Can the public appeal to the home office to ban their super eco friendly borrowed private jets from landing in the UK - not for our benefit, but to save their feelings in case yet another family member offends them Hmm

😁

HeddaGarbled · 08/12/2023 23:43

*Prince Harry is not the brightest spark in the box,

He openly makes a remark about killing so many taliban, or something whilst fighting in Afghanistan 🇦🇫 previously,

his stupidity is quite unnerving he is putting himself at risk there,

Now he is asking for round the clock or near security, 🤔

what a clown 🤡 he is*

Well, you’re not quite so on the ball, either.

Your second accusation isn’t quite right, and the two things didn’t happen in that order.

I get this is the ‘Harry’s a twat’ thread but it’d be good not to make things up in your eagerness to join in.

Surely it’s understandable that wanting your children to grow up understanding the culture of your home country by visiting regularly is a completely separate thing to the relationship you have with your family? Harry doesn’t necessarily have to stay with family when he’s over here. He can’t now anyway they have removed his house from them!

Imagine being the monarch and having twelve houses or estates that you can stay in and not allowing your son and his family even one? Pretty shoddy if you ask me.

Yeah but Harry is a complete knob who has dissed his whole family.

What I cannot comprehend is why Harry and his legal team chose the judicial review of all the articles they could have for a legal case against the daily mail. Whilst the judicial review is deliberating he has now of his own making highlighted he or his sources spun the story to attract the most positive public opinions. It’s one thing for newspapers to gossip it’s another for a judge to highlight the spinning in legal documents. Why would you do that to yourself and why wouldn’t the most expensive lawyer point the stupidity out.

Lawyers act as instructed so long as it isn't not illegal, afaik. So perhaps they did point out the stupidity and Harry ignored them.

Viviennemary · 09/12/2023 00:19

The pair are hardly renowned for taking on board advice even when given by experts. They know best.

MaryWhitehouseisCOOL · 09/12/2023 00:21

They will fade away into obscurity soon, the RL will keep their distance and not give them the fuel they need.

I imagine the RF will be rarely thinking about them now. There is nothing else to say.

I feel sorry for them

Sussurations · 09/12/2023 06:33

The comment about Harry not being well (I agree) triggered a memory about discussions on here, soon after they left the UK, about Harry stopping taking antidepressant medication.

Does anyone remember this? I don’t know what it was based on - it might just have been speculation.

cerisepanther73 · 09/12/2023 06:42

@HeddaGarbled

No i didn't make it up, i read all kinds of newspapers often and look up quite regularly social media and news online ,
Just like other people do aswell,

Please don't insult my intelligence thanks

I'm sure that is utter speculation. Very little is ever said about health, though H has spoken of struggles and counselling, but not medication (IIRC, happy to be corrected if it has come up in Spare, Finding Freedom or an interview)

However, his MH is not really relevant to the JR into RAVEC decision making (might be to his case against The Mail, which is much more about his judgement and spin-doctoring, though I don't quite see how it would help his position)

cerisepanther73 · 09/12/2023 07:06

@HeddaGarbled

If you are big fan of Prince Harry and Princes Meghan thats fine OK too?,

it be boring world if everyone thought the same way too,

i am just telling it as it is,
careless words that he says obviously have the potential to put him at a higher risk,

"in his eagerness to prove how stereotypical male he was, and how good he was being a former soldier for Queen and country,

he stupidity opened his mouth and bragged about mentioned about how many quotas of Taliban men he killed,

which in Army close -knit circles you are susposed to keep quiet about stuff like that, and never say anything to outsiders world of army life,

I used to be a fan of certain members of Royal family years ago, but have become jaded about them in recent years,

such as hypocrisy of Prince Harry and Princess Meghan, on highlighting climate issues, they swan around on private planes to see their friends in high places events ,
It's well known that private planes are bad for the environment,
but if you point out their hypocrisy such as that,
you are accused of racism,

of course if anyone including themselves speak out on issues like that or anything else,
people are going to Judge them on whether their lifestyle fits into their environmental ethics,

Also they wax lyrical about how they wanted to escape the intense intrustive claustrophobic glare of media spotlight in their lives and have a more natural normal lives like everyone else has,
totally understand them,
but then why on the other hand sell your life story book, and do a series of Netflix high profile talks and other high profile controversial talks with Opraph Winfrey and bring out hawk flog yet another life story, another controversial book on the theme of Race again ?

