I do think Princess Cabbage has a certain ring to it. Plus it's gender neutral, so it could be Prince Cabbage.

Mylovelygreendress · 15/01/2024 20:08

Whether you agree or not , it’s Royal protocol.

So a load of made up nonsense!

SoIdentifying · 15/01/2024 20:27

This is one of the craziest threads I have ever seen on here - so disrespectful to the late Queen.

In fact, I understand the Queen was so upset by the Sussexes' decision that she told aides: 'I don't own the palaces, I don't own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name. And now they've taken that.'

Even the most heartless people must surely find that sad… and don’t forget she was grieving at the time. Her husband who called her that had just died.

Oh please. We are now entering the realms of the truly ridiculous.

Yeah I like it but maybe it's a bit too agricultural for a royal?

@Maireas oh Gosh no not a Kevin 😂

We don't know his nickname though. Could be Kebbywebby....

CurlyhairedAssassin · 15/01/2024 20:29

DonnaDonna0 · 15/01/2024 20:15

The queen also made it very clear Camilla was to be queen consort not queen so seems Charles doesn’t bother so why should Harry and Megan care.

Well, Charles was always a foot-stomping spoiled little so and so.....

SoIdentifying · 15/01/2024 20:30

@Maireas I wonder what his Grandmother's pet name was?

EncantoSpice · 15/01/2024 20:31

Love that people are arguing simultaneously that it’s a beautiful tribute to a much loved grandmother but also F her she ain’t the boss of me she doesn’t own names I can call DD what I like and you can’t stop me old lady HAAA 🤟🏽

Mmm, they do love the countryside though, what with all the dogs and horses and whatever.

Dottie!

Made me laugh too. It's just so comically dramatic a scenario.

I'm not sure why people are disregarding this as vindictive nonsense because it's in the Daily Mail. Loads of press outlets are reporting it.

It gives them a chance to show their incredible wit of getting their m and f muddled up though.

Whenever I try it, it doesn’t work.

Muck omm faybe wouldn’t hit hofe with sofe om the mools here 🤷🏽‍♀️ 🥬 🌱

EncantoSpice · 15/01/2024 20:36

Don’t know why people are so nasty, maybe it means they’ve never lost anyone they loved… well lucky for you, but most people won’t begrudge them a little moan here and there!

Mylovelygreendress · 15/01/2024 20:36

SoIdentifying · 15/01/2024 20:20

Gosh I thought you were talking about Omid for a mo ..

He is not just a hack . He is a film/ documentary maker .

There are literally thousands of names they could have chosen.
Their behaviour was exploitative and abhorrent.

Maybe, just maybe, they actually LIKED the name. Wanted to keep a sense of heritage for their daughter. A nod of a tribute to QE2. Why NOT decide that they'd like to use that name?

Rockybooboo · 15/01/2024 20:37

Are they the same people making those points?

Mylovelygreendress · 15/01/2024 20:37

If they liked the name so much why not use it rather than make it clear she is to be called Lili ?

Maireas · 15/01/2024 20:38

I think they should rename that underground line the Lilibet Line. A bit friendlier.

Rockybooboo · 15/01/2024 20:40

Haha I think everyone has lost someone they love.

Amara123 · 15/01/2024 20:41

"I don't own the palaces...etc"

This has to be a joke. The RF are banking too much on the Harry/Meghan hatred and have totally jumped the shark. And using the alleged words of a woman who is dead and can't clarify.

LaurieStrode · 15/01/2024 20:41

EncantoSpice · 15/01/2024 16:35

If they were calling her Elizabeth or Lizzie or something I don’t think it would matter, but it was so personal - Harry himself wasn’t on “Lilibet” terms with the Queen! Plus them not being on good terms made it seem very cynical.

Exactly, @EncantoSpice

It was presumptuous, to hijack a name that her most intimates called her, a private and personal nickname.

Harry seems to have zero sense of decorum, privacy or appropriate conduct. I still can't believe that a man in the line of succession to the monarch thought it was in any way appropriate to publicize his loss of virginity, his frozen "todger" or other details that decent people confine to their most intimate circles, IF they tell anyone at all.
