So who are the 2 royals who commented on Archie's skin now that Piers Morgan has named them on live tv

There is an awful lot of "my best friend is black- I understand racism!" on here.

Meghan displays a lot of narcissistic traits and jealousy would absolutely fit into there. It's completely irrelevant what the person already has (eg normal people might rationalise she can't be jealous because she's also a stunningly beautiful woman but narc minds simply do not work that way). It seems like their final revenge to paint Kate as a racist in the world press. I have a feeling W&K knew this would all be coming out at some point, hence the extremely strained contact with Harry over the past few years.

Scobie has followed the royal family for years. He had access to them and their entourage.

Theunamedcat · 30/11/2023 06:31

All the extracts seem to be one long attack on Kate specifically it doesn't suprise me that she has been "accidentally" named and Charles has cut them off financially so it's not much of a reach that he would be named either

HowAmYa · 30/11/2023 06:36

I dont get how it's racist.
Dp and I have often spoken about what our future children would look like as they will also be mixed. As have extended members of our families. Like who cares. It's curiosity. Its a problem if it's implied in a negative manner which I find it hard to believe that King C and Princess K did
M and H fucked off to America because M is too sensitive to be part of British culture.

Severus Snape

If you postulate that Harry has loved Kate all along, then everything else falls in to place

All his girlfriends have been vivacious feisty young women. None of them have been prepared to tow the line or have been interested in the royal power plays as she seems to be. So I would surmise that Kate is not his type. And I don’t blame him.

Idk about Catherine. I have read on here Harry had a thing for Pippa Middleton for quite a while. She doesn’t seem to be the vivacious, feisty type either. But I don’t follow all this stuff.

TodayInahurry · 30/11/2023 06:50

Why do anyone believe anything that comes out of this book of rehashed and made up lies?

dmango · 30/11/2023 06:51

I think that if the couple involved found the remarks offensive then who are we to question?! I come from a mixed race family and we have had those ponderings but in the safe space of loving and respectful relationships.

Also the double standard of Catherine telling Meghan she didn’t know her well enough to talk about her hormones but it’s perfectly fine for her to comment on a baby’s possible skin colour, I think I’d find that a bit much too.

ThePoshUns · 30/11/2023 06:51

caringcarer · 29/11/2023 22:14

I don't believe either King Charles or Princess Catherine are racists. I think Meghan hated Princess Catherine so much she'd say anything to get her discredited if she could.

This exactly.
The only ones that look bad in this whole scenario are MM, PH and OS.
I don't think the royals have much to worry about. Now it's finally out there, the whole thing will blow over and PH and MM will never now be welcome back. Win, win.

ThePoshUns · 30/11/2023 06:55

Blinky21 · 29/11/2023 22:34

There's a proud history of racism in our Royal Family

Yes PHs racism has been well documented over the years.

CurlewKate · 30/11/2023 06:58

@HowAmYa "M and H fucked off to America because M is too sensitive to be part of British culture."
Ah yes. British culture. "Lighten up, love. It's only banter. Can't you take a joke?"

themessygarden · 30/11/2023 06:58

' so they can be seen as "survivors" rather than "failures".

That's one of the best and most plausible explanations I have heard so far for why they are so vengeful.

Theydontknowthatweknowthattheyknow · 30/11/2023 07:00

Does it matter who supposedly said what? I'm not a royalist but I've followed it enough to know that you PH/MM present as textbook narcisists and you can't believe a word they say. Why are they even still being given airtime?

HowAmYa · 30/11/2023 07:02

My apologies that remark was nothing to do with the 'racism scandal' and more a general pop at her attitude towards the British.
I'm mortified that's how it came across!

Kdtym10 · 30/11/2023 07:02

But this was not a racist comment. I bet they also wondered whose nose the kid would have, what colour hair. Whether the kid would have any brains? Whether it would be a narcissist.

One thing is for certain. There will be no way back into the RF for either now.

jesterdourt · 30/11/2023 07:02

I think the RF is a soap opera, and of doubtful value

But the panto villains & family rows do keep them in the press. Look at stories like this vs some charity work, far more coverage for the fallout. It’s all clickbait & for many their personal soup opera, who needs Eastenders!

Lampzade · 30/11/2023 07:03

Time4the · 29/11/2023 22:19

I think Meghan is so insanely jealous of Kate she’d say anything.

I actually think it is the other way round tbh.

Andarna · 30/11/2023 07:03

FlowerBarrow · 29/11/2023 22:48

M&H already said in the first place that comments weren’t racist, the comments were never described as “concerns” either. The media has done a top job of making something out of nothing in this case.

There were also plenty of articles at the time covering cultural differences between UK/US on this type of thing as well eg I wonder if baby will have lighter skin like Harry or darker skin like Meghan. In the UK this is an absolutely normal and non racist question, like wondering if a baby will have curly hair or blue eyes.

So why did they accept an award for it then?

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 30/11/2023 07:04

Grey rock grey rock.

Only thing to do with this pair I think.

Were either Meghan or Harry present when this alleged conversation took place? Second hand and you can get nuances wrong. Otherwise all hearsay.

CurlewKate · 30/11/2023 07:05

@Kdtym10 "But this was not a racist comment"

Oh good. Clarity at last. What was actually said?

Freakinfraser · 30/11/2023 07:07

Lampzade · 30/11/2023 07:03

I actually think it is the other way round tbh.

That doesn’t make sense does it. What would she be jealous of Meghan for, being on suits? Being infamous? Marrying the spare? Can’t see it myself. And it’s not Kate on the attack.

dmango · 30/11/2023 06:51

That’s not what Kate is accused of, you need to read the paragraph, it is very vague indeed.

milveycrohn · 30/11/2023 07:13

It is generally perceived that the leak was NOT accidental. ie that the leak happened in the Netherlands, because there would be fewer copies to pulp than say, in another European country.
First, we have no idea if this 'conversation' really happened, as the version has changed several times. In fact it differs between Harry and Meghan on the Oprah Winfrey show to begin with. (Meghan said several conversations with Harry when she was pregnant, whereas Harry said one conversation before they were even married)
Then we had Harry saying no one was racist (talk show promoting his book).
Then we had a leak saying it was Camilla who joked about a ginger 'affro'.
There is footage of Harry talking about his 'ginger gene' with regard to his children. (So maybe it was him that was talking about the children's skin colour)
Then we now have 2 who are racist.
If I were Catherine, I would not want to be in the same room as either Harry or Meghan ever again, in case anything I said was twisted in any way.
I am now very apprehensive...We talked the other day about my own DGC who are biracial. How one looks like the mother, but generally takes after the father, and the other is the opposite way around...... Help!

I'm mortified that's how it came across!

It didn't come across like that to me.

I think that Meghan just couldn't accept that she wasn't the "star" of the family - and also that greeting people and making them feel comfortable was part of her "job" as a working royal. Meghan thought, I think, that she would command superstar celebrity status in the UK, in the same way she'd wanted to get in the US but never managed.

She was massively popular when she married Harry, but she was never more popular than William and Catherine and didn't like it. She lost that popularity as a result of her own behaviour. She thought she had to do too much, and that she should be recompensed for effectively getting out of bed to greet people.

As she said herself as she shook hands - "I can't believe I'm not getting paid for this." You were getting paid, Meghan - in adulation and tremendous privilege. It wasn't enough for you.
