Indeed . Given Meghan’s ( supposedly) heartfelt plea for women to be nice to other women , it would have been a few brownie points for her to wish Catherine well.

It’s very telling that they never come out and say ‘he’s nothing to do with us , he doesn’t speak for us’ .

I have had the name Roussette for I think 10 years now. I had one other name prior to that and only changed it when I had a real life legal case going on and I had to exercise caution.

I think using the word "dear" is cultural isn't it? I know certain cultures use it a great deal.

They’d go up in my estimation if they did call him out directly and properly. It’s a shame they try and insidiously tear others downs. It’s the covert nature of it that gets people’s back up. I think he’s manipulated them a lot, but because clearly lays it on thick massaging their egos (just seen how he speaks about them in any of his publications) they end up falling for it.

I think a lot of people would think it was decent, but my point is, THEY clearly didn't think it was the decent thing to do, because if they had, they wouldn't have cared what others said about passing on well wishes.

The other possible reason for not adding to their statement, could be they didn't want any backlash from their own fans, the ones who believe in all the conspiracies and don't care that Catherine has been very ill.

It's what we've said before, being associated with the SS and Scobie is the worst thing they could have done if they wanted to improve their PR. It was a very shortsighted move and probably fuelled by spite.

Not going to be easy to shake those associations off in a hurry
