Yes, it was a payment to help them transition to their new life. Paid between 4 and 6 months after they left and were in Canada, and then in the us.

they lied. They said they’d been left with nothing, they were not, they were full supported. It’s all detailed in the royal accounts.

as the public we know they told lies and twisted the truth to suit their narrative. But Charles knows all the lies. He knows his son and wife are lying to the public about them. That must be awful as a parent. you can’t trust anything they said. For example in Oprah when they both gave different versions of the skin comment. Was Harry just backing Megan up, is that why he gave a different version, did it ever even happen? Did he really kill 59 afghans? You can’t really trust it, as they have lied so much.

both of them have lied to the public so much, a Netflix employee said they had to correlate their docu series against the book, and reshoot segments, or not use others, as they had given totally different accounts on both, and it was so glaring, both versions couldn’t be the truth and would be immediately noticed.

and both of them do it. Both of them lie. It’s much more severe than the public realise I think , and Charles knows the extent of what they have done.

Who owns the out takes of the Netflix show? Because that would bring in the audiences.

£90k is always outrageous for one item other than perhaps a wedding dress.
It doesn’t matter if other items are equally expensive, it’s still insane. If you have pretty much infinite money and want to pay that much then knock yourself out but with a budget that runs a real risk of running out in a few years it’s a foolish choice.

Agree of course it’s outrageous, and I suspect as she blew nearly half a million on clothes in her first year it’s why Charles told them to pay for their own clothes. Which they then whinged about,

The depiction of him in Netflix is hideous and he comes across as a whinging brat with a nasty petulant edge
I can’t understand how he can work with Netflix anymore - he can’t sue them as it’s a drama

The worst bit is he said he enjoyed watching it so he has endorsed it from his own mouth

I honestly think both of them have signficant issues. People don’t tell huge lies that can be easily disproven normally. Not repeatedly and very publicly,

megan seems to do it for attention, to create drama, to portray herself a certain way. Which can differ depending on the situation,,,successful, a victim, whatever, Harry I think does it for much more complex reasons. Resentment,spite, envy, bigging himself up.

they then back each other up in their lies. They obviously know they are lying, that the other is lying, and they support each other in it without blinking.

if my husband was outright lying I’d be side eying him, and would be concerned, I’d speak to him about it. I’d be really concerned if he was telling huge lies, twisting the truth, and repeatedly. I’d not be backing him up and joining in and telling my own.

I undersgand Megan has previous for it. As does Harry. They both do this and fully accept it in the other.

I agree that haute couture is expensive ( well out of my price range!) but I frequently thought that Meghan’s clothes didn’t fit properly. Even her daytime wedding dress looked like it needed another fitting .

If we separate it out - I agree Meghan does not have the funds for haute couture.

Haute Couture is made to measure hand stitched clothing. The skill and hours of work by the seamstress, pattern makers & cutters is astonishing and they deserve a fair rate of pay. I appreciate the beauty, art and skill of haute couture and understand why the cost is so high.

I understand why people need cheap mass produced clothes but it always shocks me that many people don't actually think through how little people are paid in producing a £5 T-shirt. It’s the same with food and not thinking about the production.

Shocks me more those that pay £100+ for s tee shirt and don't realise that the people producing it get the same as when it is a £5 one. But this is a big pivot.

All quiet on the Endgame front.

I had never seen the Morocco Dior dress either and had to google it. I'm guessing there is a hint of the local area/heritage style in that. It's really not very flattering although it was when she was pregnant and she carries a lot of weight on her face when pregnant. I don't like the shoulder wrap thing that was going on either.

@RecoIIectionsMayVary I was specifically talking about haute couture where it definitely costs more than £5 to produce a hand sewn T-shirt which is what Meghan was aspiring to with a £90k dress.

@Cosywintertime There are three different version of when meghans miscarriage occurred. I find it so odd anyone would misremember the awful experience of losing a much wanted baby. So sad for her but I think the couples attitude to truth telling weighs so heavily against them. Just why exaggerate so much and twist a narrative to suit your agenda? The truth always comes out eventually. This couple could have achieved their dream in America of wealth and philanthropy and been happy there. I simply don't get it. Their collaboration with Omid in both books (ridiculous to suggest otherwise) has backfired against them, with the intended target of the racism row (Catherine) now more popular than before.

I think it's fair to say with appalling book sales, this has bombed for the trio in every way and Meghan will be lucky to stay with WME after this. I hope in the new year H&M will regroup, look at their options, concentrate their efforts on what's important to them and stop attacking the RF. I think reconciliation is out of the question for now as they are so untrustworthy and I hope Harry and Charles find a way to communicate safely, but it won't be any time soon.

I agree with you fully, the only thought that occurs to me, is after every single disaster, we all say, we hope they regroup, look at their options and stop attacking the royals. And they just keep doing it. This time they tried to hide behind scobie to do it. But do it they did.

trying to get invited to sandringham for Xmas. One can only assume for the publicity and not to build bridges. Otherwise you’d pick a less sensitive time and do it privately.

The protocol for the Sandringham Christmas under QEII’s reign was for the minor members of the RD to arrive first, ie the Tindalls, Phillipses, Princess Margaret’s children & GC, then Anne, Edward (where’s Andre in this?) then Charles & co, then when everyone was assembled it was time for HMTQ & DoE to arrive.

Hmm I’m not sure about that. Properly fitted clothes (as in individually fitted to your body) should not feel restrictive in any way. There is a difference between deliberately loose and baggy, and ill fitting. Sometime what Meghan has worn has been ill fitting, like the red dress with the strange pointy boob thing going on

I keep seeing “not even invited” about this event. This is a weird take. Maybe it’s just different between UK and US. Awards ceremonies for philanthropic awards here in US are usually massive fundraisers themselves. It’s not a typical invitation, it’s an invitation to make a major contribution, buy a ticket or buy a table. Often they do this by honoring people you’ll feel obligated to come see get the award.

This isn’t like a glamorous trip to the Oscars. An invitation isn’t sought after or indication of your own popularity; it’s about how much money they think they can get out of you.

No, there is no difference between uk and USA, I think maybe you’re not aware of what power of women event is.

it is invite only, you cannot buy access, it is a network of very powerful women who attend. It’s like saying you can buy a table at the g7 summit. You can’t. It is not an awards ceremony as you are thinking of it. It is a very different animal. She blagged an invite as a plus one to one of her agency leads.

Do we know who she actually tagged along with? I don't see her appearance or behaviour on the night as desperation but more something she was used to doing as an actor in a previous life - do we know that she was playing the room for photo opportunities or was she just in the right places at the right time? As to the Morocco Dior dress, I thought it was gorgeous but was too unforgiving round the tummy - being proud to be pregnant is one thing but there were some odd lumps and bumps going on. A stunning dress though.
