It goes without saying its only her business, however I found it odd that whilst 'doomscrolling' from sleeplessness I came across a couple of posts from US news sites claiming they had news obtained from 'Palace sources' posted onto SM.

We all know that KP is somewhat leaky but over something like this? (I suppose Maybe if the price was right?)
Or is it just speculation passed off as the truth?
Or, are US news sources avowed to publish info that uk ones aren't?

I'm not particularly interested in what she's had done, surgery is unpleasant, full stop, But I'm just wondering if there's a reason the story is in US but not uk news-if it even real ( which seems slightly unlikely I would think, but then you never know about anyone personal life).
Just found out odd and curious as to the whys

Firstly I hope she is ok, at the end of the day she is a mother of three.

The palace routinely lie. Eg they never said the Queen had cancer or Philip had heart issues. IMO they declared that Kate did not have cancer for the children’s benefit. The kids and their classmates are able to read, they now know that their great grandmother died from cancer so the palace ms reassurances that Kate does not have cancer is solely for the children’s benefit.

I don’t know if people should be told. Probably not. In any event the palace spins whatever narrative they like so even if they did say, I doubt many would believe it. They ie the palace treat the public with disdain despite their immense wealth and privilege. It baffles me why the the royal family still exist in this day and age.

It's interesting that the DM article today is Charles extending his stay "sparking concerns for his health" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13017323/King-Charles-extends-hospital-stay-recovers-prostate-surgery.html

The elephant in the room is that it's already day 14 after Kate's surgery and people are waiting for news of her discharge and recovery. Not a big believer in conspiracy theories but almost wondering if Charle's stay was deliberately extended to distract the press for another day, same as the coincidental timing of his surgery announcement.

So you’re not a believer in conspiracy theories, but you think they would keep the actual King in hospital for an extra day to distract the press. Right 🙄

WinnieTheW0rm · 29/01/2024 09:42

As we've reached day 14, I expect there will be a statement, either today or tomorrow. Saying either that she is now convalescing at home, or giving a new timeline for her expected stay.

I think following prostate surgery, they keep you in until you can pee properly, and normal stay is 1 - 3 nights. So I think Charles is still within normal

It’s not 14 days. She was admitted on 17th. That’s 11 days

This is the man who arrived early to his own coronation because he was too impatient to wait for his son to leave, I don't think he'd have an extra night in hospital to distract the press!

Oh crap, sorry

So today is day 11 or 12 (depending on whether you have a day zero), so an announcement along the lines that she is now convalescing at home could come any time from now onwards, but need for one because she's in for longer than first expected would not be before Wed/Thurs - ish

Yes my mistake! She did have the surgery on the 16th though with the statement one day later. So it could be the 13th.

Noticed that in the Charles DM article is that they use present tense stating that Kate is still being treated for abdominal surgery in the London Clinic. Many people assumed she may have been discharged earlier to throw the public off (over the weekend would have made sense) but they seem they believe she's still there. There are many journalists who 100% know what's going on but have rightfully agreed not to report the details. So if they use present tense or state she's still in hospital then I'm inclined to believe that.

The statement which is dated 17th says she was admitted “yesterday”. So definitely 16th

The palace routinely protect the privacy of individual royal family member’s personal medical information, I think you mean.

No you seem to have misunderstood.
I said the palace routinely lies.

They are puppet masters manipulating the public continuously to ensure they remain in existence.

I have a bad feeling about this. I very much hope I am wrong. No sign of her parents or siblings either. Really hope there’s an announcement soon that she’s on the mend and back home.

Do you think she’s dead?! Surely if she was really ill there would be more visits not less. Perhaps she’s at home so the visits are being done by way of climbing the stairs and entering her bedroom.

upinaballoon · 28/01/2024 18:27

I don't know what a 'dripping' Jesus is, but I think it sounds like a piece of unacceptable blasphemy.

It’s like on Derry girls when they thought the statue of the Virgin Mary was crying and it was a dog having a wee.

Comedycook · 29/01/2024 11:56

I'd imagine the children have visited her in hospital but perhaps the press have agreed to not photograph them doing so?

StaunchMomma · 29/01/2024 12:02

Foreign press aren't always covered with the same restrictions as in the UK, like with the whole William affair and pegging debacle being printed elsewhere but not here.

Wellwhatalovelyday · 29/01/2024 12:05

the press are reporting that she’s left hospital. Phew.

Comedycook · 29/01/2024 12:05

I actually think it's quite concerning. I assumed when they said she'd be out in 14 days, they were over estimating and then if she was out in a shorter amount of time, the public would be reassured.

I really do hope she's ok...I bet her children are missing her a lot even if they have been to visit

Mylovelygreendress · 29/01/2024 12:07

She has returned home . Statement issued .

Comedycook · 29/01/2024 12:07

Posted too soon...yes I see she's left.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 29/01/2024 12:10

I wonder if some posters will be happier now, with the statement that she's left hospital.

Newchapterbeckons · 29/01/2024 12:10

Thank goodness!!!!!!’ What wonderful news. Her children will be delighted to have her safely home. It made me tearful reading that - I have had similar situations myself (maybe that’s why I have been so invested)

Mylovelygreendress · 29/01/2024 12:12

The fact that she has gone home without ( apparently) being photographed shows that it is possible to arrive and leave that hospital undetected .

Newchapterbeckons · 29/01/2024 12:12

I don’t know how that Spanish paper can get away with writing such awful lies, but thank heavens it’s just that.

It’s an outstanding hospital

GoldenGlidingTreeFrog · 29/01/2024 12:35

Great news and goes to show the arrival of people in front of the press pack is no indicator of who is coming and going from the hospital. I imagine that agreement was reached that William and Camilla would do a an official visit in front of the cameras on the basis that the family would be allowed to make far more private visits out of sight.
