Harry “is willing to return to a temporary royal role in support of his father during his illness, sources have revealed. In an attempt to help heal the rift in the family, the King and Prince Harry are said to have had several “warm exchanges” since Charles received his cancer diagnosis.
The duke is now understood to have told friends that he would step into a royal role while his father is unwell.”

now the common wealth of nations which consist of the nations who were part of the British empire.

Gabon and Togo were never part of the British empire

I was talking about their history not about today.

Is that it

An interrogative has a question mark, as well. Like this. ?

Gabon and Togo were never part of the British empire

That was the original premise but it's been expanded to anyone who wants to join who fits the criteria.

You literally said “now the common wealth of nations which consist of the nations who were part of the British empire.”

I know. The poster said “now the common wealth of nations which consist of the nations who were part of the British empire” which is incorrect as it’s more than that now

Devastatedandblindsided · 18/02/2024 19:43

She sounds as confused as Meghan about British history.

Notchangingnameagain · 18/02/2024 19:45

No thank you.

Why wouldn’t Meghan be confused about British history. When I did my citizenship test my own British husband admitted that he would have failed.

And what about the history of the commonwealth and why it was established.

He can reconcile with his father without doing anything else. That should be his most important task. I don’t think it’s the right time for anything else yet, as it’s all still a bit raw for the other family members, but I hope he makes peace with his father

Well he probably will,eventually.. I wonder if Meghan will reconcile with her Father. But he's not a King. I wonder if that makes a difference.

How do so many people ‘Know’ Prince Harry is lying??

I didnt realise all of mumsnet were royalty themselves and had actually been present through Harry’s years of growing up and listened with their own ears to every conversation

GlorianaCervixia · 18/02/2024 20:22

Harry said in an interview that he didn't get his suicidal wife any help because he was "ashamed". In his book he says he was more concerned about getting to a function on time. That, to me, is worse than any critical newspaper article or internet comment written about Meghan.

He failed to tell Meghan the truth about royal life and what was expected of her because he knew she might walk away, like his previous girlfriends. Then, when she tells him she's suicidal, Harry - the champion of mental health charities, a man who had gone to therapy even before he met Meghan - does nothing to help her. That's genuinely awful.

Harry’s treatment of Meghan gets lost in a lot of the fuss created over other things.

He wanted a wife. He knew other people walked away, and most importantly why they walked away. Yet did nothing to make sure she was properly prepared.

And as you say, openly admits doing nothing to help her when she told him she was suicidal.

He comes across as a very poor husband imo.

Looks like another name change to me - the writing style's very distinctive

Yes I know the previous name. This is how the "conversations" go.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 18/02/2024 20:27

Harry had his own therapist on speed dial, though. Horrible man.

Google and you can find lists of verifiably false claims he made during various interviews.

More than the lies though, it's his hypocrisy that I really can't stand: how dare he cast aspersions on his own family with false racism claims (which he later tried to walk back), when he's a "convicted" racist who was caught on camera and had to apologise for using racist language towards another recruit at Sandhurst.

She’s a grown woman. Why couldn’t she google therapists and pick up the phone herself? She wasn’t in a straight jacket in a dark room in manacles. She wasn’t a small child. For Gods sake.

Because she was depressed?

I'm not a fan of Harry or Meghan but it's hardly unreasonable to think that her husband should have helped her when she was saying she was suicidal.

Vespanest · 18/02/2024 20:37

Harry at most can have a superficial relationship with his father, but there can be no real depth as he will always represent emotional blackmail, that at any given moment there will be an interview, a tv show, a book or Omid. Thats before you even get to Camilla, William and Kate.

It’s not being ridiculous to suggest that the husband of a suicidal woman, who’d moved to another country to be with him, should have helped her when she told him he was suicidal.

It’s what any decent partner would have done.
