The press has published pics of HRH with her mum in mum Audi on a
"school run." HRH was seated in the front passenger seat.

Wishing HRS Kate a speedy recovery!!

I love that this thread has become so beyond batshit, you felt the need to clarify that “Kate obv” is the kids’ mum. I don’t think we’ve had the fake-baby-bump conspiracy theory yet – perhaps the abdominal surgery was to splice on some stretch marks after questions were asked by a super stomach recogniser.

😂😂😂

I mean all the things which have been said. I’m not repeating them here. A lot of info has been triangulated. It’s available for anyone interested.

Do you mean things said in Closer or Take a Break? Or some of the absolute batshit rubbish in the ‘foreign press’? Do you really think all the absolute twaddle they write is true?
Also why are there so many people absolutely desperate to believe the Wales’ marriage is on the rocks? It doesn’t suggest those people are very happy themselves .

Quizine · 06/03/2024 17:28

I just want to know if they have joint or separate finances. All marriages according to MN should have joint money and everything goes in there. Just wondered.....😊

Well, I know I will probably be castigated for speculating again, but if the kids can't spend Christmas with their mum (Kate obv) then that is a bad bad reason for staying together if things are not working out.

I repeat, I am just musing here.

I mean yes, just musing too, but why would you divorce if you were in Kates position? She could do a Princes Charlene of Monaco and get a load of money to turn up to engagements. What else would she do as a divorcee? She may as well stay. They have 4 houses. She could stay in one of them and William in another one. Its hardly as if they would have to see each other even at Christmas. Walk to church in the morning with the kids, swap the kids, in the afternoon or morning bingo. Job done.

I think she's had some kind of bowel surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if she has crohns as she is thin.
She might be having to get to grips with managing a stoma and maybe she is currently on steroids.
I really hope this is not the case, however it could be likely.

Not everyone that has Crohns is thin.
Stoma + steroids isn't a usual combination.

ToffeeTalk · 06/03/2024 16:45

No I agree. I heard that there was a minor procedure and that now it’s being used to give Kate time to reconsider.

Having seen the photo, not sure.

You heard? I think you need to widen your circle and expand your mind. Maybe sitting on MN all day bashing out scurrilous gossip about people you don’t know is stunting your intellect in some way? Whatever, you clearly have a very different idea about what constitutes information than the normal understanding.

Pushtart · 06/03/2024 17:54

I agree there is too much ugly discussion about what kind of health problem a woman has, regardless of her role I think it's going too far. However speculation about marriage or other things, the poor job KP are doing around this etc is fair enough given Harry and Meghan's marriage and everything they do is also discussed here and elsewhere online. A lot of us will think it's wrong to do to both couples, but some are being hypocritical about this. I have tried not to engage with anyone questioning exact details of Charles and Kate's health matters, because you're adding to the conversation and it doesn't stop anyone. I was embarrassed to see my own mother write something rather unpleasant about Charles online! I was and still am mortified by it. Someones health, including mental health, is not something to speculate or gloat about IMO. But hey... this is a discussion forum, not my call is it...

Oh thank God! I'm so relieved...I feel like I've been holding my breath since Christmas Day.

Tonight will be the first decent nights sleep I've had in weeks.

Wut.

This is ridiculous. It’s like you don’t know what else is in the abdomen. It’s only as likely as kidney or liver or anything else, simply as it’s in her abdomen.😂

StrawberryJellyBelly · 06/03/2024 18:07

PurplePansy05 · 06/03/2024 16:35

My theory and I stress that as pure theory!!

Is that it's possible she had some kind of a transplant - it can be an abdominal surgery, long recovery, immunosupressants that would stop the travels and potentially make her look poorly, no definitive date when she will return etc. I think this makes sense and technically, what KP said about the surgery and recovery is true but without revealing the details. The sudden surgery and informing about it after the event also ties in. Maybe a donor was found just then.

I obviously don't know but that's what it looks like to me.

Who knows why they're keeping it private, maybe concerns about rejection, maybe they didn't want the children to worry, maybe it comes with a risk of reduced life expectancy. Maybe they didn't want speculation if she was bumped up the list, who knows.

This might well not be the case, I simply think it all points towards it tbh. I wish her a good, strong recovery after what was clearly a major health issue and surgery.

I think you could be correct.

I have never heard of Closer or Take a Break and certainly never read or listened to either. I don't read any magazines at all, even when having my hair cut.

My intellect is just fine cheers. Also, I never sit and MN, I dip in and out as I'm doing other things/ on the go. It's only ever secondary, however much you like to try to do people down by suggesting they are on MN constantly. I think that particular prize on these threads goes to others :) I'm never on for a sustained period of time, except possibly if I'm travelling on public transport as I quite often have to do.

I've had same operation she's had.. very painful.. long time to recover.. and could easily be life threatening.

We don't know what operation she's had

I hate to burst your bubble, but they only perform kidney transplants (from living donors) at the London Clinic, where Kate was hospitalised.

PurplePansy05 · 06/03/2024 18:33

You don't need to burst my bubble, kidney transplant is done via abdomen.

All the mystery surrounding Kate and when she will be seen at her first engagement is just one big circus. This is mainly due to how badly the whole situation has been handled. Before any of the pro royals start spouting on about her right to privacy they are no normal family. They are tax payer funded whether that costs each person £1.00+ makes no difference. They can't pick and choose when they want to be seen and when they don't. The whole situation has arisen because she doesn't want to be seen in public until she is looking oh so perfect. What kind of message is that sending to her own daughter or young girls all around the country that a woman has to be picture perfect before she can be seen out and that makes no difference just because she is in the public eye. The whole debacle is just another nail in the coffin of the royal family showing that they are entitled white privileged people who have no idea what goes on in the real world.

This in spades. It makes having surgery or being ill or disabled something to be ashamed of. Like the queen refused to be seen in a wheelchair so wasn’t seen at all. They can have so many expensive or a custom made wheelchair, she’s not going to be in a shit clunky NHS granny wheelchair.

Serenster · 06/03/2024 18:39

Sorry, PuplePansy05, you spoke about transplants generally. If had you specifically meant kidney transplants only, presumably you would have said that? Also, you wouldn’t find a living kidney donor “just then” for “sudden” surgery as you write. That suggests you had a cadaver donor in mind. Which they definitely don’t do at that hospital.

43ontherocksporfavor · 06/03/2024 18:43

She looked the picture of health in November and December. Biking against William etc, hardly looking and acting like someone very ill.

PurplePansy05 · 06/03/2024 18:44

I don't know @Serenster, tbh I thought perhaps a kidney or liver transplant but like I said, that's a pure guess just through joining various dots - I obviously might be wrong.

I didn't go as far as checking that particular hospital tbh. As it's a private clinic though, they can rent out facilities if required, so I'm not sure if that's necessarily an indicator.

I think it's clear she's not been well and was probably masking it for some time, then had a big surgery, all of which is exhausting. I hope she gets better soon.

smilesy · 06/03/2024 18:47

Bit convoluted though. Wouldn’t they have chosen a different clinic? I think you are barking up the wrong tree here 🤷‍♀️

ArcaneWireless · 06/03/2024 19:06

My dad is very grateful for his shit clunky NHS wheelchair (which is fuckall of the sort by the way).

Beats lying in his bed all day given he can’t walk anymore.
