I thought I was able to recognise racism, and I’ve been very shocked at how naive I am about antisemitism. I’m always looking to learn.

How come noone has ever considered the possibility that the "concerns" and "discussions" might well have been about how the press would react, and the social media trolls? Especially given all the nasty and overtly racist stories when H&M got together? I can absolutely see that conversation being had in terms of how to handle any press negativity, and then Chinese whispers (sure there must be a less offensive term!) and lack of context leading to things getting misunderstood and/or totally twisted out of shape.

It’s hard to believe it was said in a chatty, friendly musing sort of way when they don’t seem to have been a close family to have that sort of musing conversations. But we’ll probably never know.
