Kate and William don't need to raise their profile. I doubt there's many people on this planet who don't know who they are.

It's terrible publicity for them. There are plenty of people who are neither ardent royalists nor staunch republicans, who don't mind the younger royals, that will now be questioning their integrity.

There have been discussions in the past about the possible photoshopping of a number of released pictures from various Royals. It's quite likely that they do use a kind of "best shot" for groups (and would be far from alone in that)

I posted thread about the Danish royal family flat out lifting the images of the King’s young twins from opposite ends of a family birthday portrait, stitching them side by side and re-releasing it as a new image on their own 13th birthday. People noticed. Zero controversy….

Not when people think the palace / the RF lie to the public. Harry has been called a liar based on things KP 'sources' have claimed. What if it turns out that KP is a bit loose with the truth?

I know v little about the royals but I do gather that William is notoriously ‘MY way’… can’t be easy for his staff to get him to take advice, I would think?

I felt sorry for her after every picture taken 5 hours after labour…her hair and make up was immaculate every time. What woman would choose to get a blow dry straight after giving birth?

I live in NYC. I don't know a single person who thinks Harry's car chase story is real. After that incident, I am inclined to take anything Harry says with a grain of salt. Don't even get me started on the whole Dec. 6th letter for his RAVAC hearing. The last time he was in NYC we allegedly had to provide 2 police cars for him and his 5 car entourage to drive 200 yards.We actually have serious crime in this city and the police have better things to do.

Why do you automatically assume this to be true ? Have you not learned a thing? Just because media says a statement has been realised by Kate doesn't mean its true. I don't think she has anything to do with the picture and didn't edit it.

I wouldn't for a second believe that the royals post their own content on social media or indeed edit pictures. This reminds me most of that historian Orlando Figes who posted spiteful reviews of other historians' books and then his wife put out a statement she had done it before him finally admitting he did.
