I can imagine the Queen being privately upset as I read somewhere that she didn’t want to hear the name again as Prince Philip was the last person to call her it. Philip died only a few months before Lillibet was born so the name was everywhere within a few months. That was deliberately crass in the extreme and I can’t imagine Harry wasn’t aware of that that. H&M had already caused a shitstorm with their Oprah whinge fest while Philip was dying.

We all know who was in the driving seat of all this ‘poor me’ bollocks and they desperately needed the connection to the Queen herself to keep themselves relevant and I imagine she did distance herself after Oprah.

Actually yes that's a good point. Even if HM was do oetty that this was the eorst possible outrage her family had ever committed, yo publicise it when a person is attached to the name is not nice.
