I just can’t believe it. The concerted campaign to drive Kate stark raving mad if she’s aware of all this, including the MN bilge. It’s all so thoroughly nasty, yet if anyone was said about Meghan there were deletions galore, threads pulled and of course the usual screaming about “isms”.

Yes, @MaturingCheeseball there’s a clear double standard. I’m still really disturbed about what I read on the early threads on Catherine’s illness, and to even express that discomfort seems to be a violation, but a similar comment would be allowed to stand when speaking about Meghan threads (a lot of which are goady and vile). I’m a person of colour, and the double standards based on race make zero sense to me - it’s patronising and frankly makes me sick to the stomach for the royal women who aren’t protected from it. And I am sorry to say it, but I am suspicious of the division being sown and the motive for it. Because it’s certainly not to raise up the women in the crossfire.

After the last 24/48 it’s clear they have gone for broke on KM and shown their true colours, there isn’t anywhere they can really go from here without looking like complete hypocrites.

It’s been quite an eye opener to see on MN how many masks have slipped over the last couple of days. Those who until recently have been very vocal on ‘anti bullying’, ‘supporting all women’ have proven themselves to be anything but.

Reading things have made me feel sick lately!

I'd say it's mostly women who end up being the family photographers and trying to herd the cats children into getting that one, decent shot. If she were to release the pre touched pics, I think all she'd garner would be a lot of compassionate humour from women who understand, and the press and the critics would look like the nobs that they are.

The thing about the media outlets wanting to see the original photo that some people are missing is that there’s no way they won’t publish it and then it hangs around forever. They won’t want a photo where one of the kids is inadvertently making rude hand gesture or you can see that Charlotte chews her sleeves or Louis blew his nose on his jumper or anything that’s even just a bit silly because it’ll come up again. And again. And again. And again. Forever.

I’d be sorely tempted to give them a heavily edited one where all of the kids and I have lizard heads.

Or

Call my sister and get a few similar sized children together, put them in the same clothes and poses, the and take a totally new photo then gives give that to them.

This is why I can’t be in the public eye.

As has been said before, a woman posts an amateur photo on their own instagram account which is lifted by the world to be mocked and ridiculed. Kate has never claimed to be a professional photographer, she did a course but then I did a 2-day course in marine biology and I’m buggered if I can remember any of it other than sharks have two willies (one to use and one to hold on with).

The media frenzy has been out of control and I feel for the poor woman.

I actually feel grubby after having engaged in some of the batshittery today but sometimes, just sometimes, the sanctimonious hypocrisy of some is enough to get you going!

I very much doubt the reputation of the RF has been damaged by this nonsense, but the reputation of certain individuals definitely has..
