String Cheese Reaction GIF by MOODMAN

Are you kidding, @Turtlerussell ? I'd push @jeffgoldblum into the dog bowl to get to the mac & cheese first! Some things are not for sharsies. She can have an extra sausage instead.

@wildernesssw Where's the spring onion? 😂

I have so much cheese. Bought a truckload for our normally cheese loving weekend visitors, only for them to tell us they are on a dairy avoiding health kick. But they still brought a load of cheese from their native country with them. My fridge looks like the cheese counter at Waitrose. So now it will be cheese for my breakfast, cheese for my lunch and cheese for my bloody dinner.

Everyone over to @Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar for a cheesefest!

Oh good. I really needed more cheese. For strength.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/02/2024 15:19

Everyone welcome. Please bring your biscuit of choice. I've got fig chutney, chili jam and Branston. No pickled onions though, I find the vinegar corrupts the experience.

Maireas · 14/02/2024 15:52

A health kick? Avoiding dairy?
What madness is this?!

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/02/2024 16:05

It's their version of a mid life crisis. TBF, they live where the sun shines most of the year, and they don't need to comfort eat cheese to get through the winter months. They are talking of giving up wine too! 😱It's a form of madness, I tell you! DH and I are taking the reverse route through middle age.🧀🍷

jeffgoldblum · 14/02/2024 16:25

And here was me delighted and brimming with love because dh got me two expensive bottles of fizz for Valentine's Day !!! 🤣

Also be aware!!! Cheese is apparently a code now!!!!
Maybe we should start a club like the freemans !!! ?
We could call it the fromageers!!?? 🧀🧀🧀

Freemasons not freemans! Although I'm not adverse to a cheese catalogue either!

Can we discuss our accomplishments? I won a writing prize once. 3rd grade class. They taped two quarters to the back of my paper so I’d know I won. I’ve left it off my CV but am rethinking.

Maireas · 14/02/2024 18:02

That's very good, @AliceOlive . Why is that not on your CV?!?.
When I was at Girl Guide camp we had to build fires from scratch, and light them without matches. I had it down to a fine art and won an award - Best Fire Starter. Nowadays that would probably have a different meaning.

Oh, that is so fancy! I love it! You can be my new PR officer @Maireas . Just keep your hands out of my red carpet shots. I expect to be invited to the British Cheese Awards to accept an accolade for my services to combatting institutional cheese hatred within MN. (No, it doesn't matter that many other posters have done more than me to promote the causes of peace and cheese and that this isn't even my thread, nobody else will look as good wrapped in a frock resembling the logo of the Bath & West Food & Drink Festival, I rock a bit of yellow, and will match all the cheese.)

The Fromageers need a majestic crest, I think, @jeffgoldblum . How about a central fondu caldron adorned with the national symbols of this fair land to reflect our cheese making heritage; rampant cow on one side, passant guarding goat on the other; whole thing adorned with a crown of Dairy Lea triangles?

AliceOlive · 14/02/2024 18:28

Brava, @Maireas!! Very impressing. Surely it’s on your LinkedIn profile?

I won the three legged race at primary school one year!

Not on my own, obviously...

It doesn't matter, take the full credit, stick your logo on it and hold a conference to talk about it. The other person can't complain, you are raising awareness of three leggedness in this world that ignores the achievements of young girls.
