much, can we go home?” before she stands on the world stage: she can’t suddenly spring forth at an official event then realise she’s not physically ready.

Perhaps they credit the general public with understanding the difference between work and shopping. Overly generous it turns out, but hey ho.

Or maybe she's been on lots of little trips like this for the past few weeks and this is the first one that's been reported. Or maybe it never happened.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 18/03/2024 09:54

Do people really not understand the difference between a shopping trip, where you are dressed casually, not really bothers how you look like, and that you can break off at any point and go home or just sit in the car, and an official engagement, where you will be photographed, scrutinised and you must smile thought whatever is going on in your body?

Quizine · 18/03/2024 09:58

I firmly believe now that they hold us peasants in utter contempt. They don't care about anything other than themselves. That's fine in theory but in practise it's awful. I want my two quid back now.

But she could at least have sent a brief video message regarding her St Patrick's duties. Besides the press are reporting that

"Kate, 42, reportedly appeared “happy” and “well” as she and the Prince of Wales visited Windsor Farm Shop, which is situated on the Royal Estate and is around a mile from Adelaide Cottage.

She then spent Sunday morning watching her young children playing sports"

So it wasn't just a brief jaunt to the shops, she then spent that morning watching the kids whilst out and about. A brief 1 minute video clip of her well wishes would have gone MILES to restoring public good favour at this point.

I still don't believe not a single person got a photo of her either... Not even a burry mobile phone snap. Given the furore about her not being seen it's inconceivable that someone wouldn't have taken a sneaky snap and posted it on social media.

At best this is an example of her doing the barest minimum of fuck all regarding royal duties with a massive PR misstep again. At worst it's more lies from "sources".

Note that all the sources in the article are unnamed. Not one person who could be tracked down to verify the supposed shopping trip.

Why can't she work via zoom? Just a short meeting to support a favourite charity? She could have her pyjama bottoms on and no one would know. And as if she doesn't get dressed up to go the shop knowing there is every chance there will be a photo.