Got to laugh they have quite funny quirky sense of the idea Obscurity, !

i guess i have grown out of all the media nonsense of how gushingly wonderful they are ad nauseum,

it amazes me in the 21 Centuary, we still bow to them, like they are better than us,

Sussurations · 09/12/2023 07:08

You’re probably right and it was just speculation. I don’t think he has talked about prescription drugs.

cerisepanther73 · 09/12/2023 07:18

@HeddaGarbled

I am waiting to hear your reply to my recent post..
🙄

I tell you something else, people like yourself make me laugh 😃 too,

who get so worked up on mumsnet, about obviously over privileged people such as Prince Harry and Princess Meghan and you don't even know them..

Perfectlystill · 09/12/2023 07:26

My brother has worked very closely at the top of the RF for years and Harry is as awful as we have heard, and then some.

Spoilt, entitled, thick brat.

He only offered to pay for his security after he'd been rumbled.

mpsw · 09/12/2023 07:26

I'm not persuaded that his ill-advised (in comparison to the 2013 version) about his time in Afghanistan are relevant to the RAVEC JR, as that came considerably after the decision that is being reviewed.

The case isn't about his conduct (whether hypocritical or not) but whether RAVEC, a public body, is working correctly and to an adequate standard, specifically how they handled the decision they made in 2020 about the Sussexes, but if the JR shows they need to change practices in order to reach a sufficient assurance of adequacy, then every decision they have made recently will need to be reviewed in accordance with the new standards.

The offer of payment did not go to JR (permission denied)

Theis RAVEC JR is about the soundness of the decision making

The "spinning" libel case against the Mail relation to how the offer to pay was portrayed, and when, is a separate case. The ruling yesterday is that it will go to trial, but I 've no idea when. Does anyone know, or know how long it would usually take for a date to be set?

cerisepanther73 · 09/12/2023 07:34

@Perfectlystill

you've posted a very interesting 🤔 post on Prince Harry , and i can amagine him being like that behind closed doors too,

I think the Royal Family, the Firm must have had in the past shit 🔥 hot good Public relations personnel, to make certain members of the Royal family look good come across to the public eye.

cerisepanther73 · 09/12/2023 07:38

@Perfectlystill

Whats his wife Princes attention seeker like too then?

I am sure you have got few or some insightful pretty interesting anecdotes on her too. 😄

The plot thickens.

As ever, paywalled articles can be read by dropping the URL into archive.ph (and using flight mode sometimes works).

Interesting - suggests strongly that the late Queen's Private Secretary attended the meetings to argue for more security for the Sussexes that would normally have been granted, and that that was the origin of the "bespoke" arrangement

I have posted on here many times ( under various names) i have a family member that works for the RF and i can concur that you are indeed correct! He is and always has been a vile, spoilt brat! Its only been brought into the public domain because of his marriage to Meghan who encouraged it! Don't expect people to believe you on here though @Perfectlystill because they simply can't handle the fact that the media is in fact telling the truth about H and M behaviour!!

AuroraCake · 09/12/2023 07:44

So they were actually helping him, or trying to. Opps. Harry is just….

He was a child when his mother died and I guess got everything he wanted after that and unfortunately combined with his personality this didn’t go well. Charles doesn’t strike me as someone who would have wanted to have the difficult conversations with his children. People pleasing, guilt. So the monster probably got bigger. He does seem to have maned up now though.

Perfectlystill · 09/12/2023 07:48

I'm afraid I don't have any good stories as he is usually very discreet annoyingly, but over the years he has once or twice acknowledged that Harry (and Meghan) are awful and spoilt and universally disliked as the stories that we've heard about them are true.

Cosywintertime · 09/12/2023 09:48

I actually wonder if they both suffer from narcissistic personality disorder. So much of both of their behaviour is very symptomatic of it. And that’s why it went wrong, they both suffer from it, and then when they met, it was catastrophic, they simply validated each others feelings.

they clearly demonstrate many of the classic symptoms, from grandiose ideas of their own importance, a sense of superiority, bragging of their achievements, a feeling of the rules don’t apply to them, lack of empathy for others, maniupulative behaviour, a sense of entitlement, a need for admiration, envy of others or feel others envy them.

i do wonder if this was a situation where two people with the same mental health issue, met..

But they are safe.

They've been out of the royal family for 4 years without any security issues that I'm aware of.

Obviously, his security arrangements outside of the United Kingdom are not a matter of concern for the British authorities. And when he does visit the country, his needs will be reviewed on a case by case basis and any security deemed necessary will be provided. I do not understand how anyone can consider that anything other than fair and reasonable.

Harry is 5th in line and hasn't held an official role for nearly 4 years. He now works as a CHIMPO in California. Obviously none of us are privy to security assessments, but that's the same for any public figure. It seems grandiose for him to expect round the clock high level security paid for by the British taxpayer.
