Spanish press reporting Kate was extremely ill

I don’t know how credible this is because I saw it on Twitter…

But apparently the media in Spain have reported that Catherine’s surgery was not actually planned, did not go smoothly and she was actually very sick/possibly in a coma for a period of time. And there has been a press blackout in the UK.

Could there be any truth in this? I’m struggling to see WHY something like that would be ‘hidden’ anyway 🤔

Private Eye is saying that a 'closed circle' within KP knows what's going on but 'Buck House' (as they call it) don't and are ticked off at William's hamfisted attempts to manage the situation.

The Eye, impeccably well-sourced, says that outside of this 'closed circle', no one has even SEEN Kate since she left hospital. By implication not Charles, not anyone. That is genuinely worrying.

I hadn't heard about the cars crashing into Buck House/Windsor Castle, @fairydust11 ... looking on the bright side at least it wasn't Andrew this time, thwarted by a closed gate

There is a very good feature in today's Times about how this interest in Catherine is bordering on bullying.

Just leave her alone - unless you want to contribute to her mental health demise.

It's really going too far and i wish @MNHQ would shut these posts down.

They have the responsibility to condition young minds to treat the RF with deference and believe what ever they say without question.

Ahh I get you now. I inferred the divergence was between KP London (which houses Gloucester and Kent as well as the Wales) and the Wales’ private staff - which as they’re currently based Suffolk - perhaps going awol.

Buck House v KP makes more sense, but I’m surprised the greater RF staff at KP have been this naive.

Why shouldn't she have an extended recovery period just because others are not in a position to do so? She is, and is taking advantage of it - most of us would.

Different people have different recovery times. For all we know there may have been complications with the Princess' surgery, or she may have developed an infection - we don't even know what surgery she ha because IT'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS!

I also doubt that your good friend had the world's press monitoring her every breath and expecting her to look amazing 24/7, and would speculate wildly if she didn't.

Nor will she have been under the sort of mental stress that comes with a family member slagging you off in the world's news and you can't respond. Stress affects your immune system and means that recovery times from illness and injury are greatly extended.

Have friends and family in Europe and this has been reported too right from the beginning, interesting isn't it?

The Spanish press have been reporting this for weeks, it’s not new “news”

It was even commented on by the Palace weeks ago that it was all nonsense

Apparently the “source” is their Spanish nanny which it is very unlikely as she has been with them for a long time. Even if it was her she would have been let go in January when they started reporting it if any of it was true and considering she was seen with the children recently it’s unlikely to have happened

She's obviously had quite major surgery and doesn't want her appearance picked apart by everyone.

No one can say how long recovery is, as even with people having the same surgery it can vary wildly. For example, I've had 4 c-sections. Recovery for me has been between 3 weeks and 3 months! Say I took my best recovery time and told all women over that to stop moaning and get on with life, get back to normal. Horrible.

Also your cousin's aunt's best mates dog may have had the same surgery and gone back to work after 3 hours, but I bet their every move wasn't been judged by the world, and they weren't expected to give their intimate medical history to everyone.

A woman said it on a programme at the beginning of February something like she was on induced coma for a little while during or after the operation and all blow up like nonsensical whispering between borders. That was closed by the palace statement they made public at the beginning of February too.

Some programmes love a drama and they don't know in which direction the wind blows.

Her reputation now is quite damaged although she still claims that her sources are legit.
