I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

A comfortable private jet with private service for a couple of hours is one thing
It doesn’t change what he’s done to his family. And to an extent the UK (by slagging off the press, the police, the monarchy)
imo he’s awful, I've haven’t met him for 20 seconds either but know i would never do what he’s done to his family to make money. I understand why William is ready to cut ties. He can’t have a truly private conversation so they can’t heal, as they don’t have a safe space/privacy to work it through.
I hope he never comes back to live in the UK.

The newspaper websites I mostly quote or link to on MN are the Guardian, the Observer, the Times, the Telegraph and the BBC. These links are not always made in an approving way - more of a 'look at the state of this' way, notably with the Guardian's and BBC's coverage of equality issues. I've done a few links to my beloved Morning Star as well.

I have linked to the DM too when it has been pertinent within a specific context, prefaced with [paraphrasing] 'this is what the DM is claiming'.

The belief that MN posters are swallowing the printed word of the DM hook, line and sinker might appear to be lazy, uninformed, and riddled with misogyny, mirroring at least one of the persons the belief is supposed to be defending and elevating.

No wonder the aides wouldn't let him go to Sandringham. He's obviously worried about money. I wouldn't trust him. How nice of him to offer to take on some royal duties.........at what cost.

I posted on the thread that's full - the '45 minutes' one - that I reckoned Charles didn't want Harry at Sandringham, hence the hanging around for a bit to see H briefly at Clarence House and providing the police escort from Heathrow to speed things up. Charles wanted to get the inevitable meeting over and done with as quickly as possible, and nowhere near Sandringham.

Well whatever Charles said - some version will appear in Spare 2, or the latest reality show or whatever. I hope Charles told him that he was going to live in Tibet as a yak herder and Camilla is converting to Scientology.

I agree H responded with a classic response that gave no information. I think H has said after the spare interviews he will not reveal further information. I hope H & M do close the door on sharing anything else but supposedly there are more books that need to be delivered. The additional problem is where exactly did OS get his information from for Endgame?

WRT Oprah, it was clear to me that there were cultural clashes which led to some misunderstandings e.g. UK vs US, celebrity vs royalty. Together with a strong feeling H had not helped M to integrate/understand the institution.

The one part of Oprah that was really disingenuous to me, particularly with the benefit of hindsight, was M conflating separate conversations about skin colour and titles to imply the RF we’re not going to give their children titles because of racism/unconscious bias. H looked very uncomfortable when he joined the conversation and stated clearly it was one conversation about skin colour. Years later H has said that one conversation was unconscious bias. Then OS in Endgame reveals the names accidentally and H & M remain silent.

With the benefit of hindsight, either Harry did not explain to Meghan exactly how titles work e.g. Archie is Earle of Dumbarton from birth and when my Dad becomes King he will be a Prince or they wanted HMQEII to issue a letter patent making them Prince or Princess from birth. Twisting it to sound as though it was racism that stopped Archie having a title from birth was clearly untrue.

If Charles is having treatment it surely makes sense for Harry not to go to Sandringham anyway?

Plus if it was always the plan to go to Canada he was never going to stay that long was he?

Much as I'm not a fan, he was never going to hang around indefinitely, missing Canada & not getting back to his wife & kids pdq!

Indeed. Harry came into the interview and contradicted M. At this point it was the interviewer Oprah's job to say, 'okay okay, we seem to potentially have a big discrepancy here, guys ... So Harry, you've let your wife harbour a major misunderstanding for how long??'

But Oprah didn't. The 'scoop' was just too good to question, I suppose. And Harry just sat there like a lump momentarily, and reverted back to script.

Then they hounded them into accepting money from Charles. Then they hounded them into doing Oprah....such hounding!
