I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

it is good for me 😁
Good👍 No need to be quick on the offense. I see your name a lot and you write good detailed posts. Different perspective to mine though.

Anyway, according to Wikipedia she was still working for them at the time of Harry's split from the RF and she was combining that with charity work as an ambassador for Made By Dyslexia and was patron of the British Skin Foundation in addition to quite a few other activities in the charity sector.

Being a patron of a charity is not royal work, however, unless it’s a royal charity. None of Beatrice’s are, so she’s no different to any other person who serves patron of a charity, like Joanna Lumley and Carol Vorderman - chosen for their high profile and interest in the charity’s work.

Except, being a Princess, she is different isn’t she? Not to be deliberately rude but Joanna Lumley and Carol Vorderman have skills and careers and can bring that experience to their charitable work. Whereas Beatrice is asked to be a patron because of her royal connections presumably?

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 17/02/2024 13:40

I see the reverse ferret is in full action. Now they love his family, want to be part of it, would consider being working royals again.

Why on earth would they want to, considering what they’ve said about their time as working royals? According to Harry his family are emotionally stunted racists who abused his wife and are controlled by men in grey suits. Why would he want back into that if what he said had any baring in the truth?

I suspect that they thought Charles would be a soft touch and have been waiting for apologies and invitations to come back that haven’t been forth coming. And now they are shoving their foot through the door to make it happen. What a gross pair of hypocrites.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 17/02/2024 13:44

Joanna Lumley and Carol Vorderman are not bringing their skills into their charity work. They are bringing their name and their fame, that opens doors for the charity to the people and organisations that actually can provide valuable help. Being a princess is the claim to fame, no different to being a famous actor or personality, but it's a valuable claim nevertheless. The claim to fame and publicity that it brings is what the actually helpful organisations want - they want the free public relations coup and reputational enhancement in exchange for helping the charity, and the famous person is the bridge that links them.

I think that Beatrice is dyslexic which is why she was asked to be patron of Made by Dyslexia.

To be honest in usa most people refer to others using sir and ma'am, maybe they do the same in canda when I was on holiday it's what the locals would say to me when I was chatting to people. I even ended up using it too when I had to questions 😅 so I don't really see the issue

American here (New Yorker, to be precise.) We absolutely do not refer to most people as sir and ma'am. It's reserved for elders, like my grandmother's friends, or when supermarket cashiers need to grab someone's attention ("Ma'am? You are next.") We don't use it when speaking to colleagues.

Scotland doesn't want him!

PrincessWildernessOfWherever · 17/02/2024 16:56

Well, Braveheart was a Hollywood fantasy bearing little basis in fact or reality. So yes, possibly a good nickname for Harry?

I cannot for the life of me believe that Harry offered this!! It would mean that he is even more of a simpleton than I believed him to be.

I very much doubt he did. He'd get booed if he showed his stupid face!

William did exactly that when the Queens body was being returned to London. Harry was told she was going by train, that was the story that somehow was leaked to the papers and it was a load of nonsense 😆

Irishrosie · 17/02/2024 18:56

It's all the fashion to hate Harry and Meghan now. Once upon a time it was Charles and Camilla. And Waity Katy was none too popular once .How fickle people are.

gingercat02 · 16/02/2024 09:38

You obviously hate him, which is fair enough, but his actual name is Henry!

William's nickname for him is Harold

People also forget, or did not know, that after her divorce and before her death, Diana was getting some bad press and some negative public opinion. In fact, as I recall, some of the papers had to do an about face when she died because of negative stories they had set to run.

OhmygodDont · 17/02/2024 19:06

I think one of the difference with the tindals as such is you might know them as the tindals in general and Not as relations of the royal family as a first or maybe even second thought.

where as Prince Harry / the duke and Duchess of Sussex are quite clearly.
