I just read an article in the DM about this. I really honestly couldn't believe he would do this. I just hope it isn't true. Just how could he. Privacy????.

@Mixmup Rousette handles it would good grace, I think she has had to!

shielder · 16/02/2024 21:37

More pictures released. There Meghan is, showing us what a feminist looks like yet again, passively standing about covered in jewellery and expensive clothes, seal-clapping her husband so he knows just how marvellous he is. I bet Emmeline Pankhurst would be so impressed.

What a load of nonsense

The Times has an article suggesting that Harry has offered to come back and help out as a royal on a part time basis, according to his "sources".

I don't find that particularly convincing as a story because I don't see how it would work. Surely it's just the same half in/half out thing they proposed which the late Queen rejected. I think if nothing else it has become clear in the last few years that being a working royal and making money is an almost impossible line to tread, exactly as it was for Edward and Sophie years ago.

I really can't see it working, can anyone else?

No I honestly didn't by see how that would work

SirChenjins · 16/02/2024 21:37

Why on earth would Harry want to be part of such a toxic family/ organisation

Because they’re a huge source of income for him and he needs to be part of it to keep the Montecito roof over his head

maybe as they aren’t as toxic as he’s made out?

UK press/media/talking heads/gossip columnists have bandied about different variations of this story/idea since 2020.

Obviously not. However doing something other than standing about doing the, 'My husband is so dreamy and I'm just a girl so can't do anything except standing about looking nice' routine might be a better look.

Edited for many typos

Edited

I wish she would throw on an Invictus hoodie once in a while.

Samcro · 16/02/2024 21:46

Yes because suffragettes didn’t wear jewellery

One way of getting more fodder for his books and interviews I suppose.

Well even if he has offered to help out whilst KC has stepped back it doesn't mean that the offer would be accepted.

Perhaps he just wants to be seen to have offered?

Totally awful. Along with smiling. Not on.

Runnerinthenight · 16/02/2024 21:50

Question - does anyone here have the first clue what's been happening re the IG at all? From where I'm sitting, it's the Harry and Meghan show!

They're not promoting Invictus. They are shamelessly plugging themselves!

I hope the King told Harry nothing. With him, everything has a price.

And no, you don't love your family Harry, because if you did, you wouldn't have trashed them publicly for money. And what need does he actually have of his birth family, now he has his own family, other than for cash?

The total double standards over illness bringing families together - so what of Thomas Markle?

The pair of them are narcissists. What a legacy for Archie and Lili!

I think he probably has suggested that, it's the half in half out and comes with the perks of decent security etc. He's seen a window of opportunity, seized it and hopped straight onto a plane to pay papa a visit.

His talk about 'unifying' family is a load of bull and he knows it otherwise it would have happened by now following either Duke of Edinburgh or QEII passing or Thomas Markle's heart attack.

He is very transparent.

Roussette · 16/02/2024 21:38

That was what I thought. I don't think Meghan would want to, and I really can't blame her for that, and I don't think Harry would do it without her. Plus I don't see how it would work.

I can though imagine the vastly increased number of tabloid stories attacking everything they did, who would want to face that again, it's bad enough as it is.

Roussette · 16/02/2024 21:55

FFS leave the little children out of it

It just seemed a weird idea, but a pp said that it's a regular topic for an article so I'll now file it with the annual will they/won't they Balmoral/Christmas ones!

diddl · 16/02/2024 22:02

I also can't see it working.

Can't see them all coming back & can't see him coming back & doing royal engagements alone.

Well the theory is, and I think there’s reasonable evidence to suggest it might be true, is that certain members of the RF stood by and watched Harry and his wife being trashed, or directly or indirectly trashed them, by feeding stories to the tabloids to distract from other matters. So H & M became collateral damage.

Care to explain the “drink” comment Maireas or am I missing something?

It's not me bringing the "little children" into this!!! Seriously?? Don't you realise that those children will grow up and will be able to read all this shit on the internet? Don't you think they will ask why they don't see their grandads? Why they don't have aunts/uncles/cousins? Why they are part of the Royal Family but are excluded from it by their parents? Why they've never had the chance to stay in Royal palaces? Etc etc etc??

Harry and Meghan are doing this to their children, no-one else! Catch a grip!

I haven't seen any evidence - can you cite a source?

All I can see is that H & M trashed his family for money.
