So Harry flew for 11 hours and then spoke to his father for 45 minutes ? Charles then bobbed to Sandringham by helicopter and Harry checked into a hotel. I mean wouldn't you think Harry would have gone to Sandringham with Charles maybe ?

the thing that im puzzled about he had police escort to the palace from the airport but not from the palace was he not expected to leave? did he leave unexpected why the swift downgrade in security in less than an hour?

I think the outriders escort was to get him to Charles as quickly as possible because he was booked to fly to Sandringham and ended up delaying his trip to see Harry. If he had not had the police escort it would have taken much longer to get to Clarence House and Charles would either have been waiting for much longer or potentially would have had to leave to get to Sandringham.

After their meeting I think Harry had some security but didn't need a police escort to get him to the hotel/airport faster.

StormzyinaTCup · 08/02/2024 20:42

1. There was no one who wanted to see him, 2) Meghan insisted he turn right around and get himself back home!

  1. .... because she had been all over social media and realised pretty quickly that they'd ballsed it up again!!🤦‍♀️

MM is extremely smart, savvy & ultra sophisticated

I think if that was the case they’d not make so many errors of judgement. I think arguably she’s far from that. I wish she was though, And I don’t mean that as a criticism, but if she was any of those things she’d not say things evidentially untrue and would at least have some influence over what they do and not have done everything since the exit so very badly.

So true

Wherediditgoto · 08/02/2024 20:46

I’d have thought he might have visited his Uncle/Aunts /cousins/friends. It is truly bizarre.

Purplebunnie · 08/02/2024 20:49

@Abouttimeforanamechange
@chrisfromcardiff

Sadly Peter is older than Zara so that's not going to happen.

Don't get me wrong folks, don't want anything to happen to Charles. but at the moment Anne seems to be holding it all together - 4 functions in one day were mentioned on the news the other day- she is the hardest working royal

Edited to make sense

Every time he comes over now it’s for the absolute bare minimum time possible. Clearly no concern for the environment whatsoever.

Doesn't he have any friends he wants to catch up with?

CathyorClaire · 08/02/2024 20:51

I always imagine Harry's office to be .him just sitting in the spare room putting out emails from his phone!

Well we know Archewell is housed in endless offices curiously devoid of human presence so this is quite likely to be correct.

@reclaimmyboobs
“So, my theory. Harry is financially scuppered: no Netflix, no Spotify, no one’s champing at the bit for anything from Archewell, Spare gave some of its takings to charity and in any case for all its sales, it’s not Oprah money – but they’re spending for an Oprah lifestyle. He’s screwed.”

What happened to being after dinner speakers ? Did H and M not sign up to that too ? I know Harry did one search pre Covid but never heard about any more . Is he still part of Better Up ?

Agree with your line of thought. In MY opinion, along those same lines, H & M proved publicly that they will lie and/or twist the truth to make themselves look good. They will tell tales behind the backs of others (think Courtney Cox and the magic mushrooms in her house). Very few people still trust them. They also have produced very, very little in interesting product. Granted, Spare was a huge success, but from what I read, it is the most "left behind" book in hotels all over the world! There's an accolade for you. Their behavior has sunk their boat. No one did this to them. They did it to themselves. Someone else said about this, it could have been so different.

@StormzyinaTCup

Could I politely ask you to drop this. I have covered it but you cannot seem to let it go. I would copy the actual post across and explain in detail what I meant in my reply, but it is against TG to C&P posts from other threads. And to be honest, this is feeling very much like a continuing PA.
I'd appreciate you moving on from this if at all possible.
Thank you. Smile

You don't need to C&P and explain what you 'meant' you can just pop the other thread title in here and people can read it for themselves and take a view.

Anyway, happy to let it go and move on now but I wont not pull people up when I think there is a double standard at play, it's nothing personal.

This is Harry's reality now. I don't know how he thought things would pan out when he started all of this off with Spare etc. Perhaps he was egged on by psycho babble Californian talk which gave him the ears he craved. Perhaps it has escalated more than he thought but did he ever really think it was OK to criticise his brother and children ( to refer to one thing only) ? Did he not think there would be ramifications? Did he think he was going to pop back and forth to take part in all the public moments of the RF that he hates so much and get a resounding welcome? His chickens have come to roost.

CathyorClaire · 08/02/2024 20:59

As other PP’s have said, my money’s on him having come to sign the official paperwork to remove him from line of succession (or something similar)…. He came grudgingly, signed the papers, stormed straight back to USA.

Harold will never willingly remove himself from LoS, CoS or any of the other confected nonsense. Just like Uncle Andy.

Roussette · 08/02/2024 21:01

No, I am not putting another thread title on here for people to 'take a view' on me and my posts. Advanced search is available.

jeffgoldblum · 08/02/2024 21:02

No need for anyone to post saying 'stop replying to me' - they can just stop replying themselves.

jeffgoldblum · 08/02/2024 21:08

Sorry ! Am I not allowed to appreciate another's posts?

I tend to agree with you... after all, he has chosen to use his children's 'Prince/ss' titles. He wouldn't do that if he didn't find it meaningful - despite the 'toxic' nature of the RF...

jeffgoldblum · 08/02/2024 21:09

🧀 and 🍷 for @wildernesssw too!

CathyorClaire · 08/02/2024 21:09

Clearly no concern for the environment whatsoever.

Which makes the question of exactly what happened to those charitable donations originating in the Royal Foundation, transferred to the laughable but conveniently private Travalyst and thus beyond UK scrutiny all the more pressing.

In fact !!!!!! 🧀 and 🍷 for everyone!!! Cheers!

That makes sense. I was a bit puzzled about that.

It sounds more and more that Harry didn't give enough notice of his intended visit, otherwise a police escort wouldn't have been needed to push him through the traffic to fit in with Charles' plans.

I get the impression he doesn't see other people as being equal to i.e. having similar feelings and reactions to himself.

Usually by the time people are 40-ish they have come to terms with the fact that everyone sees things slightly differently, that everyone (even your PARENTS!!!!) are fallible human beings who are generally doing their best, that the way you behave to others will have an impact on the feelings of others and that it will affect the way they behave/respond towards you.

Harry doesn't seem to have grasped that yet.
