Imagine using the victims of a school shooting for attention and PR. There seem to be no depths to which this pair will not sink

I had a long discussion with DH yesterday about American Riviera orchard . Today I asked him if he could remember the name. He couldn't. 'Is it Pacific something orchard'? It really doesn't flow as a name.

MrsFinkelstein · 17/03/2024 09:35

I told my husband about it yesterday - he wishes them well.

We felt the name was giving "Prestige Worldwide" vibes, and she really missed an opportunity with the video launch.

Too funny 😂

LoreleiG · 17/03/2024 11:23

Sad the other thread was taken down, I was enjoying the jam jokes.

To me the name has run down holiday park vibes.

Runnerinthenight · 18/03/2024 00:10

There needs to be a lot more threads taken down! I'm amazed daily at what is allowed to stand!

ShamedBySiri · 18/03/2024 06:43

Looks like someone took advantage of Meghan's advance launch with no products to make their own website to sell stuff.
Quite inventive, I think theirs has class!

That’s exactly why you wouldn’t usually launch until you have a trademark granted, so you can instantly stop that kind of action, ShamedbySiri.

Given there’s been no further activity by the site, you have to wonder why the rush to launch it on that particular date, before the basics behind the scene were in place?

Surprised to see this article in Vogue which is not the kind of PR I would want.

What a shame that the ARO merch won’t include precious-metal-table-place-card-holders!

pubblehopper · 18/03/2024 10:02

@AliceOlive I would like to read that, but it's behind a paywall.

I’m surprised as I thought WME had them on speed dial and they had been relatively complimentary.

Quite

I've not commented on the website because frankly there's little to comment on, but it'll be interesting to see what happens when it's developed and whether there'll be enough avid fans to make it a financial success

pubblehopper · 18/03/2024 12:13

@TakemetoMandalay thank you, plenty of ridicule in that snippet.

pubblehopper · 18/03/2024 12:15

I saw the name of the company who owns 'Pink Red Orchard' or whatever it's called, is Mama Knows Best. Apparently Martha Stewart used to have a TV show called Martha Knows Best, is there anything original about their endeavours?

AliceOlive · 18/03/2024 12:17

It begins:

”Nine Instagram tiles. One “T-shirt you should have thrown away but are, instead, wearing as a pajama top”-colored background. Four words in gilded italics. American. Riviera. Orchard. Montecito. What do they mean? It’s a mystery. But that’s how Meghan, Duchess of Sussex launched her new lifestyle brand on Thursday, which, as I imagine you’ve worked out by now, is called American Riviera Orchard…”

LadyMuckonpancakes · 18/03/2024 12:17

That article makes interesting reading.
