The royal family

Do the Royal Family just think we are really really stupid?

Just that really. From Harry’s car chase to Prince Andrew being at a Pizza Express kid’s party.

And now we’re supposed to believe that the country’s biggest PR machine in the middle of a media storm just let Prince William take a casual Mothers Day pic on his iPhone, let the missus edit it and then post it to the world?

😒

Ok, here appear to be the original photos of yesterday’s car appearance, so it looks like I was wrong about it being faked 🙋🏻

No it’s clearly not fake, but she’s doing her level best to stare at rhe wall and clearly doesn’t wish her face photographed.

BenefitWaffle · 12/03/2024 14:00

Which just raises the question of why.

Because she’s not that bothered about what a bunch of strangers think about a nice picture she tarted up a bit and perhaps has more important things to think about?

Which just raises the question of why.

Because there wasn't supposed to be a photographer there maybe? It wasn't an official engagement it was a private journey, so why should she 'pose' for the camera.

BenefitWaffle · 12/03/2024 14:05

This is not coincidental. For two and a half months there have been no photos and suddenly after the photo debacle she gets papped??

If she's not bothered about what people think why put an altered image out in the first place and then why appear soon afterwards with her face turned from the cameras. It's obviously going to cause interest even among those who previously hadn't given much thought to wondering what has happened. It doesn't seem likely she will be working by the end of the month if she can't face being photographed two months after the operation.

my thoughts exactly. She is looking away, but they have ensured she isn't travelling in a car with tinted back windows and her hair is pulled back so we can see her face shape. They/she wanted enough of her to be seen to prove it was her, while still hiding her face.

I’m finding the whole thing so odd. On 28 dec at about 6.30 pm there was a blue light convoy from sandringham to what looked like king Edward v11 hospital. Kate and William would have been at sandringham. What you can’t see in the link below is there was also an ambulance.

so who was blue lighted? Charles, Kate, someone else?

is it possible Kate was actually hospitalised on the 28th and they didn’t announce till 16 Jan, till they were sure of the situation? And she was actually in hospital for close to a month?

Edited

This Twitter post has been debunked as nonsense.

Firstly there was no ambulance in the convoy of cars so could be any VIP level person - politician etc just being escorted through the city.

Secondly - the only place this video turns up is on that one random person’s Twitter and there is no verification that it’s even from the time or date he says it’s from. and check out his profile if you need any further convincing that he’s likely making it all up.

Thirdly - the cars are heading one direction in London and the unknown destination could be anywhere no evidence that convoy went any where near a hospital

And finally - ‘seen coming from Sandringham’ - you know Sandringham is in Norfolk? They wouldn’t rush an ill royal by car to a London hospital from Norfolk - they’d either go to a closer emergency center or helicopter them there.

It’s this kind of conspiracy nonsense that is making this whole situation about Kate’s operation and recovery so ridiculous.

Of course she was planning to be photographed. Why else would she be in the same car as William who was off to an official engagement?

@wordler Private Eye said some time ago that Kate was hospitalised at the end of December.

@wordler Private Eye said some time ago that Kate was hospitalised at the end of December.

Very possible but she wasn’t blue lit in an ambulance convoy going from Sandringham to London, and she wasn’t in an ambulance in that bit of video footage because there wasn’t an ambulance in it and there’s no proof those cars went anywhere near a hospital.

But people keep sharing that tweet as some sort of proof that something shady is going on.

Soowoo · 12/03/2024 14:20

I dare say some of the royal family do think we’re stupid, but it is possible this photograph was taken by William then touched up on photoshop by Kate. That would explain why it was done so badly. However, it does smack of arrogance for Kate to assume she can edit her own pictures and that the world won’t notice. It does matter, because we need to be able to trust our royal family, and this proves that the perfect image Kate and William present is, at least sometimes, artificial and contrived. Having said which, I do feel sorry for Kate, she is in a very difficult position, and I think it is a shame that she feels under so much pressure to look perfect. Personally, I would prefer to see the children with realistically muddy knees and crumbs on their cardigans. I also think it’s important for a princess, who we are asked to admire, and curtsy to, to have a healthy body weight - if at all possible. I would be surprised if they would outright lie about the abdominal operation, so I do believe she has had an operation of some sort, but I suspect the extended recovery time is also due to a secondary reason; probably an eating disorder, and possibly marital problems, which they are taking time to try and sort out. Of course, I hope this is not the case. Whatever’s going on, the whole situation has been bungled badly by their advisers and they are definitely hiding something.

BenefitWaffle · 12/03/2024 14:24

@Soowoo I would wipe mud off my children's knees and brush crumbs from their cardigans if I was taking a photo to be shared with wider family. It is not hard to do.

Fair enough. Why do you think the photo was edited? Am I missing something?

amberedover1 · 12/03/2024 14:36

democracy lost its value long ago. Most head of states in republican countries are politically chosen by parties or by the biggest millionaires contributing money to a person expecting serious benefits after being elected.

that's a very good point @Alondra
I'll have to have a think about what role the RF might have though

amberedover1 · 12/03/2024 14:37

I think Kate was bullied into a public appearance in the car and that she controlled her exposure by turning away .

LittleGlowingOblong · 12/03/2024 14:38

@wordler actually I think that December tweet was legit. The person who took the video just didn’t manage to catch the ambulance in the clip because it was happening so fast.

That distinctive white strip down the front of the car marks it out as belonging to the RF.

The tweet is dated and time stamped, and the video reportedly taken very near the London Clinic.

I don’t agree that all Brits are nasty. I have many friends and colleagues that I see regularly and can honestly say this subject regarding RF has never been talked about. I think that people IRL didn’t give it any headspace until the media started stirring ! Absolutely bloody awful carry on .
Hope KP now just closes all communication with the media ,untilCatherine is well enough to deal with all those awful people.

Honestly the word "nasty" is used on here so often by royalists against anyone questioning or criticising our overlords, it's almost honorific.

It's also a favourite of Trump, always calling female opposition/his victims "nasty women ".

I think we're supposed to be so upset by it, we stop speaking out.

I would save that word for the looters, sex offenders and animal abusers of Buck House myself, but I suppose that goes against British values or something. Oops.

As you say, No matter what it is the public will relate to it and have symapathy

Whether she is -

Seriously physically ill
Lost a child
Had a major operation of any sensitive area
Suffering from depression or any mental health condition that would stop her from going outdoors
Trying to stop dodgy photos/videos being released

Thousands of British people will have been through the same.

Only an absolute nutcase would think the RF are above having serious physical and mental health issues or any day to day stuff.

We've gone way past the era when the wellbeing and security of the country was dependent on the health of the royals .

I'm not sure what they are playing at here.

aliceinthecities · 12/03/2024 14:48

@Ihearditfrommyradio But if you think about it, many of those things would still carry a stigma. For instance, revealing a mental health condition would forever label her and, I can imagine, for the wide "gracious" British public would not be compatible with the future queen. And it is worse if mental health condition is related to William or anything he is doing/done. Basically, the current shenanigans are so absurd that it makes you think along those lines

I am now beginning to believe that the marriage is effectively over .
Divorce doesn’t appear to be an option at the moment because the optics would not look good.
