Harry “is willing to return to a temporary royal role in support of his father during his illness, sources have revealed. In an attempt to help heal the rift in the family, the King and Prince Harry are said to have had several “warm exchanges” since Charles received his cancer diagnosis.
The duke is now understood to have told friends that he would step into a royal role while his father is unwell.”

The palace hasn’t issued a new announcement, it’s just the media use the terms interchangeably.

i also think she will be back after Easter, she needs to be not sore, able to dress as she normally does (ie nothing rubbing on a scar) doing her work is very time consuming, pre briefing, hair, make up, clothes, travel, and she will be utterly scrutinised when she appears, with Saddos trying to identify what she had done. So she needs to be 100 percent back to normal.

people will be looking at her face, does she appear uncomfortable , her body, has she gained or lost weight, how she dresses, is it the same or different, does her style of clothing give anything away, how she moves, what shoes she’s wearing. It would be unbearable for most.

personally my opinion is she needs to stay out of the public gaze till she’s back to normal, as the attention is going to be enormous.

Absolutely.

They must be a different breed entirely. When the family's dirty linen has been aired on a global stage. Some of the worst possible allegations (racism) left hanging over the whole family's heads. How he can think there would be any coming back from that is completely beyond me. The only thing I can possibly think is desperation £$$$££ ???

Devastatedandblindsided · 20/02/2024 19:37

He appears to have no normal feelings at all. Guilt, grief, remorse, family loyalty. A sense of what’s appropriate. It’s quite extraordinary. He has no relationship with his nephews and his niece. His children don’t know any of his family. His father in law has never met his grandson. It’s absolutely tragic. Yet all he can think about his own self aggrandisement. At any cost.

I don't think he would have done three months ago but those megabuck deals drying up coinciding with two health blows in the family mean he's scented an opportunity like a shark scenting chum.

Won't get him anywhere but he's got nothing to lose by throwing the dice.

wildernesssw · 20/02/2024 20:51

I can only assume that he doesn't realise that the rest of his family have feelings that are as valid as his own. It is all about him. Understandable in children. But at 40?

Vespanest · 20/02/2024 22:03

If Harry found sausages and bedrooms difficult it would be extremely hard to accept his new child and future children are Beatrice and Eugenie of the family and not the William and Harry. Harry nor Meghan had much time to adjust to such big changes. I have sympathy as that must be a bitter pill to swallow but it dries up as its just awful that it ended up being played out internationally.

Sounds like main character syndrome

I think this shows how much the monarch needs Kate.
I hope she’s ok. Haven’t heard anything new on her except return to work except press stories that mentioned she’d be back ‘by Easter’ became ‘at Easter and is now ‘after Easter.’

Easter is a moveable feast. It's very early this year. What might have been 'by Easter' or 'at Easter' in one year could be 'three weeks after Easter' another year.

Lampslights · 20/02/2024 22:36

Who cares if it’s by Easter, after Easter, or 3 weeks later, she will resume work when she’s ready, the world won’t stop operating, she’s not the pm. It makes absolutely no difference if it is Easter or 3 weeks later.

The Times prints a story that says that Harry has offered to come back and help?

The same Times newspaper that is part of the Murdochs’ news empire that Harry is currently suing?

“Rupert Murdoch
1981 to present – News UK(formerly News International, a wholly owned subsidiary of News Corp, run by Rupert Murdoch)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org › wiki
The Times - Wikipedia”

GlorianaCervixia · 21/02/2024 05:36

The same Times newspaper that correctly reported palace staff had made bullying complaints against Meghan, yes.

LittleTeawithmilk1 · 21/02/2024 07:08

Yes, it is the same newspaper. Reporting on allegations. Something the Palace did not seem to know anything about until the Times article was published.

It said in a statement that the palace human resources team “will look into the circumstances outlined in the article” and would seek to speak to current and former staff.

The above from The Press Democrat March 3 , 2021.

As far as I am aware, the palace has not released the findings of their investigation into bullying. It’s seems to have been left unresolved. Which is unfair to both the people who made the allegations and to Meghan. Or has it been resolved and I am not aware of it?

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 21/02/2024 08:20

I'm not sure I follow the logic here.

Because it's the 'Murdoch press' they've got to be lying?
Because PH is suing them they're taking revenge and trying to discredit him?
Because PH is suing them that means they lie about him now and have lied about him in the past and we shouldn't believe anything they say?
Because PH is suing them automatically means he's got a case and the Times are in the wrong whatever they say about him?

I'm not sure I'd disbelieve the Times just because PH is suing them, given that there doesn't seem to be a major press outlet he isn't suing for something or other.

As far as I recall , there was an investigation and the late Queen decided that the results should not be released .
The cynic in me thinks that had Meghan been cleared , she and Harry would have insisted it was published or the findings leaked . As nothing has - so far- emerged o think it is reasonable to be assume that there were grounds to at least some of the accusations.

Devastatedandblindsided · 21/02/2024 09:05

I would really like to know who conducted that inquiry. It should have been an independent organisation.

It was a law firm but can’t remember the name .

According to that BBC article, it was an outside legal team.

Or at the very least Scobie (H&M) would have been leaking it, it would certainly have been in that last book if it had exonerated them.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 21/02/2024 09:12

The individuals involved on the employee side are private individuals, and probably don't want their names out there when they are continuing in their careers, for the SS to dox and harass them, and for future employers to give them a swerve to avoid trouble.

Mylovelygreendress · 21/02/2024 09:14

It has been claimed that the staff members who said they had been bullied formed a Sussex Survivors Club .

LipstickLil · 21/02/2024 09:32

Rather than the crown’s lion and unicorn, however, the Sussex coat of arms depicts a lion (symbolizing Harry) and a large white songbird being choked by a crown (Meghan??) on either side of a shield.

😂😂😂

Portakalkedi · 21/02/2024 09:52

Why doesn't this obnoxious self obsessed twat just go away? Most of us would be glad to live in relative obscurity with the millions we had inherited, and have a quiet life with our family. I know he's supposed to be a bit thick, but can he really be so unaware of what he's done (and his wife of course) and think his family will just forget it? The pair of them should be mortified with shame at their behaviour.

ajandjjmum · 21/02/2024 09:58

I agree with previous posters - had Meghan been cleared we'd all know about it.
