Does anyone know where Prince William is?

Errrrr….. where’s Willy? The press focus in the past 24 hours has been perplexing. King Charles’ diagnostic has been the top item, of course. But, bizarrely, the 2nd item has almost invariably been… Prince Harry this and that and the other. Prince HARRY??? What’s with the obsession with him? This should be about Prince WILLIAM! Yet from/about him, absolute silence. What on Earth is going on?

And please don’t start with the “he has to be at his wife’s bedside”. If Harry The Not Next In Line To The Throne And Not Counsellor of State And Can’t Stand In For The King etc etc can fly all the way from Montecito, then William The next King and He Who Should Stand In For King Charles can go visit his Dad in hospital (did he?), rush to be by his dad’s bedside (did he?), make announcements about which official duties he will take up, etc etc.

I know Prince Harry is the one the media are addicted to writing about and slagging off to drive clicks, but can they (and so many on these boards) perhaps take a break from their unhealthy obsession with H (&M) and keep the spotlight where most would expect it to be, on King Charles and, in particular, his successor Prince William?

As a poster said on another thread it does explain why he came over to the UK for a 30ish min meeting with his Dad. Doesn't make the optics much better, but they would have been much worse if he hadn't.

I hope he was value for money for the organisers, as he probably needs this to become a stable income stream.

Most presenters at award shows for the individual awards are not paid so would be surprised if he was paid at all. I would be interested to know if anyone knows differently - we have a few people who work in the industry on this board. A quick review of compensation schemes for the Ricky Gervais and Chris Rock of this world actually shows that these events are not very well paid.

I just read his “ gag filled” speech . Didn’t laugh once .

I am normally a Brie gal but after the mention of Primula I had a real longing for a squeeze of Primula with shrimp on a ritz cracker so toddled off to Tesco this morning . No primula . This was the best I could come up!

My head is exploding. Primula is spray cheese, right? You have spray cheese there? I thought that was solely a US thing. I feel vindicated on behalf of all Americans and our cheese.

Anyway, I was inspired to have actual cheese on a cracker with spring onion due to this thread and my poor reading of @MrsFinkelstein 's post. I mistranslated "silverskin pickled onion" to "spring onion" because I was in a tizzy over the Primula. It was delightful. My DH asked why I was having cheese and crackers for breakfast. I silently thought "It's after 2PM in England, dear." Silent because... well, he doesn't want to hear any more about you lot or your RF or MM.

It’s not a spray here. It’s a squeezable tube (like a toothpaste tube - can’t think of a better example)

I love plastic cheese and am a particular fan of Cheese Whizz whether it is in Crab Queso dip or squirting out of jalapeño peppers 😂
