They have a different Bible.

Not easier to understand, just their ‘version’ to fit their beliefs. They consider all other Bibles to be false.

@JanuaryJunipers If you compare with any other bible you can see the only difference is that they’ve translated it into easier to understand terminology (hence it being called ‘New World Translation’), so you won’t see any Thees & Thous, etc.
They’ve also kept in God’s name, whereas other versions have replaced it with titles Lord, Father, etc.
When they offer free bible studies they encourage people to use whatever bible they are comfortable with, as it demonstrates their version holds exactly the same scriptures.

Oh please. There are many, many translations that are in simple English and all will take theological positions in translation as yours does. Don’t be so naive.

They have not ‘kept in gods name’ but rather inserted it - especially in the New Testament. Not a single New Testament manuscript contains the name of god and for good reason - Jews had considered that gods name should not be spoken since early in the second temple period.

Finally ‘Jehovah’ is not the Jewish name for god but a name concocted by a Catholic monk less than 1000 years ago. The Jehovahs Witnesses leadership even acknowledge that this is the case and not how ancient hebrews would have pronounced it. Personally, if I wanted to use gods name and thought this was really important to my faith, I would want to get this name right.

If you would like a free bible study where sources other than coming from the witnesses are used to show how your beliefs are not consistent with the bible then I would be happy to have one with you. And if you agree to do that, sign up to my belief system but then change your mind afterwards I will even still talk to you and not think you are mentally diseased.
