I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

I believed Meghan whe she said we actually got married the day before. So much for that. I'd rather believe the DM.

I knew she was talking shit from the off! As if!! Someone who can lie so blatantly doesn't have a lot of credibility!

mrsmingleton · 19/02/2024 15:54

She doesn't keep her lies in order - that's the problem. She gets caught out.

Flamme · 19/02/2024 16:59

I'm not keen on Charles either though, as everybody seems brainwashed from remembering that he made everybody think if he married Camilla he would pass the crown on to William.

That is simply not true. Neither he nor anyone else on his behalf ever said that.

crumblingschools · 19/02/2024 17:33

When did Charles say he would pass the Crown to William if he married Camilla?

He never said it.

Although neither of the boys have the guts to call their daughters Diana as a first name, out of fear of offending Charles.

Neither of them are remotely afraid of offending Charles.

Harold's been yapping his grievances about him to anyone who will listen for years and Willy charges him rent on a holiday home in Wales originally bought for C's use alone by the opaque Duchy of Cornwall (Highgrove too but presumably he expected that).

Lemony5 · 22/02/2024 01:41

He needs the money from interviews to sources that he just sued! How the mighty have fallen

FuzzyManul · 22/02/2024 09:10

I believed Meghan whe she said we actually got married the day before.

Seriously?

Irishrosie · 22/02/2024 12:49

Anyone could weasel their way back into the British affections after Charles and Camilla did

Harry and Meghan have tried to turn what's supposed to be an institution, the head of state, head of military, government and everything into the Kard' type USA talentless celeb industry. Plus the royals make staff sign secrecy documents, while Harry wrote his own book giving away secrets to make money.
I'm not keen on Charles either though, as everybody seems brainwashed from remembering that he made everybody think if he married Camilla he would pass the crown on to William. After how he acted, proposing to the teenage Diana, expecting her to be untouched by any man before, getting her pregnant by 20, while Camilla was a married woman in her 30s with children, and knew she was making Diana unhappy still sleeping with Charles, and gaslighting Diana to look like the crazy one.
Although neither of the boys have the guts to call their daughters Diana as a first name, out of fear of offending Charles.

Edited

He never at any point suggested he’d abdicate for william

They announced at the time of the marriage the plan, then, was for her to potentially be called the Princess Consort - that would have been entirely superfluous if he’d also indicated an intention to abdicate

Neither of them have used their mother’s name imo to protect their daughters from the ridiculousness in the press that would have come from carrying that name. The press intrusion will be heavy enough as the children grow up

Anyone could weasel their way back into the British affections after Charles and Camilla did

It pretty much took them 15 plus years though. Not everyone can play the long game like the heir to the throne can.

I tend to believe people until they are proved to be liars.

Hence my question.

CathyorClaire · 22/02/2024 21:12

I'd have set more store by it had the pair of now proven Pinocchios then offered to repay the eye-watering costs incurred by anyone but them.

AliceOlive · 22/02/2024 21:36

I am just putting some things together. Was she already married when she says Kate made her cry? Already married when the stuff about her Dad was blowing up?

And on a completely different note, didn’t she give out weed at her first wedding in Jamaica? Why were noses so out of joint when the reputation of Jamaica being linked with weed was mentioned? MM herself helped perpetuated it. (Sorry, that was that a different thread)

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 22/02/2024 21:54

The crying was apparently 4 days before the Windsor wedding over ill fitting bridesmaids dresses. A royal tailor was brought in to sort out Givenchy’s poor quality dresses and they worked round the clock to get it right for the big day (they still didn’t look right).

The stuff with her dad was blowing up before her wedding when he was being photographed by that Backgrid fellow doing staged photographs and making a tit of himself. It blew up completely with the publishing of her letter to her dad in the DM (I can’t remember where I read this, but I believe said letter was written in collaboration with palace aide Jason Knauf and designed to be sympathetic to Meghan should it ever leak).

Yes, it has been reported that bags of weed were given out as wedding favours at her first wedding.

Runnerinthenight · 22/02/2024 21:55

Classy!!

SheriffofRottingham · 22/02/2024 22:06

‘bags of weed were given out as wedding favours’

Great role model.

AInightingale · 23/02/2024 00:19

Is MM into weed too? Does explain a lot about both of them if so.

AliceOlive · 23/02/2024 04:06

But @Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar was it her real wedding or her fake wedding for the world?

Thegreengreengrassofhomes · 23/02/2024 11:23

Oh dear, piece is riddled with wishful thinking - presumably straight from Sussex PR HQ 😂😂😂

I still don’t think they will like it. Too many truths.
