Spanish press reporting Kate was extremely ill

I don’t know how credible this is because I saw it on Twitter…

But apparently the media in Spain have reported that Catherine’s surgery was not actually planned, did not go smoothly and she was actually very sick/possibly in a coma for a period of time. And there has been a press blackout in the UK.

Could there be any truth in this? I’m struggling to see WHY something like that would be ‘hidden’ anyway 🤔

Na, I don't think so, talking about mental health and PTSD and then stabbing your family in the back isn't good role modelling, it's the worst. My theory is that the constant Sussex assault on Kate has put her under massive stress. I feel incredibly sorry for her.

@ShepherdMoons the concept of 'planned' surgery has been explained and explained. Planned means not emergency. The decision for 'planned' surgery could take place 24hrs before surgery happens - its still planned rather than emergency. Hence no issue with diary engagements.

If she was dead would her mother and sister be driving around to be papped?

Lots of people I know weren’t really even aware of all the conspiracy/wheres Kate stuff that was largely confined to certain corners of Twitter, but after this photo absolutely everyone seems to be talking about it.

I think it’s been since covid, not just the last few weeks. A lot of people went a bit mad during lockdown and never recovered.

She is not dead. The Royal Family would not pretend she was alive.

Sure, just like Prince Philip conveniently died the week before covid restrictions were lifted so they were able to have a funeral with people there.

Private Eye didn't say Buckingham Palace don't know what's going on with Catherine's health, they were talking about, and I quote how

"Just as Brian infuriated Flunkey by running his own court with very little interaction with Buckingham Palace, so William is doing now"

This bit was about the release of the photograph and goes it overshadowed commonwealth day with all the fuss.

Then they mentioned Catherine health at the bottom "no one except a close circle has seen Kate since she left hospital" it doesn't say no one at three palace knows anything but that they haven't seen her

Given how the details haven't leaked I think that is a wise decision.

If you must go down the conspiracy route, wouldn’t it make more sense that the restrictions were lifted at that point so there could be people at his funeral rather than them pretending he was alive for longer than he was?

I think W&K probably thought it might to be a good idea to put up a pic as proof of life just to shut down the ridiculous rumours and speculation that Kate is dead or clinging to life in intensive care despite having made it clear Kate would be out of action until Easter. There were even threads on here titled ‘Where’s Kate?’

Imagine being off sick from work and your colleagues wanted you to publicly explain all the intimate details of why, why weren’t you back despite you already telling them when you would be, demanding you to show yourself in public so they could see you weren’t dead and starting rumours and gossip that you were!

Kate may well not look her best and have some swelling which they knew damn well she’d be bitterly castigated and mocked for despite having been unwell. That image would also be around for eternity. So they put up a photoshopped pic. It speaks volumes that a pic of her facing away was published the next day due to the furore, just again to reiterate that she’s still with us and there’s no conspiracy.

Why on earth would William hide the fact that his wife is still seriously ill in hospital or dead anyway? She’s not the heir to the throne so really not important enough in succession to hide that for nefarious reasons. There would be an outpouring of very positive sympathy for William and their children if that was the case anyway.

She just didn’t want to be photographed until she’d recovered enough to be and why shouldn’t she have that privacy? She also very likely doesn’t want people picking over details of a medical procedure on her private parts such as sexual organs, womb or bowels with all the mockery and memes that would create that her children would see for evermore.

Would anyone else, as a massive public figure, want intimate details of medical procedures they’d had to undergo especially bowel issues, all over the media. I certainly wouldn’t!

I honestly don’t think she will be back at Easter. I think it could be the summer. I really don’t think she will be doing engagements or popping to church in a fortnight. If she was going to be back in two weeks then they’d just issue a real snap or short video or actually see her face in a car and put this to bed. All this subterfuge will be for a reason, and I cannot see how she’s going to be up and about doing engagements in a fortnight.

She’s clearly not dead. I can’t imagine how deranged you’d need to be to think that, if she had passed away they would say that and crack on with a funeral. Not spend months pretending she was alive. The Idea is ludicrous.

Agree, even my husband who gives not a shit about anything remotely royal , and seems to simply be interested in work and golf. Asked what what was going on with her.

if they’d done nothing, and continued with after Easter the usual nut jobs would have been continuing with the wild theories but it would have been stable otherwise.

now the world is asking where the hell is Kate, why hasn’t anyone seen her and why are they putting out fake photos.

Spain has hours and hours of prime TV devoted to gossip. They have “royalty experts” that make the most ridiculous mistakes all the time. The gossip about the coronation was pathetic.

Before Kate, their preferred target was Frederick of Denmark. Anyone but their own King and Queen is a valid target for ignorant debate.
