Going back to the various people that were put forward to help Meghan navigate her way in the Royal family, if she turned them all down because she said"I had Harry". That didn't exactly work out well for her did it. Harry has been as helpful to her as a chocolate teapot.

Meghan kept a journal/diary during her short time as a working royal. I think she wanted to fill it with little snippets of information and conversations with Catherine and/or The Queen, which could have happened if they were the ones helping her. If her plan was to write a book, she would know that nobody's interested in the opinions or small talk of Susan Hussey or The Queen's equerry.

I’m really stuck on how deeply offensive it is to have assumed the offer of the assistance of this highly accomplished gentleman was only about the color of his skin. The language “stuck out like a sore thumb” is wretched. Scobie should be ashamed.

The comparison to what Catherine may have been offered by her friend is so telling. Embarrassing! I’m sure Catherine was not offered the level of assistance that Meghan apparently declined. Which is it? They offered no help or they offered too much?

Wonder when exactly on the timeline this happened.

Couldn't she have asked Harry what an equerry is? although he sounds utterly clueless about the family and the institution he's grown up in.

That’s a bit pathetic to release their video less than 24hrs after W&K release theirs, it doesn’t exactly disprove the arguement of “everything Kate can do, we can do better”.

There’s an awful lot of Meghan Markle featured face-on, center-screen in that video, looking benevolent and saintly (some might say Diana-like). Harry marginal, everyone else definitely supporting actors. <shudder>. It’s like the charitable works (such as they are) are there to lift her/them, rather than the other way round.

And, did they really include Uvalde??! Holy mackerel. She’s got skin as thick as a rhino!

They actually wanted their wedding in Westminster Abbey. Or St Paul’s . But were told no . And they wanted to live in Windsor Castle . No.
And Harry wanted William to split the Duchy income with him . Again , no .
Clearly all these knockbacks have festered within him .

Interesting contrast between the exceptionally slick and über-flattering shots included in M&H's no-doubt very expensively produced video, vs. the natural and unpretentious one of Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis all mucking in together.

I agree with you @AliceOlive . OS has shown some utterly disgusting racism in his writing about this gentleman. This is a man who would have been working his way up the ranks and into the most trusted position beside the Queen for a long time before anyone gave a damn about who MM was. He was by the Queen's side because he was good at his job and she trusted him. Scobie has to attack him, because his existence belies Scobie's claims about the RF being inherently racist. There's some implication that the Palace just wheeled out the black man when the black woman arrived. As if they'd spent 20 years preparing on the off chance for the arrival of a black fiancé If MM simply did not want an equerry, well more fool her, but that's her (stupid) decision. If she didn't want him because he happens to be black, then she's also a complete racist.

I think they are still competing, it’s really distasteful. And odd, as now it’s all in their own heads. No one is competing with them.

Those photos are why I’m surprised she included Uvalde (it is “she”, as he had nothing to do with it from the public’s pov). She got a massive pasting in the US when those shots circulated. Matthew McConnaughy is from Uvalde, went to school there. He was very judicious in his commentary of her when he visited some days after her. Gotta make sure she looks humble in this unobscured shots!

Just who is helping who in that scenario? To me, it looks like murdered children being used by Meghan Markle for personal publicity.

I agree, when the wales do something they highlight the cause, this video though highlights no cause, they are simply highlighting themselves. I’m not sure they understand the difference though,

I was no clearer on what they've been doing or the focus of their work after watching it. Visual word salad.

By any measure, Lt Col Twumasi-Ankrah appears to be a most impressive man. Meghan could have learned a lot from him, I think
