I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

We're always being told the tabloids are hell bent on destroying them, and all the while they print numerous puff pieces about the couple. Especially the Express and, oh the irony, the Mirror. Coupled with the Guardian and the Independent, the Sussexes have a lot more positive, British press than certain posters on these boards would have us believe.

That’s just not true. Most of them are straightforwardly hateful and others are hate filled articles masquerading as puff pieces.

I agree . Or passive aggressive wide eyed innocent articles designed to encourage hateful discourse. We can see right through it.

Ah well, there's always Page 6.

The last few years have been about Harry and his family past, I think the new reset is going to be Meghan.

Vespanest, you may be on to something .......... their 'Thank you' to Canada photo.

Harry to give an interview to discuss Charles's illness

Tabloids want to sell papers - they'll take any stance or shifting stance to do so they are not charities and do not work for celebrities- they offer at best a symbiotic relationship at worse parasitic - that why PR is an entire industry and smart ones work with media to get to positive spin and get boundaries respected.

I saw Harry recent interview with Good Morning and I can see why some people say he came off defensive and petulant - he could have definitely been prepared better for what were fairly standard predictable questions.

I've read one daily Mail (shock horror) on interview though it's stance was more who is this interviewer - who does have interesting back ground and Harry was incidental but it was kind to Harry.

Thank you Canada from the Office of the D and D? They really did treat it like a royal tour didn't they?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 24/02/2024 12:40

That Good Morning America interview was terrible. Harry was very hostile and pretty rude, imo. And who talks about their children in those sorts of generic terms? Just so weird and awkward. It was a pre-planned interview, but it came across as him being accosted and trying to get rid of an irritant.

Meghan front and centre, Harry an afterthought at his own event.

Exactly - I saw one review say it like he forgot he had kids - but yes it didn't come across as a planned interview at all.

mrsmingleton · 25/02/2024 00:40

@themessygarden that photo - my golly gosh they really love themselves, don't they? Oh look at me little Meghan with no voice looking up to my big Prince 😂

mrsmingleton · 25/02/2024 00:50

They love to double up on all these things don't they? A year to go - let's have a big bash now. Visited an animal rescue in 2019? Let's whip up a pic from then and post it on news as if it just happened 🙄

Spectre8 · 25/02/2024 22:40

Well turns out he barely said anything so all the hysterical articles in the media and comments here acting like he had already done something but he hadn't and turned out to be nothing...oh dear...

mrsmingleton · 25/02/2024 23:10

Yup same old stuff - at least he said he won't discuss his father's illness.

Where are the hysterical articles ? I must have missed them .

Maireas · 26/02/2024 11:16

There are no "hysterical" articles, @Mylovelygreendress , or "frenzied" reports or other such ludicrously exaggerated claims.
Oh, and none of us are "frothing", either.

SheriffofRottingham · 26/02/2024 11:22

Do you usually interpret different opinions as hysterical?...oh dear...

It's an attempt to shut down discussion, and has been used against women in particular. You don't have a valid view, you're "hysterical". You're not putting an opinion forward, you're "frothing".

Agree . Interesting that none of the H and M supporters have highlighted a “ hysterical” article .
Definitely not frothing here nor hating …..

Yes, whilst claiming to be proponents of feminism. Says a lot about a poster when they have to resort to that type of rebuttal.

There were quote a lot in the media about Harry doing an interview about hainfayhers illness and there is this entire thread here started before the interview had happened. What more do you need the posts on here all assuming he is going to talk about it, spill the beans, this is why they don't share much with him...

And now the interview has happened are those people who made those comments back here saying they were wrong to assume of course not

This is the hysterics I talk about.... getting in a tizz when it hasn't happened and no idea what will be said but let's just come have a pop and assume

Spectre8 · 26/02/2024 14:25

Oh and i dont care for the royals i think they are all crap and ive never made out I'm a feminist or proponent of feminish either

SheriffofRottingham · 26/02/2024 14:47

Sounds like it’s you that’s getting into a tizz about the imagined hysterics 😂

’Oh and i dont care for the royals i think they are all crap’ yeah sure, unless it’s Harry and Meghan 😂

Thegreengreengrassofhomes · 26/02/2024 14:48

He didn’t say anything about his father’s illness because he probably doesn’t know any more than the rest of us - from now on, the RF won’t be telling him anything they aren’t happy to have spread across the front page of the Daily Telegraph.

There’s no hysterics here - just an understandable amount of eye-rolling and contempt for Harry.

"getting in a tizz"
So commenting on a public figure and having an opinion is getting in a tizz?.😂
