Can someone explain to me the procedure and how this works?

This is about how the Mail reported on his Ravec challenge, regarding when and why H offered to pay himself for security. Judge's comments are interesting.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/dec/08/prince-harry-loses-legal-bid-to-throw-out-mail-on-sunday-publishers-libel-defence

Oooofff.

Those judges comments are pretty to the point. 😬

Viviennemary · 08/12/2023 14:42

How on earth has the mail labelled him over the article on his security. What a sneaky worm he is looking.

Viviennemary · 08/12/2023 15:43

Libelled that should be. Though labelled probably true too!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/12/2023 19:20

@Viviennemary apparently Harry insists that the article was “an attack on his honesty and integrity"

Strange that he should still claim to have either of these, but there you go

AutumnCrow · 08/12/2023 19:23

Well, it's been a funny old day on the royal beat.

pilates · 08/12/2023 19:24

A positive day for the Royals not so much for H&M

@Sheepskinthrow Do you believe he would not be allowed to stay in any of the crown accommodations when he visits the UK?

They’ll grudgingly find him somewhere I imagine but it’s not quite the same as having your own house is it? It’s not like they have somewhere in the uk they can call home. And yet they house Andrew the alleged sex offender.

And … what has happened to “slimming down” the monarchy? It only seems to apply to Harry’s property. Funny that!

Maireas · 08/12/2023 19:29

Mylovelygreendress · 07/12/2023 16:38

I can’t believe Harry is persisting with the nonsense that he was forced to leave . We all remember the grandiose statement announcing their half in/ half out plans.,

"To carve out a progressive new role"

AutumnCrow · 08/12/2023 19:38

Maireas · 08/12/2023 19:29

"To carve out a progressive new role"

Oh yeah.

... we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.

It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

Maireas · 08/12/2023 19:44

Yes, I never knew who they were talking about when they said your encouragement?
I had to laugh at them saying they still wanted to "collaborate with the Queen" 😆

Of course he will be given accommodation however he has to give notice and it would seem he objects to that .

I don’t remember much supporting of HMTQ more stabbing in the back

I had to laugh at them saying they still wanted to "collaborate with the Queen"

On a par with the later puff about wanting to make sure she had the 'right people' around her.

I've always thought that was a swipe at Golden Child Andy but the endlessly reported close relationship with whichever one of the interchangeable York sisters it is might put that one to bed.

parksandrecs · 08/12/2023 20:57

Yes, that was very weird and quite delusional!

Yes it was very disrespectful and a prime example of huge arrogance.

Vespanest · 08/12/2023 21:42

I never understand the comments on Andrew with Charles paying for him. The reality is, if he moved out of royal residence the police/home office would have to protect him in some way at the tax payers expense because there is tangible threats to him and whether we like it or not the police can’t ignore that because he’s a shit. Just as the police/home office still do case to case reviews for Harry even though he has left the country and resigned as a senior royal.

DinoDays · 08/12/2023 22:07

Jesus Christ. How many courts cases has he got going on. 3?

parksandrecs · 08/12/2023 22:08

4, I think? Difficult to keep track

parksandrecs · 08/12/2023 22:12

Of course the police would need to respond to any threat to Andrew if he left the royal estate and publically went out and about - if there was any evidence of a threat

Having a member of the RF assassinated wouldn't be a good look.

Same for Harry.

Which is why it is reviewed on a case by case basis

JR into the RAVEC decision (underway)

Libel v Daily Mail (around spinning icw the RAVEC case, announced today it will be going to trial)

Phone hacking case v MGM

Can't remember if there are any others ongoing

Once again for the hard of thinking - he felt forced to leave because Palace officials and his own family were passing stories onto newspapers about him and his wife, in exchange for positive stories about them (the leakers). That was, understandably, affecting his and his wife's mental health.

@pilates
Prince Harry is not the brightest spark in the box,

He openly makes a remark about killing so many taliban, or something whilst fighting in Afghanistan 🇦🇫 previously,

his stupidity is quite unnerving he is putting himself at risk there,

Now he is asking for round the clock or near security, 🤔

what a clown 🤡 he is,

SkyFullofStars1975 · 08/12/2023 23:00

Can the public appeal to the home office to ban their super eco friendly borrowed private jets from landing in the UK - not for our benefit, but to save their feelings in case yet another family member offends them Hmm

DinoDays · 08/12/2023 23:06

OMG, if anyone needed further proof this man needs an intervention!

He's not well at all is he? :(

It is one of four cases that the 39-year-old prince, who now lives in California with his wife Meghan and their two children, is pursuing at the High Court against British publishers.

So is it 4 High Court cases and a JR?
