Does anyone know where Prince William is?

Errrrr….. where’s Willy? The press focus in the past 24 hours has been perplexing. King Charles’ diagnostic has been the top item, of course. But, bizarrely, the 2nd item has almost invariably been… Prince Harry this and that and the other. Prince HARRY??? What’s with the obsession with him? This should be about Prince WILLIAM! Yet from/about him, absolute silence. What on Earth is going on?

And please don’t start with the “he has to be at his wife’s bedside”. If Harry The Not Next In Line To The Throne And Not Counsellor of State And Can’t Stand In For The King etc etc can fly all the way from Montecito, then William The next King and He Who Should Stand In For King Charles can go visit his Dad in hospital (did he?), rush to be by his dad’s bedside (did he?), make announcements about which official duties he will take up, etc etc.

I know Prince Harry is the one the media are addicted to writing about and slagging off to drive clicks, but can they (and so many on these boards) perhaps take a break from their unhealthy obsession with H (&M) and keep the spotlight where most would expect it to be, on King Charles and, in particular, his successor Prince William?

[Title should read does anyone know...]

@smilesy , so what's your opinion on cheese? , are you a fan? , are you a soft or hard girl?

Stinky cheese for me. Blue, Camembert even Roblochon. Although I like a nice bit of cheddar too. In fact I like most cheese. Om
a cheese tart rather than a cheese cake 😂

Mylovelygreendress · 11/02/2024 12:36

Just looked in the fridge . No Brie 😢Only Stilton ( yuk) or Scottish cheddar . Sigh .

Maireas · 11/02/2024 12:36

Poor Charles, with his swollen nethers and starting the cancer treatment. I swear some people would only be happy if he travelled by donkey.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/02/2024 12:36

Apologies to Stilton lovers .

wildernesssw · 11/02/2024 12:35

Quite right. All cheese is Good.

Unless it is a spray 🤑sorry @AliceOlive

Spray cheese and cheese in a tin are good arguments for the death penalty, IMO.

jeffgoldblum · 11/02/2024 12:37

Ohh @smilesy , now you're talking! , I could go for a cheese tart!
Now what about a cheese scone????

smilesy · 11/02/2024 12:37

Mylovelygreendress · 11/02/2024 12:36

Apologies to Stilton lovers .

It takes all sorts and that leaves more Stilton for those of us who do like it 😂

I say too good for the likes of them. They should attend every "awards" ceremony presided over, or for the benefit of, Harry.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 11/02/2024 12:39

Stilton. 😘

RocketsMagnificent7 · 11/02/2024 12:39

There's a certain faction in this board, who feel they are free to challenge at will but whenever someone dares challenge their posts they are accused of personal attacks and instructed to move on. It's a very obvious pattern.

That same faction also have very obvious double standards, with a habit of playing the victim when called out on those double standards.

The worst part is they can often have valid points or raise topics that would be good to debate, but they themselves typically end up derailing their own arguments or shutting down discussion the moment someone challenges. They say they respect other opinions but it's very clear that isn't the case.

Sadly or weirdly ( depending on your view!)
All that is going round my head now is ...."little donkey, little donkey"🫏 🤪

Better that than HM's swollen nethers.

Actually, this morning we had scrambled egg with Parmesan. It was yum! I have a packet of grated Parmesan given to me by my MiL (long story but she doesn’t like cheese and my SiL over from the States has bought it for a recipe she made while she was here) and I need to use it up ( pre grated cheese is something I find strange too 😂)

ooh edited to say wrong quote. That should have been Jeff’s post about scones that I quoted 😆

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 11/02/2024 12:41

Also a very obvious attempt at derailing.

I'm confused?

"A helicopter is too good and comfortable for you, Kingy - donkey or penny farthing only".

jeffgoldblum · 11/02/2024 12:42

Doesn't take much mind!

ArcaneWireless · 11/02/2024 12:43

Well mount me like a stallion and be prepared to have a skelped arse but on my days off I will be trying to recreate that velveeta stuff for my sibling.

They’ll know if I succeed or not. I won’t have a clue.

jeffgoldblum · 11/02/2024 12:43

Thought that said " penny farting " for a moment there @Maireas !! 🤣

A righteous quest ! Good luck 🤞

Or a unicycle.

With no wheel…

There are many thing to pick on to criticise the rf, but as most here are saying, a helicopter ride when you’ve started cancer treatment… mealy-mouthed choice of complaint.

Also fed up with posters and their personal knowledge . Ok, I was guilty about the length of drive, but some posters do it every time! It’s “my dd is a doctor so…” “I lived in the US so…” “I danced with a man who danced with a girl who danced with the Prince of Wales…”.

Btw it’s a small number of posters, not just one .

But I live in the US so I had to tell about spray cheese. Surely there can be an exception for first hand cheese anecdotes?

By the way, spray cheese is great in the car. Or helicopter.
