It goes without saying its only her business, however I found it odd that whilst 'doomscrolling' from sleeplessness I came across a couple of posts from US news sites claiming they had news obtained from 'Palace sources' posted onto SM.

We all know that KP is somewhat leaky but over something like this? (I suppose Maybe if the price was right?)
Or is it just speculation passed off as the truth?
Or, are US news sources avowed to publish info that uk ones aren't?

I'm not particularly interested in what she's had done, surgery is unpleasant, full stop, But I'm just wondering if there's a reason the story is in US but not uk news-if it even real ( which seems slightly unlikely I would think, but then you never know about anyone personal life).
Just found out odd and curious as to the whys

The statement says PssOW has returned to Windsor. I wonder whether she’s in the castle rather than Adelaide Cottage? If she’s having clinicians visit to continue her recovery they may be less likely to be papped going in and out of the castle.

OMG! what else can we speculate on now.

Fear not!

Whether Adelaide cottage is heated or not might be worth a good handwringing about.

No you seem to have misunderstood.
I said the palace routinely lies.

They are puppet masters manipulating the public continuously to ensure they remain in existence.

Not telling you something about their health isn't lying its called privacy

The statement says she has gone home. Which is Adelaide Cottage. When have you ever seen anyone papped going in and out of there?

It is 2024 peeps!! 🤣

I feel like this is at least a great problem to have compared to what we were worrying about! I am sure they can rustle a plug in heater from somewhere!!! 😂😂

smilesy · 29/01/2024 15:50

The King is out too now so all the conspiracy theorists can go home 😆

Not saying the Queen has Cancer has nothing to do with keeping them in existence though. And everything to do with managing speculation and allowing her some personal privacy
Same for Phillip

Disagree.

Their whole existence depends on speculation and perceived adoration.

Look at this thread about people clicking on a thread about the royal family - interested in everything they do yet shouting about giving them their privacy on a public forum.

The whole thing is for a different era and is all about keeping themselves relevant. Kate probably had something as mundane as piles but that doesn't suit the image they want to portray. Anyway its worked - here you are seemingly begging for privacy for a family who don't or care one iota about the existence of you or any of your relatives. Blue blood indeed - absolute nonsense as are the people bowing down to them.

So what do you think would have happened of the public knew she had cancer? In what way do you think a cancer diagnosis or a heart condition would have damaged the RF?

Comedycook · 29/01/2024 16:54

I'm very much in the camp which says if you're happy to take the riches and privilege you should also expect some degree of losing your privacy ....but that doesn't extend to medical information. They don't owe us that.

They'd have created awareness for checking and treatment of said cancer.

Serenster · 29/01/2024 17:21

I don’t think two people in their late 90s living with long term health conditions is quite going to give you the awareness you are looking for…

mitogoshi · 29/01/2024 17:30

I strongly suspect there's an entrance nobody knows about, and that's why nobody has been seen. The hospital have many high profile clients and protect their privacy

WolfFoxHare · 29/01/2024 19:23

It’s Occam’s Razor, isn’t it? What’s more likely? That a private hospital that caters for the rich and famous might have a separate back entrance, which Catherine’s parents, siblings, children and husband have used to visit her regularly, away from the prying eyes of the public and paparazzi? Or that the famously close Middleton family and her seemingly affectionate and loving husband all haven’t visited her more than once, or at all?

Not really a puzzler, is it.

spanieleyes · 29/01/2024 20:05

Given that she also managed to leave the hospital without being seen, I imagine a Star Trek style transporter is in place!

upinaballoon · 29/01/2024 20:13

User3563573 · 29/01/2024 09:36

It's interesting that the DM article today is Charles extending his stay "sparking concerns for his health" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13017323/King-Charles-extends-hospital-stay-recovers-prostate-surgery.html

The elephant in the room is that it's already day 14 after Kate's surgery and people are waiting for news of her discharge and recovery. Not a big believer in conspiracy theories but almost wondering if Charle's stay was deliberately extended to distract the press for another day, same as the coincidental timing of his surgery announcement.

New headline -

King walks out of hospital.

Well that's possible, a Star Gate portal might also work. More likely is Charles went out the front and distracted everyone while they got her out via the back door.

She won't be on here moaning about her FIL.

Their whole existence depends on speculation and perceived adoration.
They have a constitutional role, do public engagements and seem to have an agreement with the press/public that certain life things are shared in exchange for other things being left alone.

I'm not a royalist so my views aren't coming from a place of adoration. I think it's basic compassion for anyone not to have their healthcare and medical details shared beyond those who need to know and/or those close enough they want to share it with. I don't think it matters whether it's a member of the senior royal family or someone at work.

What I've found interesting and odd in this story is that there's people who are sincerely claiming that the absence of a stranger's health details being released is leaving them worried and troubled and deeply concerned.
Maybe that's why influencer advertising works so well, because there's a lot of people out there who are very susceptible to viewing a professional and transactional relationship as something much more intimate and personal.

I agree.

No one owes anyone their medical history.

We do, however, live in a time where oversharing on SM is normalised, where people make fortunes from sharing everything and anything and some of us lose sight of where healthy boundaries lie.

Here is a reminder to respect other people's boundaries.

Belinda5 · 29/01/2024 20:58

Exactly.

Anyhow, all's well that ends well. Kate is home, not lying in an induced coma somewhere and it's been proven that people can slip in and out of the hospital unseen so no reason to believe her husband and children haven't been visiting. Happy days!

Hildebrandthehog · 29/01/2024 22:44

I totally agree that everyone has a right to keep their medical history private BUT if we, representing the man or woman in the street, couldn’t do our job for some reason, we would have to give an explanation to our bosses, and co-workers would enquire and we would have to give them a certain amount of info, and we would have to offer proof in the form of medical certificates etc to HR etc.

Harsh as it is on the individual members of the RF, it’s a similar situation. Their employers are, in a sense, the tax payers of the UK, who pay for them, and they are accountable to them just as we are accountable to our bosses.

I dislike prurient speculation as much as anyone but the deal is that the RF represent the UK in the institution of the monarchy, they receive huge privileges for doing so, but at the same time, they inevitably have to put up with a certain degree of intrusion in to their private lives.
