I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

just imagine he just says ,his father is doing well, and nothing else.
what will this thread be about lol

He shouldn't even say that. He doesn't have any right to discuss his estranged family publicly. He's Thomas Markle volume 2.

Oh come on. This thread is absolutely bonkers. Obviously they will ask a question and he will respond in a way that reveals no more information than we already know. But it’s the usual press trying to get everyone in an anti H&M frenzy.

💯

SirChenjins · 16/02/2024 10:03

I'd like to think that even Harry wouldn't cross that line and share details of PC's illness that haven't been released formally - although having seen what he was prepared to share in Spare for $$$ who knows? I really hope it's just sensational headlines.

Wasntmeanttobelikethis · 16/02/2024 10:06

Even if he says ‘Yah, he’s doing well’ , it maintains his link with the Royals, which, given his bland personality and limited skills, is his only selling point abroad

crumblingschools · 16/02/2024 10:06

I would hope he would say something non-committal such as he is doing fine, but you just don’t know with Harry.

Maireas · 16/02/2024 10:06

It's working for him/them, though - isn't it? It's very important for them to be in the press, have headlines, photos, interviews, stay interesting and relevant. Without even talking about KC yet!
If the press and photographers ignored them, it would be bad for them and their brand.
It's the way it works. Quid pro quo.

SirChenjins · 16/02/2024 10:08

Wonder what the RF would do if he did share private details? They've given him enough rope up until now - would this be the one thing that tipped them into legal action, I wonder?

Maireas · 16/02/2024 10:12

No, @SirChenjins - he has sold so much of their privacy already, I expect they know he'll always talk to the media.

SirChenjins · 16/02/2024 10:16

@Maireas maybe - although this seems like a big line to cross. Nah, he wouldn't....surely?!

MaturingCheeseball · 16/02/2024 10:16

I agree that the rf are in a bit of trouble. Charles unwell, Kate too, and the Troublesome Twosome seizing their opportunity to “re-royal” themselves. Even if most people jeer, it still makes the whole lot of them look like a soap opera.

Good old Harold. Always count on him to use the royals to get interviews, he maybe won't disclose anything private (well we can hope) but wtf is he doing discussing his practically estranged df at all. Ugh can just imagine that whispery voice 'yah he's good we"re just reaching out and giving him all our love support' 🤮

Oh but Invictus Games goo king Harry yayyy!

His real name is harold😂. How do you name a baby harold🤣

No idea... but it's done the job for clickbait 👍

his name is Henry.

EasternEcho · 16/02/2024 10:19

@Frasers What do you mean? It says he will discuss his father's health. It clearly states one of the things he'll be discussing in the interview. In terms of Prince William "breaking his silence" he basically thanked everyone for their well wishes. He didn't discuss anything. Let's see what Harry has to discuss.

AutumnCrow · 16/02/2024 10:20

If Charles told Harry anything of substance about his condition, then he’s responsible for that just as Harry is responsible for what he says to the media.

I would be disappointed if it emerges our Head of State is more of a naive, sentimental fool than a deft, capable helmsman.

I doubt we’ll see a Republic in my lifetime so my best hope is that the monarchs are decent and not easily swayed by relatives of dubious integrity (of which there are a few, tbh).

Maireas · 16/02/2024 10:22

Charles is not responsible for Harry's behaviour.
Harry is 39.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 16/02/2024 10:22

@EasternEcho - that was my thinking - there’s been so many articles with headlines about William “breaking his silence” about his dads health and it was just a bland “thanks” with no details etc. So given the DM and other papers’ over excitement about that, I’d be slow to presume Harry actually gave an interview all about his dads health (as PP said, may well have given a general interview and was asked, so gave a general answer)

Maxus · 16/02/2024 10:23

If he says anything that should remain private then hopefully they will finally be stripped of their titles. I strongly believe that when William becomes king this will be one of the first things he does.

CathyorClaire · 16/02/2024 10:24

I wonder if he'll 'break his silence' on African Parks too.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 16/02/2024 10:26

If Charles told Harry anything of substance about his condition, then he’s responsible for that just as Harry is responsible for what he says to the media

If I tell someone in my family details about my health and they then go and put it on the family WhatsApp, that's their responsibility. Mine stops at where I was bloody stupid enough to trust a relative to keep confidential something that personal. Personally I doubt HM IS that stupid.

If he says what type of cancer KC has, the RF will probably react
They are trying to cash in as much as possible before PW takes the titles

He won't do that, he's stupid but not that stupid.

I doubt he'll reveal anything, he won't have been told much at all anyway however just using it as opportunity to draw in views for his latest interview is sickening in itself.

friendlycat · 16/02/2024 10:31

I certainly don't agree with all that he has revealed to date.

But, as usual, the media like inflammatory headlines.
I would hope whatever he says about his father's health is just a bland non statement. And I very much doubt that in his 20 minutes (or whatever) meeting with his father that he even shared the exact nature of his illness to his son.

It will a media interview and at some point he will be asked about The King. It would be rather odd if he was not. Let's hope Harry just gives a suitable answer without revealing anything whatsoever.

If he does it’s very sad

If he doesn’t still making hay out of his relationship

Depressing

themessygarden · 16/02/2024 10:35

It's exactly what he did before the Germany invictus, made a quick dash visit to the Queen and then gave an interview about making sure she was okay. He is nothing if not predictable.
