I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

It will be interesting to watch the pivoting on a scale never before beheld from the M&H Supporters if they do manage to weasel their way back in. I can imagine it will be, “Oh, they are such an asset the rf begged them to help out.”

yeah this everybody is addressed like this tbf to them I don't think they would have demanded this; it's a respect/manners thing acriss North America.

The Invictus representative had asked how they wanted to be addressed, and that is what he was told.

"Sir" and "Ma'am".

Had he been told "Just call me Harry", I'm sure people would have done just that.

Each proposal that they might come back is couched in the terms of them doing the RF a favour: like saying they were 'minded' to accept an invitation to Sandringham (that was never issued) and that Haz is prepared to come and help out in the RF's hour of need. There's a sublime lack of self-awareness about their behaviour and that the RF is more likely 'Thanks, but I'd rather chew my arm off' than 'Thanks, making the beds up now, want picking up at the airport?'

maybe that was their way of being informal I mean how do you usually address a Duke and Duchess ? they probably thought Sir/M'amm was fine.

I thought we had it from the best authorities on all of MN that they are NEVER coming back - and I hope, for once, they are correct.

In Harry’s GMA interview, he pretty much dismisses even going to visit his British family for the sake of wanting to see them, saying he might pop in if he’s here doing something else.

I can’t imagine either of them would have the balls to face a crowd over here on official royal duties. Their detractors don’t want them back, and their supporters - especially the republicans- would surely feel let down. And let’s not forget all the deference they would have to show in public to the family they have trashed.

And really, why would any of the RF and the people who advise them trust them? What’s stopping them just repeating history all over again, manufacturing conflict and flouncing in order to fill another set of tell all media money spinners? There’s no signs that these leopards’ spots are any different from the ones they had 4/5 years ago. If anything, they are worse.

CathyorClaire · 17/02/2024 10:15

I may have been misread that, what with all his talk about his frozen todger in the book.

I thought the DM offered a 'sweet nod' to that story with the caption about the duke walking down a path holding his helmet 😂

I am 😮and 😆at the suggestion Sir Harold might swoop in for a bit of emergency ribbon cutting. Still. Living legend of aviation and all that.

LolaSmiles · 17/02/2024 10:16

I agree, many people say Harry changed when he married, he didn't, we are just seeing the real PH now he doesn't have the benefit of the Royal PR team to curate his image of the loveable party prince
I have similar suspicions. I think some people are very unpleasant towards Meghan and due to internalised misogyny are looking for a woman to blame for a man's behaviour, when in reality this side was probably there all along.

You'd think most people would know the firm had a PR team and were managing relationships with the media all along.

It is.

But when they "meghxited", he was very much "I'm just an ordinary bloke, me - don't stand on ceremony, none of that "Sir", and "Highness" stuff. Just call me Harry". He's now, despite supposedly wanting to have nothing to do with "the firm", very much standing on ceremony again.

Same when he was in court - started off "Just Harry will do" when he was asked how he wanted o be addressed, then pretty damn quickly moved to "I'm a duke - address me properly when he started getting a hard time.

And the journalist at the interview by completely avoiding this most pressing of topics just demonstrated this is all just a carefully curated pr drive with no real scrutiny allowed. He’s hiding behind his own family drama to deceive and distract.

👏👏

This wasn't a random interview - it was a carefully curated one.

Yes, it's a brave heart that doesn't speak up about rape and torture happening on his watch.

Fortunately, my bar on what constitutes a 'brave heart' is clearly a world away from some.

Having said that, I think the PP may be on a wind up because in what world does anybody over the age of 14 think like that about anyone😮😁.
