Prince Andrew Was Lying (and Sweating) From The Start, Wasn't He?

So now we have it, the abject and in all likelihood criminal behaviour of Prince Andrew, still titled Duke of York and still eighth in the line of succession to the British throne, laid out for all to see.

Settled out of court as part of a grotesque cover-up.

Still denying knowing Virginia Giuffre, and presumably Johanna Sjoberg whose breast he allegedly fondled, who are undoubtedly the tip of the iceberg of the girls Prince Andrew and his paedo friend Jeffrey Epstein abused.

Still protected by Buckingham Palace who have gone out of their way to state the accusations as "categorically untrue", as if anyone believes them.

Still supported by the British Royal Family who seem desperate to "rehabilitate him" (and his grifter ex-wife), still living in a Royal Palace presumably at taxpayers expense (i.e. Grifter in Chief), still prancing around at official functions, still oozing a sense of arrogant entitlement, with no-one including King Charles having any sense of courage or moral rectitude to deliver to make him face the consequences of his repugnant actions.

Still being defended by the royal palaces briefing operations and the British media, and by those at ease with shameful double standards on various boards, including this one, who are happy spending their time posting 100'000+ messages a year attacking Meghan and Harry while turning a blind eye to a likely real criminal.

No amount of covering-up will ever rehabilitate Prince Andrew. All it'll do is drag the royal family further down in the esteem of folks with any sense of decency.

I have no time for Andrew or Sarah ( although I sympathise with her cancer diagnosis having gone through it myself) however it was a private event . Attendees were there because the Greek RF invited them .

We're actually talking about Sarah hugging and giving sympathetic pats on the arm to Christian Horner who has been involved in extremely sleazy behaviour. She flew to Bahrain to obviously make a point of this

OK but the memorial service has also been referred to so not irrelevant. The Grand Prix was another private event .
I don’t agree with A and S’s actions but not sure what - if anything- the RF can do about them attending non official events .
I do think their titles should be removed . I also think the same about H and M . All 4 shamelessly trade on them.

Roussette · 05/03/2024 14:19

Personally I think this has nothing to do with titles and all to do with having the audacity to go out of her way to show public support to a man accused of dodgy behaviour. But as she talks of her ex as a giant of a man and very principled and honourable, there's no hope for her and Andrew
It's a farce

meercat23 · 05/03/2024 14:28

I think it was me that linked Roussette's point about SF at the F1 event with the memorial service. I accept that the service was a private event and they were invited by the family. I have no problem with that. Their demeanour when walking into that service was what I was referring to when I mentioned that it had been badly received. Apart from anything else the grinning and strutting did not come across as appropriate to the occasion and surely it should have been the Greek family members that were front and centre?

Mylovelygreendress · 05/03/2024 14:34

I don’t disagree @meercat23 however not sure what can be done . A and S are arrogant and thick skinned 🤷‍♀️

PassifloraEvangelist · 05/03/2024 15:15

Roussette · 05/03/2024 13:01

What I don't understand is this....

Surely Sarah knows that hugging a man who has been accused of grubby behaviour is not going to help her cause or her ex husband's in any way at all and in fact will just be greatly criticised

She must be totally thick, stupid and unaware

She obviously doesn’t think it’s grubby behaviour.
Eugenie must share her opinion. Which tells us a lot.

Only Parliament has the power to remove royal titles, but it doesn't have the power to decide if Andrew is guilty of any crime, only the Courts can decide that. Therefore since PA hasn't been charged or convicted, in the eyes of the UK government he's innocent so don't think they can do anything.

Mark and Zara Tindell were there as well as other minor royals, although they were wise enough to not be photographed with CH. The trip was I expect arranged before the scandal came out.

PassifloraEvangelist · 05/03/2024 17:36

Yes the trip would have been arranged in advance. Clearly SF was trying to convey her sympathy for him and Eugenie was happy to hug him. The others had more sense.

CathyorClaire · 05/03/2024 20:49

It's an interesting one. And odd.

Do the royals have form for Grand Prix love? I've always been under the impression they preferred the cruelty of racing nags to racing cars.

Do they imagine a destination jolly with all the attendant upbeat pix at the end of a grey UK winter is great PR?

Who provided the PJ to a slew of incidentals and why?

Bizarre.

Atethehalloweenchocs · 05/03/2024 22:56

...or just so arrogant that she thinks she is untouchable. I was wondering if they realised at all just how badly their grinning swaggering walk into that memorial service had been received but if SF had any such awareness surely she would be keeping her head down not courting the limelight wherever she can find it?

Re: arrogance - do you remember the interview she did (I think it was an Australian journalist) who asked her something she did not want, and she demanded they stop filming and that bit was not to be shown. I have seen it on a bunch of clip shows since, so defeated the purpose of what she wanted, but it smacked of speaking down to the little people.

None of them have an over abundance of brains.

If it wasn't for the CH scandal, would we have even known the royals had gone to Bahrain, possibly not.

I have seen photos of Beatrice at the Grand Prix a few times . Also Harry .

ThePoshUns · 06/03/2024 07:56

Well of course, they all love a freebie. SF is as authentic as her spitting image puppet.
The RF have been trying to groom Eugenie as a new , working, younger royal . Her mother and attending the GP do her no favours at all.

Eugenie is an associate director for a contemporary art gallery. She has her own career, why would she give that up to be a working royal.

That's interesting.

Just a cursory google shows all the Yorks plus the hanger-on hubbies seem to be regulars at the Bahrain GP.

No doubt Harold would go slug racing if it involved a trip on someone else's private jet but there doesn't seem to be any history of the rest of them attending .

The round jet trip alone cost £250k. Wonder who's paying. And why.

PassifloraEvangelist · 06/03/2024 10:11

The Tindalls were there too.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 06/03/2024 10:17

The £1.4 million frrom the ghastly Selman Turk is rehashed old news, but this is why I'm always surprised when folk maintain nobody will touch Andrew now

It seems to me to miss the point that there are plenty of people like him out there, and that some of them will regard a "RF connection" - however tenuous - as worth having

CathyorClaire · 06/03/2024 10:18

The Tindalls were there too.

Yep. And Pete joined the group as well although I don't think he was on the jet.

It's all so odd. Something's up 🤓

This is the same bloke who won a questionable award at A's discredited Pitch@Palace and who got to kick round a Crown estate owned Mayfair flat with no evidence of rental payments being made.

Good sleuthing @CathyorClaire

And I believe Turk was the one who gave one of the daughters some hugely expensive diamond necklace. It might have been him or it might have been someone else but either way it was someone dodgy

Not defending in any way but is this not old news ? 2019/20 ?

To give a more balanced view PA and SF paid the money back that was given to them. They are not being investigated for any wrongdoing in connection with this. Wasn't the necklace a wedding present?
